How easy/hard would it be to add a Speech skill check to this quest? It always bothered me that there was no way to actually "deceive" the guards into thinking that you were a "Dawnguard" member who was just doing their job. Something like, "I am with the Dawnguard, this person was really a vampire masquerading as a citizen. They had to be killed." And then have the guard just give a generic response instead of paying a bounty. I know a lot of people HATE this quest and just use the Annoying Quest mod to remove it, but I would like to see somebody actually improve on it a bit.

I'm having an issue where the vampire standing feed animation isn't playing properly, it starts and then immediately stops. I know this is a notoriously buggy animation but I never had any issues with it until recently and I'm trying to figure which mods (if any) are possibly breaking it. There also seem to be virtually no replacers for this animation either. My LO:

Every time I try to buy spells from Drevis, I get a CTD. No other merchant has this issue, it's JUST Drevis. I don't have any merchant mods installed, did some cleaning, verified files, made a bashed patch, etc, but nothing has helped.

Now I'm getting a fatal error: (0) FATAL ERROR The Creation Kit encountered a fatal error and has crashed. Reason: An invalid parameter was sent to a function that considers invalid parameters fatal (0x5041524D).

I was trying to open the CK to check a certain mod, but it instantly closed every time I did. I uninstalled/reinstalled and made sure it was in the right location, but nothing helped.

Save game size isn't the problem, and I always make sure to clear out old saves when starting a brand new playthrough. I already started a new game since a couple of my mods that were updated required me to, I also got rid of some mods before hand that I really wasn't using anymore so I'll just have to see how it goes.

I've already done all of what you said above, SKSE's been updated to 2.0.19 since before this started happening. And it doesn't affect all saves, just my most recent ones and I have no idea why. Like it only lets me play up to a certain point before crashing, even after reloading an earlier save and playing up to a certain point again. I even tried making a new profile on Vortex with only some relevant mods active, and it was going fine until just yesterday when it suddenly started crashing again.

So I just tried disabling and purging all mods and trying to load my save and it STILL crashes, so I don't think it's even mod related anymore. SOMETHING is ruining my saves and I don't know what.

I played this game for several hours just the other day and everything was fine, today I loaded it up and if crashed on the load screen. I posted this on another forum a little while ago, but I'd really like to have a "better skull of corruption" mod similar to the Better Staff of Magnus mod. I really love the look of the SoC and the idea that it's powered by dreams, but the vanilla staff is just so pathetically weak for a daedra weapon. It needs to be stronger!
