I ran a clean install. This time to C;\Games\Bethesda\Fallout3. Tested quit, fine, no problems. Installed FOMM, Exits with no problem. Deleted GfWL, wont start, need xlive.dll. Installed Fake dll from FOMM. Game now freezes on Exit. Any suggestions?? Engel

No worries fonger - the question was.. how can I install it without steam.. did I say I was going to get a cracked game? I said I'd do that before I played a steam game.. is there any way to install FO NV on a internetless computer?? It's an offline game using only one player fer cryin out loud!! OK, and now as I install f&$%ing steam (which I hate to no end) I'm told I need to "Activate (my) account" to play??? WTF?? It's a solo game you you Steam meatheads.. I'll go with a cracked/hacked game first.. uninstalling the retail version (purchased at wally world) until I'm told how to install without invasive content.

Tried it with Gfwl disabled (Used the disabler found on the Nexus) same problem. I'll try with the fake dll/uninstalling and all that rot. I hated GfWL from the start. No CTD, it just -freezes- the computer. Only a reboot seems to help. Game plays fine otherwise. I'm running FOMM and Darn's UI, AFIK the latest builds of all three. Tried "fallout safe exit" to no avail. I delete FOSE and the game exits normally. Running FO3 GOTY (Retail) with all the DLC. ALL OTHER MODS DISABLED. Machine is Toshiba Qosimo, i7 processor running at 160 Ghz, 6 GB ram, NVidia GeForce GTS 360M video card all on Windows 7 64bit. I'd love to be able to run FOSE without this problem because of the added goodies in Darn's UI. Any suggestions? Yes, clean install with no other mods still seems to cause the problem. 10Q Engel

I seem to have the same problem. Uninstalling FOSE seems to make it go away...but then, some of my mods don't work to their fullest.. Sigh

Did you change the font in the fallout .ini?

I have the same sort of problem though mine is just that it causes the computer to freeze when I exit the game. I uninstall FOSE and all is well. Retail, GOTY All DLC FOMM 1.10 FOSE 1.2 B3 Win 7 Darn's UI Folder permission set to Full Disabled (to the best of my knowledge) GfWL Any Suggestions? I'd really like to be able to run FOSE because of the goodies in Darn's UI.
