  1. How to run DA Origins without the EA app launching? I could do this before, but I don't remember how, lol
  2. Could someone please tell me which mod uses this robes for Morrigan?
  3. Does anyone know if there's a plugin or something for Reshade that hides the filters on the UI layer only? For example, when using ComicToon Reshade, we can tweak the Outlines.fx to make the UI like maps, inventory, journals, etc, more clear, but then you lose a bit of the point of the mod, the strong comic style. Is there a way to move the UI layers on top of the Reshade filters, or to lock the UI layers from being modified by the app?
  4. Haha you sure helped, thanks :D I just sometimes wish I had an alien citizenship in a place far away. I don't know if I'd ever want to be back to Earth though, probably just for a quick visit.
  5. You can add a "Hurricane Survivor" to your accomplishments list in life then fellow. Although it might have been terrifying and it's no joke, it was a rare occasion that you manage to get away from. Hurricanes are beautiful, cool, it leaves us in a kind of awe to see such a force of nature, but they're deadly and f*ks up many lives and families along their path, they're incredible but they s*k for doing that. Tornados, cyclones, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, meteors, they're all amazing and show how weak we are and that we must respect such a force. Be safe, be well in your "tent" and flow with good vibrations, capture the good ones, block the bad ones. #peace
  6. You were caught in the eye of a hurricane and survived to tell the tale, not everyone can say that. Stories like that immediately get my interest, it's like a magnet that pulls us to know more. Your story reminded me of the movie Twister (no about hurricanes, it's about tornadoes but the atmosphere you spoke of reminded of some scenes from that movie). If you're in a wooden tent amongst the nature, you're privileged :) There was a time I was kind of getting addicted to watching videos about camping, people building shelters in the woods, or cold environments, etc and that gives me a relaxing and good feeling, especially if there are dogs involved, lol Anyway, take care #peace
  7. Well hahaha for Clark's defense (not that I comply to it, just seeing things on his side), maybe he didn't help much, using his powers, because he was trying to blend in somehow, to act "normal", probably to protect his own Earth parents from the cruelty of us humans. That'd be a comprehensible excuse imo, but Idk if it was the best option or not. Besides some flaws and exaggerations, Superman is a figure the world "needs" (at least needed in a stronger way at times of war), that we all sometimes think would be good to end or protect against what we judge being evil. It would be a catalyst to solve worldwide problems. Sometimes we "need" a hero, at least it's comforting to think about that once in a while. For now, we have no aliens to help us out (at least I think) so, all hands on deck cap. You're a hard worker and a winner, facing problems, fighting for new tomorrows, you're strong and that's great, keep that strength. I wish I could be like that, but life's always dragging me down, the stone's heavy and I'm weak. Working on that though, each step at a time. Cool story, you've added lots of details, to the environment and all, it was good to read it. I think everyone can spot a sort of unexplainable phenomena if one really want to. It's rare, but if you really look for it, I mean really, not just wish for it, you might eventually see. In a 24h day, for how long do we look at the stars? Most people don't even have the privilege to see a clear sky. If it was, on average, 1 minute of looking attentively to the skies in a 24h cycle, it'd be a lot, because we usually just take a glance to the sky, for a few seconds and it's not everyday. About the lights you saw, how swift did they move, and how was the trajectory, how did they behave? Like, there are those satellites that are little light dots moving straight across the sky in a constant speed, or the space station (which I still haven't seen but maybe soon I'll fix that), and there are lights that don't move in a straight trajectory, with alternating speeds, maybe changing sizes and colors. Your camping reminded me of my hometown, a small town with like 14k people, mostly a rural area with neighboring towns being very similar, on the hills, with altitude around 1k-2k meters high above the ocean, here in the southern hemisphere. I used to camp every year, not because of work like you, but for entertainment with relatives and friends. And up there on the hills, the sky is even clearer, you can see the details of the milky way and all, so the sightings of phenomena in the sky are common, 100% chance to see something other than stars of planets in the sky, being it a comet or satellite (or something else). It's a pity the world is becoming too bright in populated areas and too polluted, hiding all