  1. I'm looking to see if anyone knows how to solve this, but as shown in the image, I often have a dark oval in the sky that follows the camera. It's especially visible if I have NAC X enabled, and turn on clear skies. It's difficult to pin down an exact setting that causes this, and I don't think it's an intended feature. Does anyone have more insight as to what this is?
  2. Anyone up for making a mod that does this? I know in the vanilla game this track is actually missing from the Mysterious Broadcast, and various mods and patches "fix" this by re-adding it, but I'd like a mod that removes it again. You can just delete it manually in the files or NVEdit, but that just leads to silence for the entire duration this track would otherwise be playing. I hate everything about this song and think it doesn't belong on this radio, so a mod that excises it seamlessly would be appreciated.
  3. I got the Snus Dungeons resources from https://www.reddit.com/r/oblivion/comments/agp22n/where_can_i_download_snus_dungeons/eemln45/, files within are here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YRAUXYARKJoDK9uiehxJe4tzPk_H41gX/view Snus Dungeons esps I got from https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/46199?tab=posts, files within are listed here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ri6OLbw1TniBwXqZgztZ6RDUNijtgsR7/view I'd upload an image of the glitch but for whatever reason I'm "Not Allowed To Use That Image Extension On This Community". https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/images/176152 Edit: Just linked to image uploaded to database instead, it shows the glitch.
  4. Snus Dungeons seems to be responsible for this, it revamps the entirety of Greenmead Cave and disappears when uninstalled, but this particular texture with some branches hanging off the ceiling seems to be missing. There's a larger variant of this same texture in the same cave that's also missing as well. It's worth noting that I have the necessary esps as well as the meshes and textures for resources, so there shouldn't be anything missing, especially since I meticulously checked for compatibility and patches and installed them through Wrye Bash. Does anyone know how to resolve this, or even identify the specific texture?
  5. I'd figured as much when I replaced it, though never attributed an integral setting like the GPU to the FalloutPrefs.ini. Unfortunately I don't have the time or patience to individually try and discern the effect of each line and then run the game for both variants of the ini file for each one. The replacement ini is still built with Windows 10, high settings and ENB in mind so it's the closest I'll get to the "recommended" settings optimised for my system in the absence of my greater understanding of every individual line in the ini.
  6. After replacing specifically the FalloutPrefs.ini file with a replacement supposedly more suitable for a playthrough using Windows 10 and ENB, I've noticed that every single time I open NVSE with this replacement FalloutPrefs.ini, it redirects me to the launcher and brings up a message proclaiming it will "now detect your video hardware and set video options accordingly". This resets both the FalloutPrefs.ini file and the Fallout.ini to their base, vanilla configuration without fail (regardless of whether or not I made them read-only as a precaution prior to launching NVSE). The main problem here is that it's opening the launcher, it shouldn't. I'm supposed to be brought straight to the game itself. Other issues that also appear after this are the launcher taking roughly 15 seconds to "set video options", basically freezing whenever it brings up this message, in addition to not closing properly if I attempt to close it, as the process will remain in task manager after and I'll have to close it manually to relaunch any variation of New Vegas. Update: Solved. The "sD3DDevice" setting in FalloutPrefs showed a different GPU than what I was actually using, meaning I forgot to replace it with my own graphics card. I only ever seem to solve these issues after I post them online.
