  1. So I'm using Multiple Skyrim Installation Manager http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/29307 which is useful for me testing mods on a separate install or anything else I would need two installs of Skyrim. So now I'm at a point where I'm using mods in both installs but they're different mods. For example I may be using one texture mod on one installation and a different texture mod on another install. Problem is, for one of them I'm using NMM which makes it easier, and the other it's all manual. Is there a way just like Multiple Skyrim Installation Manager that I can have two NMM installs managing two sets of mods without conflicting with each other?
  2. So yeah kind of late reply here but turns out it was apachii hair causing the ctd. Could have been another mod conflicting with it but when I disabled that it seemed to work. Also I was getting the ctd when I either fast traveled or just walked all the way over there.
  3. I'm not sure I installed any NPC mod that I removed for this to happen but when I fast travel to Kynesgrove for the main storyline quest, the game CTD some time after the screen is loading. So I checked the papyrus log and in the last few lines this is what it mentions, as a matter of fact this is what's mentioned through the log really. 4. Didn’t know how to create a crash log but will look into how you do that after this post. So I was crashing after I leave the first cave. So pretty much what happened was, I installed some mods on the 11th that made it worse, I then disabled all those mods and was still running into crashing problems. So last night I decided I’ll start a new game and a minute into it the game will crash now. I used boss, it didn’t give me any errors besides saying that I need to use TESVEdit. Now here’s the thing, previously when I had more mods installed I got the same results, never cleaned anything with TESVEdit or use Wyre Bash. And the game ran fine and maybe rarely I would encounter a CTD but that was normal. Anyways I know each install might be different and new mod updates etc. so this time around things are different. I did use TESVEdit this time and cleaned things up, I’m not sure if I did it correctly but following some video I did and now Boss doesn’t give me any message for the mods saying to use it, so I’m assuming I did it correctly. However I am getting the “Bash Tag suggestion(s): {{BASH: Delev, Relev}}” message which I used to get before as well. I installed Wyre Bash, and to be honest I can’t figure it out. I checked some thread where someone mentioned that it’s normal for it to display that message in BOSS, it has something to do with modders. I did however create the patch and enabled it but still no luck but then again it could be because I didn't do it correctly. I personally think I did, but, you never know. I’m using the 2A version of Claralux. My shadows are really high with the ini file edits I made, but again I didn’t have a problem before. I might try lowering them a bit. I didn’t know about the auto save thing, will look into that as well. And when I re-installed Skyrim I deleted everything, I even got rid of nexus mod manager stuff as well as the mods which I re-downloaded all over again just because I found that easier than to find mods I don’t need and delete that. What I’m going to try doing as well is disable all mods and enabled them 1 by 1 this time on a new save and see how that goes. Again most of these mods I’m using are the same ones I’ve used before with many more mods installed at the time and I had no problem, so not sure of why it’s acting up now when I have fewer mods installed. But I’ll try some things you’ve mentioned today and see how it goes. Yeah I read my BOSS log, used TESVEdit to clean things. No errors besides that, and to be honest I didn't clean s*** before and everything worked fine when I had more mods installed. I've even checked if there might be some required mods I'm missing that I'm not running this time around but nothing I could fine. Same thing with my specs, it worked before but not now. Either way, I'm running on an i7, 12GB of RAM, GTX680, I don't know but I'd say it's decent enough since I was able to pull off more mods before with these specs. Actually I've upgraded too, before that I was running at 8GB on an ATI HD5850 with a s*** ton of mods as well, and with ini tweaks and I used to get low FPS during battles but no crashes or anything like that. So I doubt it's my specs but then again you could be right and I was just lucky before. Not sure, but either way I think I need to disable all my mods this time and just enable them one by one.
  5. I just did the whole Tes5edit thing and run boss again, and it's still crashing for me.
  6. Ok so recently I deleted all my mods and decided I'll start downloading again just to help me organize and reduce the amount of mods I have. So I've started a new game, hell I even re-installed Skyrim just to make sure I might not run into any problems. Well turns out I have a lot of problems now. Most of these mods are texture mods I've used previously and never ran into problems. So I just re-downloaded mods that I thought were really important. So I got rid of most of the armor and weapon mods. So anyways, now most of my ctd's happen when I'm out of a city trying to explore. Either it crashes while loading, or once I fast traveled and it loaded it will crash after a few seconds. I'm run BOSS to sort the load order, uninstalled and re-installed mods in different combinations to see what's conflicting. Honestly I've spent like probably more than 3 hours each day for the past 3 days now trying to solve my problems. I hope you guys can help me narrow it down to what the problem is. Here's the load order, not sure if you guys need my mod list. I figured the load order might be more important. Some of the plugins were disabled but I enabled it all back again just for the sake of figuring out what's conflicting with what. Also my PC is able to run all these mods and have skyrim on the highest settings, so that shouldn't be a problem. http://i.imgur.com/k5SwR.jpg
  7. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Yeah I guess I'll go with the 670 2GB.