the beauty of the sky above us. Anyway, a very high percentage of people living or visiting that are have seen something not so ordinary in the sky. Ironically though, the oddest sighting I had was here where I'm at now, in a much bigger city, with around 700k people, during the day, with a clear blue sky. I was with one ex girlfriend at the time, in an apartment and I was not used to look at the window at all there, as for privacy the windows were always blocked by curtains, but that day we were chatting and Idk why, I stared at the sky. It's hard to describe, but far in the horizon I say a light, the size of a regular star, or a planet like Venus, because it was not a blinking light, like stars, so more like a planet. At 1st glance I just thought it was Venus, but it was actually moving, so I thought it was a plane, simply reflecting the sunlight that's why it was so bright. It moved in a straight line across the sky until it came above us, like the 90º position of the 12h sun (Idk how to say this lol), straight above our heads and it wasn't that high up. Imagine a low opacity circular object, with 4 lights evenly distributed on it's edges, alternatively blinking, well not blinking but dimming, increasing the glow, fainting the glow in like 1,5 - 2 seconds time for each light. I didn't get too impressed or excited about it but we got out of the apartment to take a better look. I tried to capture a video with an old cellphone as the light went on in it's straight trajectory until the other side of the horizon, but the video was so horrible and pixelated you couldn't even see the light on the sky Lol. My ex gf kept looking at it and she said she some some kind of "tentacles" as she described, or ribbons, flowing out of the object, but I didn't see those "tentacles" because I was trying to turn the cell camera on and all. But the most amazing thing about this event wasn't the UFO, or UAP, but like a minute after it crossed the sky disappearing in the other side of the horizon, a double rainbow appeared, along with a beautiful sunset, making a kind of lens reflection. I was one of the most beautiful, or the most beautiful rainbow I've ever seen and people from other apartments were all coming out to look at the sky. Years later, traveling through my hometown and this big city here, I got an UFO in a dashcam (horrible quality, but it's something :P). I'm used to driving during the dawn, because it's more peaceful, less dangerous, less stressful and you can go faster. One night I was having an odd feeling like I should record the sky with my phone, to record the trip, but since I use Waze, or I recorded or I used the app. Then while passing through one of the small towns, on a hillside road, I saw the most beautiful meteor crossing the sky I had ever seen in my life, it was green, leaving the characteristic meteor tail showing the trajectory and so bright it enlightened the hills with that greenish color, it lasted like 3 seconds or so. Spectacular. It was when I decided to purchase a dash cam and like 2 weeks later, on a similar trip, I captured the light. The video is horrible haha but it was cool to see something different in the sky. The light disappeared behind the hills. I've also seen some odd lights in my hometown, but nothing too extraordinary, nothing moving too fast. I just wish I could take a ride with those fellas :D
  8. Also, be mindful of which games you make a collection for, some games DO NOT work with a collection because of the way they are modded. For instance a Collection will NOT work with No Man's Sky, because if you want to use more than a few mods, you're going to have to extract them and merge them, and recompile them, otherwise the only mods that will work are the ones that come last in the load order, and any mod that doesn't change the same file in the last mod in the load order. Same with Dragon's Dogma, it's the same deal as NMS, only the mod that's last in the load order will work. SO, don't bother making collections for those games, because you can't just pick a bunch of mods you like and stick them in a collection. I see, thank you for this tip fellow. I love those games. The collection in mind isn't for any of those though. Out of topic, but I can't wait for Dragon's Dogma 2 :D #peace
  9. Man, you actually said some really interesting things on the subject. Do you work in any law department or something? Maybe you could help people write/develop some laws about it. Somehow this atmosphere reminded me of the MIB movie, with aliens coming and going, working in many different jobs, with their own drama, etc. I think it's all interesting and fun :) I hope the aliens can help you with your house. I feel you when you say you're like an hermit playing videogames, I guess we all gamers have that in us at some point of our lives. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Btw, have you ever seen any alien-like phenomena, an UFO, an extraordinary or unexplainable out of this world occurrence?
