  1. Thanks,  yeah I only click the F4SE launcher once, it can take some to start but it always does. I don't hit the launcher twice. I always use Task manger to kill the non responsive game (which is what precipitates this whole thing, I fire up Task Manager to close the problematic game when I noticed other "mirrors" were running in the back ground). I believe it's the creation of these additional pop up exes that brick my game during play. There is absolutely nothing on Google as far as I can see that speaks specifically to this issue. MS Knowledgebase  gets WAY into the weeds about something similar but that's WAY over my head.

  2. Hello All!

     For some reason FO4 is creating multiple exes in addition to the original using F4SE as launcher . Been using SE and mods for 10 years including Skyrim and I have never seen this kind of thing before. Naturally it keeps killing my game when it happens (which is frequently). In the attached image you will see TWO additional FO4 exes running. Any idea how to stop this??

    THANKS !!!

  3. Hello, sorry if this is a stupid question. Is there a magic way to command a follower to actually FOLLOW you and not enter into a dialogue all the time when hitting the "E" button? It's incredibly frustrating to go through cycle after cycle of E button presses hoping one will actually result in having the option to command them to follow when they are waiting? I have tried with weapons drawn, from different distances and crouching and practically every time I get dialogue options with no FOLLOW option.

    What am I doing wrong???

    THANKS!

  4. Hello!

    A little help please... I am trying to use my own textures (POV skin) for Amalia (mod link below). She is packed up in a BSA so it's not a simple overwrite. I have read that I can setup a loose files folder containing the textures so it overwrites the BSA on game load, but I have no clue where to put the folder?? I have tried several locations within textures but nothing seems to work?

    Any ideas?? What's the specific rule for doing this kind of thing?

    THANKS!!

    I don't know what your machine specs are, but

    ReservedMemorySizeMb=128

    VideoMemorySizeMb=2000

    .... is tiny for trying to run an ENB. What you are experiencing generally is symptomatic of these two values being set too low.

    I have an 8 Gb 1070 with 24Gb of system RAM and my settings are:

    ReservedMemorySizeMb=512

    VideoMemorySizeMb=10240

    There is a lot of conjecture out there as to how to arrive at these values. What Boris has to say vs a dozen other pundits can be very confusing.

    ReservedMemorySizeMb MUST be increased in 128 blocks. Try increasing this value to 384.

    VideoMemorySizeMb If you have more than 16GB of physical RAM try setting this value to 5120. This is largely dependent on the VRAM of your card, but with so many unknowns this number is a good place to start.

    These values are arbitrary and can be changed to suit the user, so don't worry about the rocket science behind many of the arguments you might see about these numbers.

    Also change the following to these values:

    DisableDriverMemoryManager=true
    DisablePreloadToVRAM=true

    It's unusual to have these two settings enabled.

  6. DLL Files Fixer Download Various installations or even viruses can damage some important files on your computer. DLL files are libraries of code for the Windows operating system itself, so they are very important. If a DLL file is missing or damaged, you may experience problems using your PC. This small program contains thousands of DLL files so you can easily restore or replace damaged or missing DLL files.

    Correct. At the CMD prompt (with Admin privs) type:

    sfc /scannow

    The sfc /scannow command will scan all protected system files, and replace corrupted files with a cached copy that is located in a compressed folder at %WinDir%\System32\dllcache. The %WinDir% placeholder represents the Windows operating system folder. For example, C:\Windows.

  7. OK! Do you know "how" to run xEdit from the initial screen so it lists mods that have a dependency on USKP? I'm not sure you can even disable the USKP patches in xEdit so the program will run?

    Ideas?

    EDIT: NVM I used wryebash to select each of the USKP patches in turn, a popup box will tell you which "child" mod in your load order is dependent on each USKP as you go. Turns out I only have one! Ha.

    Also deleting the inventorymenu.swf in your interface folder sometimes fixes inventory menus crashes. The game should regenerate this file for you, but back it up just in case before deleting it.

    This solution just worked for me. I was updating my mods, including skyui, and i experienced ctd on using inventory.

    I deleted all skyui files, but it didn't work. I then deleted inventorymenu.swf and that fixed it.

    Where are you finding this file? I looked in the Interface folder and it isn't there

    I have the same problem! Where the heck is this inventorymenu.swf file? It's not in the interface folder...
