  1. An update on the mod I need voices for -

The role of the investigator has been filled, and I've made another new character, so I still need two roles acted. Since I saw that others were doing it I made a Casting Call page so you can see the roles for yourself (you don't necessarily have to audition there, you can also send me a PM here on Nexus if you want.)

  2. Hello, at the moment I need two voice actors, one male and one female.

The male character is a bit of a scientist, and an investigator. I would want him to sound impatient with the player, and focused primarily on his work. Maybe a bit similar to Dr. Hildern from "There Stands the Grass"

The female character is a bit like a fortune teller, who feels a personal connection to the place she lives in. I would want her voice to sound like that of an artist/day-dreamer.

Be sure to PM me if you want to voice either of these characters, thanks.

  3. There shouldn't be any issues with that. I've played Skyrim and have added mods mid-playthough countless times without issue - mainly what is much more problematic is removing mods from your load order.

Re-sorting your load order shouldn't cause issues unless it's done incorrectly (like putting a mod above it's master, etc.) The game handles changed load orders perfectly fine - but missing mod files from something that was removed can actually cause issues. In other words, don't worry about adding mods or changing your load order (as long as you do it correctly - LOOT makes it easy), but do be incredibly cautious if you plan to remove something.

    I hope that helps.

  4. For most mods, it's fine to add them mid-playthrough. You do have to look out for certain mods though. Mainly, mods that alter the vanilla game like overhauls (simple retextures/model replacers are no worries though), or just really big/heavily scripted mods. To be safe, always check the mod's description to see if it specifically says anywhere that you shouldn't add it in the middle of a playthrough.

And yes it's good to keep an eye out for conflicts. I recommend sorting your load order with LOOT any time you add a new mod. After adding anything, it's always worth it to load up the game and test its stability before actually moving on with your playthrough. Never overwrite a good clean save immediately after adding a mod, just in case.

  5. I like anything surreal and dream-like. David Lynch is a huge inspiration to me, as well as Oneohtrix Point Never. A fair amount of the stuff in my mods are inspired by them.

Oh, and I also really like Mint and Chip ice cream.

  6. Just finished The Punisher on Netflix. Definitely one of my new favorites, the characters are awesome and there is plenty of good, brutal action - just the way it should be, considering how it's The Punisher, after all.

From what I've seen on the internet, it seems like it is one of those shows that is well-loved by audiences, but not by critics. Of course though, it's definitely not a show for pretentious critics, lol.

  7. I actually really liked Boone's quest "I Forgot to Remember to Forget". I just like his backstory and it felt good to be a badass team taking down waves of the Legion. "Come Fly with Me" is a close second, and I think it's a favorite for a lot of people.

"Heist of the Centuries" would probably be my favorite from the DLCs as Dead Money is just the best.

Also, starting a thread about favorites without posting your own favorites? Never seen that before :P

  8. Here's where I am currently at with caps and beers:

Also I have tons of unsold stuff so I probably have a net worth of ~100k at the moment! Currently I am at Jacobstown, now reaching the mid-point of vanilla Mojave stuff - still have all the DLC's and modded stuff to go through.

Nice! I wonder how many you could put into a room before the game crashes, lol.

  9. Go for a cig and beer run. You must keep and not use any alcohol you find and you must find and keep all cigarettes as well.

Funnily enough, I have already collected a ton of cigarettes and haven't sold them yet! I guess I could partially do the alcohol thing as well - I'll keep the beers and stash them in my suite. I wonder how many cigs and beers I'll have by the end of the run :P

  10. Oh I believe you for sure - I can definitely see how it is more than possible with just how much clutter is lying around the wasteland. I imagine it can be taken even further when you blast through a bunch of dungeons with the Them's Good Eating perk and basically pick up everything in sight.

I'm gonna take it a step further, making it a "kill everything" run as well. (Well, that part is after I do all the quests of course.) I am hoping that my 5 million goal will be achieved after all this but we'll see, lol.

  11. Now I think about it I probably had well over a million

Well there's a new goal for me!

Currently i'm at 45k, but that's after spending 20k on the SPECIAL stat implants. I'm still at an early point in the playthrough and I don't have the two big money-making perks (Jury Rigging and Them's Good Eating). I imagine that after getting those perks I'll start to get ridiculous caps - I guess I am setting the new goal at 5 million. Let's see if that is way too crazy of a goal or not, lol.

  12. Ah of course, the casinos

I think that's pretty much another guaranteed 50k or so overall! That also reminded me of the Sierra Madre vault - I definitely have to make sure I get out with as many gold bars as possible!! (though I won't do anything cheaty - I'll make sure I leave the vault without being overencumbered).

I will be updating this thread with how many caps I manage to get at various points in the playthrough. My personal end-goal is at least one million but let's see if I can surpass that!

  13. Hey everyone, I'm currently doing a "Caps Maniac" playthrough where I basically try to get as many caps as humanly possible. I'm using a combo of mods to help make this more feasible, like my own "Light Clutter" mod as well as plenty of mods that add dungeons, interiors, etc. to the game for me to get more loot from. It's also going to be a super evil playthrough as I basically ransack the entire wasteland of everything that isn't nailed down.