  8. Thanks for the replies guys, I guess that answers the 2gb vs 4gb question. I guess I just need to decide if I should get the 670 or the 680.
  9. What about if you use a lot of mods and also use ENB, isn't that going to impact the memory usage a bit more?
  10. Ok so it's time for me to upgrade my video card which is an ATI HD5850. At first I was looking to get the GTX 680, then I came across some reviews for the GTX 670 and it seems like there's a very small difference between them which made me consider the GTX 670 instead, I just thought it's not worth the extra money to get a card that's 5% better at most or something. However now I'm wondering which 670 to get, should I get the 2gb or the 4gb model? So this is what I do right now for you to get an idea on which one would be better for me. Right now I have 2 monitors running at 1680x1050 each (not sure if this makes much of a different or not), however I don't play games where it's expanded on two monitors. So I'll play on one monitor while I might have a video playing on the other or have any instant mesenger windows open on the other, but the other monitor is always on and active. So I'm not sure if having another monitor running but not having the game expanded onto it will matter how much memory the card has. Now I do have a 50" Plasma TV that I just bought so I'm thinking that some times I might want to play on that and have it running at 1920x1080 resolution. Now I wouldn't play on that all the time, but having that option would be great. Now the other part is Skyrim. I'm obviously playing it modded, and I read somewhere that having a 4gb would be good for that. I do want a better frame rate than what I get now with my 5850 running it at ultra. So considering all that, should I spend extra and get the 4gb or would I do just as good with the 2gb? Or should I even consider the GTX 680 again, but again from what I saw on a couple of sites it didn't seem like there was a big difference between the 670 and the 680 and since a 4gb of that would be a bit too much for me so I'd probably go with a 2gb of that if I did get it. I plan on buying this some time next month, so any suggestions would be appreciated.
  11. All my saves seemed corrupted, so I decided to delete it all and start a new game. I don't mind starting all over again. However the problem I'm having this time is that Skyrim will not save my game. I made a new character, saved the game and it creates no game save file at all. I even tried using the save command in the console menu and it will not save it. I don't get any errors or anything, it looks like it saves it but when you go to check it, there's nothing saved. I even deleted my saves folder hoping it will create one when I start a new game but it didn't even do that. Downloading a game save from the internet and putting it in the saves folder doesn't help either. You can't select load from the game. I tried unchecking read only in the folder of skyrim, and the my games folder. It goes back to read only, so that's not helping anything either. I even deleted my skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini files and that didn't do anything either. I really want to start all over again but I'm not sure what to do here now.
  12. Thanks for the reply and yeah I am using the TV enb, but like I said everything was working fine. I tried your settings as well and it didn't work. So I just deleted both the skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini and adjusted my tweaks with the same settings as before and it seemed to work this time. And yeah I'm going to start backing up my ini files, saves and the entire skyrim folder from now on.
  13. I didn't have this problem earlier today. What happened was, I installed some mods and didn't like them so I uninstalled them. Well, I got the save file corruption that way, and I read somewhere running steams file integrity check might fix it, which it didn't. So I loaded an earlier save file, but what happened was, steam reset my video settings and changed some values in my skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini file. I had followed this guide http://www.geforce.com/Optimize/Guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide/#1 a week ago, and I have an ATI card so I just followed the ini file tweaks. Everything looked great, so I went back and changed some of the values like I had before which it looked fine. However now when I load my game, the shadows look weird. Here's a screenshot, and as you can see how the shadows look messed up now. http://i.imgur.com/D336A.jpg How do I fix this?
  14. So some of the mods I use for character appearances are like UNP, no more blocky faces, better faces by bella, Basvanbeus Mesh and Texture Changer Version 2 and the CBBE skin texture V2 V3 plus Thepal and UNP compatible. Now here's the thing, for example if I install and activate no more blocky faces and use better faces by bella, that will want to overwrite the no more blocky faces files. Now my question is, would it be smarter to have no more blocky overwrite the better faces by bella (or even CBBE skin texture V2 V3 plus Thepal and UNP compatible - Female Face skin v1_8 Fuller Lips v2 ) or the other way around? Or is it pointless having the no more blocky face if I'm using the face texture mods? With which mod combination would I have less noticable neck seam issues with?