  10. So, if your "modpack" presents no benefit to the community (other than a single download) we would prefer not to host it here. It's unfair on the original authors (even if they grant permission) to lose the exposure of their page and stat increases (downloads earn them Donation Points!) for a bundle that is nothing other than a combined ZIP. It's also quite low-effort on the pack creator's part in that they haven't really done anything significant to assemble to pack. If we (and the mod authors) did allow this, you could imagine the chaos of having 200 pages containing various combinations of existing mods and that would drown out any original content. These are some of the reasons why we created our Collections system the way we did. Most of the common questions are covered in the FAQ. You're welcome to create your "modpack" as a Collection, or even as a text-based list of mods to download (but that should not be posted as a mod page). If you do have the permission for all mods and it's "more than the sum of it's parts" then it may be valid to post as a compilation, but I'd recommend you stick to getting the files from the original source for the benefit of those who put their time into creating the mods in the first place. Thank you! I'm grateful your your clarification, for this enlightenment. At last an honest, clear, mature answer with no judgments and even with tips related to the matter. You deserve a 10/10 for your customer service bro, ty.
  11. If you get easily annoyed by specific questions and don't feel like helping with answers, don't join a discussion. this isn't a discussion though, is it? all you're doing is rehashing old ground thats been covered before many, many times. bottom line - you can't do what you want to do, legally. but you don't think copyright law should apply to you and your idea. then there's the ethical side of things where you want to take peoples work and put it in YOUR collection so that YOU don't have to deal with vortex - but really any mod manager - and you're passing that off as some sort of "favour" to the community. (it 100% isn't). it shows, from your side, a complete disregard for rules, laws and people's work. it shows you know nothing about modding, and how this idea is technically flawed from the get go. it shows you care less when people answer your banal questions in ways you don't like, which provokes you to ask the same question a different way. been here, seen it, done it all before. people pop up with this unoriginal idea, it quickly falls apart then they disappear. you cannot do what you want to do and publish it as a community endevor - at least - not here, but will that stop you? You're so arrogant and toxic, how come you're even allowed to post here in this community? A collection isn't stealing other people's works, a pack WITHOUT permission could be. I never said copyrights aren't important or "copyright law should apply to you and your idea" like YOU'RE accusing me, that I'm doing a "favor" to the community, you say I show a "complete disregard for rules, laws and people's work", that I'm being s*lly, that my questions are "banal", etc, those are all YOUR words and unfair accusations towards me. Keep your destructive critic and hate to yourself. You're not being of any help, just venting your stress into others. I'm just asking questions in the community and searching for specific clarifications. I'm not bothering nor being disrespectful to anyone or any works here but you are totally being disrespectful towards me. If there are any rules in Nexus related to people being disrespectful towards others, then I hope they put your in your place. Go throw your judgmental and negative energy somewhere else.
  12. Yes, original content, copyrighted content (already with permissions given), and some existing mods, some with a few modifications, others as they are. So, it'd be more like an overhaul, not like a pack then?
  13. If you get easily annoyed by specific questions and don't feel like helping with answers, don't join a discussion.
  14. I think the major problem folks have with it, is the distribution method, as I described above. No way you are going to get around that. Authors WANT folks to visit their mod page, download/endorse their mod from there. A mod pack, as you want to implement, deprives them of all of that. There are many mods that use other mods or mods' assets, scripts and all in their files, and even with content from authors outside Nexus, like tmp7704 from moddb, NewSea from newseasims, or Anto from coolsims, to name a few. This is mostly the case for overhauls where other mods are included in the author's mod, or pack if you can say so, without the requirement for users to download the other mods individually "This mod does not have any known dependencies other than the base game". Folks don't even see/visit other modder's pages, since they're not even linked in the "Required" section. Users would need to check the credits section in the mod's description to help the authors they like. (search for "overhaul", "redesigned", "redone", etc in some mod's credits or mentions) I see no problem in this, since the authors all got the permissions and gave credits to their fellow modders. But still those mods are not seen as packs and are an "acceptable compilation". Why would a mod pack be any different and not be accepted? After all this discussion, I believe that what Nexus mean by "mod pack" is a mod that simply adds some other mods into it and is uploaded as is, with nothing else being modified, customized or added to the whole package itself, so it's considered as "not acceptable". On the other hand, mods like "overhauls", despite having characteristics of mod packs, with other mods/assets included, are not considered as "mod packs", because the whole pack (or the whole mod) has its own customizations. Correct me if I'm wrong with this conclusion.