Currently, very early on in the playthrough, I have already gotten 30k caps which i'm gonna end up spending on most of the implants at the NV medical clinic. I'm also aware of three massively important perks which I need to get ASAP - the survival one that adds the high value food drops and the two carry-weight boosters.

Any tips for me on my quest to get a stupidly massive pile of bottlecaps? Also, what is the most caps you have had at one point in your own playthroughs?

Update: Here's my current stack of caps. Nellis is a huge treasure trove. It's been a super pain hopping between merchants to sell all this stuff lol.

  14. Cool, feedback from Dubious!! Sorry I didn't see your post earlier, I managed to forget about this thread, lol.

My mods are essentially just meant to be fun content for people to blast their way through. I added plenty of story/flavor elements, but they are definitely like you said, "slay the monsters and grab the loot", which I know doesn't appeal to everybody, especially those who are super serious about role-playing. I'll consider updating the descriptions, if I can think of a better way to convey what they are about/make them seem more appealing.

Thanks for taking the time to give me this feedback and again sorry I didn't reply earlier! It's also super cool that you are considering playing some of them :D If you do, then I hope you have fun!

  15. Your mod is so criminally under-appreciated. It needs to be known more! It's like the ultimate hidden gem in Fallout New Vegas mod list in Nexus. I was pleasantly surprised with how well made it was considering you didn't get paid doing it.

Balance wise? It's in the same difficulty as The Better Angels mod from Nexus which is considered to be top 3 hardest mods out there. But since I min-max a lot and really know the game, I thought it could have been a lot harder. I mean for experienced players, I think this mod would be a a really nice challenge. But for hardcore min-maxers, I've never really found any mods that truly challenged me. I mean I can kill 2 Gojiras and not die so the mod has to be uber hard to challenge me and that would turn a lot of people off. So yeah, I think the mod is one of the hardest ones out there and would prove a challenge to an experienced player but may be a tad bit easy for the small % of hardcore min-maxers.

Fun? Hell yes! Arena type dungeons and just blasting your enemies away feeling like a God! It's a nice feeeling. The good thing about this mod is all about action, action, action! It's very nice to just blow stuff up. Most of the dungeons are very immersive as well and you can really feel that you are inside them. The dungeons are just not cookie cutter ones, they are well made!

Is it lacking in features? I think simplicity is the strong feature of this mod, you can just play it and not have to care about anything. If you just wanna blow stuff up, this is the mod for you! If you want a challege, this is the mod for you! One feature I would like implementedd would be the gauntlet bosses respawning so we can have a bit of replayability if we just wanna kill things. Also, I would like optional extra uber hard bosses but that has already been addressed in mighty Dungeons 3.

I was very satisfied with this mod and good job random 411!

ps. I just realized this was for wasteland bosses 2 and not might dungeons 2 lol. But I already wrote a lot so I'll post this anyway. This review is for Mighty Dungeons 2.

Well thanks for the review lol. It means a lot to me that you like Mighty Dungeons II so much! Totally thought this thread died off but I am glad you posted your review - the more feedback on my mods, the merrier!

  16. I've added the note to the function directly. It's already explained in the Globals entry but easily missable. From here out, however you want to handle it is grand.

    Here you are, random411:

Not sure how much of that stuff is mentioned in Dubious's guide but it's all stuff I wished I'd known much earlier once I found this page. Dubious, you may want to see what you can grab from there as well. It's a good guide. It does leave out some stuff but I can't remember what.

Thanks a bunch! Looks pretty tough but I am willing to learn so I can make a larger-scale mod!

  17. Well, there might not be much more that I can do, but if you provided a bit more info, then it might be help to those who can solve your problem for you.

    1. Is the base game/other DLC working fine, and you are just crashing when you try to go to Big MT? Or is it just crashing at the game startup because you installed OWB?

    2. Have you recently uninstalled/deactivated any mods in the middle of a playthrough? That can sometimes cause instability, especially if it was a script-heavy mod.

In that case, then it is most likely just an issue with your save game, and if you start a new game, OWB should work fine. It can be worth a test by starting a new game and running over to the crash site.

Unfortunately, that is the extent of my knowledge of how I can help. Sorry these forums move slowly. I hope you find a solution soon!

  18. It seems like the issue is that your load order is off. It is a very good idea to use LOOT if you (presumably) aren't already - it automatically sorts and fixes up your load order for you.

Hopefully that will fix it for you otherwise it might be something that someone else will have to help you with (sorry I can't be of any more use!).

  19. So I released "Wasteland Bosses II" and it has gotten a bunch of downloads which is super cool but I have doubts as to whether or not people are having fun with it. Your opinions will help so that I can possibly update it to make it better. Also, I want opinions for when I make another one, as I not only make the mods for my own entertainment, but to entertain you guys as well.

So basically, to anyone who has played it..

    • Did it seem well balanced?
    • Did you have fun with it?
    • Does it seem too basic or lacking in features?
    • Any other thoughts/concerns?

It's a big favor to ask, I know - a huge thanks to anyone who plays and replies!
