You know, there has been lack of Colonial style weaponry in both the vanilla game and mods. Sure, we have the Laser Musket, the Broadside, Revolutionary Swords, and Far Harbor gave us the Harpoon Gun, but no one has taken advantage of the Colonial Era aesthetics and themes that the game has (or at least the Minutemen aesthetics equipment wise). For instance, we can have a Fallout 4 equivalent, or modification of, the Puckle Gun, a 18th Century "machine gun": And rather than firing musket shot, this weapon could have been modified to fire more modern munitions, like plasma for instance (and we do have a lack of Plasma heavy weapons that isn't a reskined Gatling laser, with some notable exceptions).

Hell, whose to say Full Metal Alchemist still doesn't exist in this timeline. This could have been created as some kind of collaboration effort to raise morale in Japan using something that is relatively (by their standards) old and familiar, and create solidarity in US-Japanese relations. Considering that Japan would be a jumping off point for any US troops invading China at the time, it wouldn't be that far fetched and If civilian companies can get T-51 parts and frames as a form of marketing, why can't US allies?

Definitely a hermit crab with a tank for a shell. It's from Metal Slug. Basically that, have the turret be like a separate limb or like the gunner position on a vertibird. Sure, it might be a scripting nightmare, but considering that this game wasn't out for more then a month before the first mods came out, and considering this communities history in making crazy mods, I don't think that's much of an issue for someone truly interested in this kind of idea. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of the least complicated things to be requested that actually bears fruit. If nothing else Nocte, its just to give Fallout some Metal Slug love.

So, weird idea. Bunch of crazy trappers have tamed a giant hermit crab using a beta wave emitter and decide to jury rig a tank unto it as a new shell (The fog does weird things man). You can either take out the crab itself, OR the beta emitter and make it go berserk on it's handlers.