  15. What would be an "acceptable compilation", or mod pack then? For example, if I add a UI mod, a texture mod, a character mod and add a soundtrack to the mix, or add a custom gear, perk, dialogue, or etc to the pack, is it acceptable then?
  16. It's against the rules, the rules you were given a link to, even if you do have permission for every single mod there is still this.... The rules in the file submission and collection guidelines are for collections "which is ultimately only a list referencing various mods" but I'm asking about a mod pack, which would have many mods in a single upload, with permissions and credits. It's still not 100% clear to me these specific rules regarding mod packs. Edit: nevermind, I just saw your quote regarding compilations, so no repackaging means no mod packs allowed, right?
  17. When you have 300+ mods i.e. for Skyrim I'd say it'd be beneficial indeed to remove duplicates. As "HeyYou" mentioned, a one click download makes things a lot faster and I don't see it as negligible.
  18. I already answered that: "The mods here in Nexus don't necessarily need Vortex/managers to be downloaded or installed, the same would be the case with this mods pack." The only way to do that, would be if you had all of the mods, their assets, etc, archive in some fashion, such that you would have ONE truly huge download. If you don't have permission from each and every mod author in that 'mod pack', you would be violating copyright... Nexus won't allow you to upload that here. Yes, it'd be like one huge file, or zipped files for the pack. There are huge mods in Nexus, the size of DLCs or expansions, stored in Nexus, couldn't a mods pack work the same way? About copyrights, there would be no copyright violation, but maybe some violation of Nexus rules, that's why I'm asking for clarification in the forums. The articles in Nexus explain a lot, but still I'd like to know about this more clearly you know. Although they say collections and packs are different, in essence they're the same, there are just different rules applied for each case. Erm, yes, there would. You would be taking someone elses work, and distributing it. If you didn't have permission for EVER mod in your pack, that IS a violation of copyright. No getting around that. File size is irrelevant. With permissions granted there'd be no copyright violations. Idk about violating the rules of Nexus though, that's why I'm asking here, if it's possible or not to upload a mods pack, instead of a collection. Correct. If you had permission for every mod in the mod pack. Don't expect that to happen though. Fair few mod authors are opted in to donation points, which is based on the number of downloads they get. If YOU are distributing their mod, they don't get those downloads.... Even those that aren't opted in, a significant percentage of them still remember all the negative connotations of 'mod packs'.... and want no part of them. Better plan would be to just spring for one month of premium, and then download the collection you want via vortex. I see, I know some modders didn't like the idea of collections either, in the beginning, and I believe some even removed their mods. Some don't bother with donation points, or rely mostly on other platforms to get their donations, others don't care much about it at all. So, back to the initial question, is it possible to add mods packs here, or is it against the rules?
  19. I already answered that: "The mods here in Nexus don't necessarily need Vortex/managers to be downloaded or installed, the same would be the case with this mods pack." 20. I'd user the mods with permissions granted from the authors and also the copyrighted content, like related to music will have permissions granted. I just want a better clarification about Nexus rules and if it's possible or not to share packs here, since collections are now a thing. With this list of links you mentioned the user would still have to visit and download all mods one by one and they'd have to remove the duplicates and organize the files. They wouldn't need Vortex, but Vortex in this case would still be better, at least faster I guess.
  21. Another important thing to mention is that the pack would not have duplicate files, like in collections when using Vortex, with many mods that use the same files. This would save space and make things (possibly) run faster.
  22. The pack would be stored in Nexus, like other DLC-sized mods are. I already answered you about updates. It's a manual installation pack, it's for the user to manually install the pack and to eventually update a mod. I've already explained why and although you have your opinions and you think it's s*lly, I think differently and I think it's useful. The main reason, again, is for convenience and to facilitate installations especially for those who prefer to install mods manually. Collections works for Vortex only and works best and more automated for premium users only. Packs with manual installation would help in this regard. There would be no need for 3rd party mod managers. Users would download the whole pack directly. For some, manual installation and updates are a downside, for others it isn't.
  23. I already answered that: "The mods here in Nexus don't necessarily need Vortex/managers to be downloaded or installed, the same would be the case with this mods pack." 24. Thanks fellow, appreciate you taking your time to answer. Ty
  25. OMFG!!! I use Nexus for years (seasonal user but whatever) and I've never seen this drop-down thing. Thank you! LOL