  7. LOL, Fo3 ? runs on just about anything, 10 is not an issue if you know what to do, but, the source of the game and the method used to install it bares to mind. I can Guarantee any one I can get the game to run on any system smooth as silk. It's used as a measuring tool here for graphics. steam game? it will on windows 10 automatically install all the appropriate software required with 1 exception. GOG Galaxy game, same as above. The exception to this rule is Intel graphics chip-sets. For that, I have posted already about it. search Intel Bypass on Google, Go to the link on the nexus and read my posts. Test.your done. have fun. I'm sure your particular "solution" is the exception from the rest, of course. I've discovered from experience that the more patches and compatibility programs you download to get Fallout 3 working (which is practically impossible with the GOTY Steam version on Windows 10), then the more unstable and broken the game gets. Add mods on to that and you have yourself a game as fragile as glass. #1. I mention nothing about mods, it Is a statement of fact for Just the game and yeah, steam as well. #2. If you install a bunch of mods, fix it's and all the things you have been led to believe fixes the game before even clearing out the systems issues with the game first? then there's no way in hell your going to get the game to run. #3. In yellow is your problem...just stop all that nonsense and pretend it's just a normal game, stop trying to fix what not even running yet. by your own admission is the problem. you need help? I can help, you need rebuttal? this is not the way to get that. The fact is that the game, when installed as the GOTY edition on Steam on Windows 10, is unstable and I could clearly see this even before downloading the "recommended" third-party programs and making changes to the system. Most of the software installed initially is actually counter-productive to the experience and accounts for a very specific setup you're unlikely to have, especially when you have contradicting advice to get it functioning on Windows 10 in the first place. It's not a normal game, it was practically broken when I first installed it and with every single tweak and small change I make it becomes even more unreliable. If it doesn't immediately function perfectly when you install it then it is beyond redemption. windows 10--- is not the platform the game was designed to run on, it's 10 year old software, requires 10 year old mentality to understand whats needed, the correct procedure to install it as of current builds on that OS is fully functional now, The CD version of the game GOTY contains old anti theft software that is not allowed on current data bases.."secureRom", Steam does not contain that junk. From all of this. I'm gathering there's a question Not being asked ? So ask it. never know, I might post the information here. But, Fo3, FNV. SKyrim, and most of the Other Bethesda games is based on their current distribution platforms. GOG galaxy does exactly the same procedures during install and setup as well, no differences in 3rd party installations. game requirement's all with the same exceptions. "windows 10--- is not the platform the game was designed to run on" I never denied this statement, in fact that shows that the version downloaded is broken and non-functioning. I have followed the typical supposedly correct procedure on how to get Fallout 3 functioning on the OS to the letter and still, I can see evidently that there are problems with the vanilla program that are a result of it being a Steam installation on Windows 10. Third-party programs and "tweaks" designed to fix the functionality on Windows 10 are dubious at best and often end up breaking another aspect of the game rather than alleviating any outstanding issue. Maybe it's working perfectly for you but even before I tried to mod the game it hasn't been for me.

  10. Fallout 3 barely functions on any OS, let alone Windows 10. You have your work cut out for you.
  11. There are mods for increasing the level cap, which is useful if you feel like you missed a perk you want (or downloaded a mod that adds more perks). I'm not sure how the level scaling functions though, since I'm sure Bethesda only designed it in mind with the player reaching a max of 30.
  12. Since you moved the location of Oblivion, did you let the New Installation of Oblivion generate a new Oblivion.ini in C:\users\YOUR NAME\Documents\My Games\Oblivion\ ? Are you using a MOd Manager? Yes, when I deleted the previous install I ran the launcher again to generate the ini file. I'm using Wyre Bash for downloading mods, though I've installed OBSE manually. I seem to have solved it now actually. I went into the properties of the Steam exe and GameOverlayUI exe in C:\Games\Steam, set them to "run as administrator" in the compatibility tab, and now OBSE is detected. I also renamed the folder as it was previously called C:\Games\Steam Library. I'm not sure which of those fixed it and I'm a bit suspicious as to how recommended running Steam as admin is but it at least works for now.

  14. No, OBSE is still compatible, I didn't see you mention the OBSE_STEAM_LOADER.dll which is needed to have OBSE run with Steam. I meant to put obse_steam_loader.dll there as well. I know the obse_loader isn't necessary to run it if you're using the Steam version but even if I install the entire folder it still doesn't detect it. I ended up switching to using my GOG version of Oblivion, because there was a mod I wanted to use that required that Steam be set to run as admin, and I didn't want to mess up all my other games for it. So, none of these work? 1. Make sure you get the latest version from the official site: http://obse.silverlock.org 2. Unpack where it should be installed, where the Oblivion.exe file is: ..\Steam\SteamApps\common\Oblivion 3. Read the obse_readme.txt. You don't have to load the game from obse_loader.exe. That's only required in you have the retail disc version, or want to use the TES Construction Set (installed separately). Just make sure you have unpacked the files obse_1_2_416.dll, obse_editor_1_2.dll, obse_steam_loader.dll and the Data folder into the Oblivion directory and OBSE should load properly. 4. If you still have problems, make sure you have the Steam Overlay enabled. Although this is explained in the readme as a requirement, is not always necessary (I don't use the Steam Overlay with this game, and everything load properly, including OBSE and the plugins/mods that require it). 5. If you want to make sure you are running OBSE properly, you can use this mod that tests it for you, just follow the instructions on screen: OBSE Tester http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/33574/ After the test, and if you don't need it anymore, you can delete it after you have closed the game. Tried all of that, including the OBSE tester, which after 15 seconds ingame brings up a notification that I haven't installed OBSE correctly. I don't want to blame me moving the library but I could casually just chuck it into the Oblivion folder before moving it out of program files on my five or six reinstalls and it worked perfectly.
