  1. I can't say that I'm a total beginner with modding and I've accomplished a few things prior to this. It's been quite a while and I guess my knowledge have dropped off and I'm feeling a bit confused about some aspects of the Papyrus scripting and that with spells. There's a spell already available that does pretty much what I want, but I'd like to learn what it does so that I can in the end create my own variant of it to have on my own playthrough. The spell/magic I'm referring to is the Bat Travel by @DidymusEi Looking through the spells and where they lead and what scripts they call, I'm now entirely lost and I'd like some help figuring this out. I realize I could just go into the mod and alter these things on my own and have it work pretty much like I want it to, but as I said, I'd like to intergrate it into my private mod. Instead of me just changing the effects. The current intent is to try and make the bat travel spells into some sort of nether type thing, you don't become a cloud of bats, you become a dark cloud or just something different. So, in short, I guess what I need help with is some explanations on the scripts in the Bat Travel mod so that I can create one for myself.
  2. Would it realistically be possible to make a SKYUI based mod for recreation of characters and or saves that have been bloated from too much modding, or just somehow in any way failed so much so that you have no other choice but to restart everything. That's probably one of the most shitty experiences you can have with Skyrim in general, be it caused by bugs or human error. By that I mean making a mod based in SKYUI with controllers for basically most things you can think of regarding what a save might contain. Like, which stats you have, what perks you've picked, which quests you've done, which spells you've learned, which locations you've discovered and literally anything else you can think of in recreation of your character. What I'm thinking is a controller basically. Which if possible should be able to load in with custom mods as well, but not as a priority. So I'm thinking different menus. Such as, quests and then having tick boxes if you've initiated it, if you've finished or possibly a slider controlling in between the different stages of a quest. Which spells you've learned, same thing there, a tick box where you can just add the spells you already did know prior to what happened. Am I being vague? So basically a SkyTweak, but for your progression and character and not the actual gameplay. So it'd be considered a cheatmod. Is this possible?
  3. I've been doing some very simple mods for myself, some scripting and whatnot. Also prior to Skyrim some very very minor mesh mods. I've been sticking mostly to textures, but have yet to attempt anything in Skyrim as far as that concerns. I would love to though, I've taken up some 3D modeling and I have a clear idea of things I would like to do and eventually share. I do however have some questions that I can't seem to find any answers to. I am creating a custom race and I'd like to change the teeth for them to fangs that I myself will make, not sure how to rig the teeth, I can change the model myself, as for getting a working dds for the new mesh, not so much. I've been trying to get a custom modders resource downloaded from the nexus onto my custom race as a test, but to no avail. So one of my questions are, How do I give a custom race a custom mouth/teeth. Another one is, how would I rig this custom mesh so that it knows which is the upper jawline of teeth and the bottom so that opening the mouth actually follows the jaw. (As the mesh consists of teeth hanging loose from the actual jaw in the .obj file) To help me along with what I'm trying to do here right now before doing anything serious with it, I'm trying to add the argonian teeth to a human mouth and add it onto my custom race. and later to make it proper, how do I render a dds file for that mesh so that I can texture it. Help?
  4. I just solved it for myself by accident. Logic says: The only thing that separates 2 characters with different issues is the inventory (yes..) Go to QASmoke using COC and then use PCB, save. Load save, do a player.resetinventory. Problem solved, no more crashes for me. No disabled mods, no altering or downloading. Solved it for all my characters. Try that :)
