I'm trying to make a PreVis/PreCombined patch for a few mods i'd like to play with, i know this can be done in the creation kit, but do i need to do all three options, PreCombine Geometry for Current Cell, Generate Visibility for Current Cell and Generate Precombined Visibility for Current Cell? Is there an order they need to be generated in? Also do I need to wait for the cell to load everything in and if so how do i know when the cell is done loading it all in? It seems to keep loading everything in for a very long time in the layers window.

Anyone with modding experience know if I can make all keyboard keys work when I press them, and while using a gamepad? Is there a mod that can help me with this? How would I do it myself? I've been searching around google and messing with CustomControlMap.txt but any variation i try doesn't seem to work and messes with my gamepad.

Could this be possible? A mod tool or overlay that counts your kills, what type, basic monster, legendary, and keep track of what you've looted, misc junk what legendary gear?

Is it possible to make a script to run in the background that slowly moves a certain amount of items per day from one settlement to another like sanctuary, or maybe to a settlement of your choice, or maybe you can request those items at a workbench to be moved there the next day? As if they were moved through the supply line you make, and doesn't require any additional benches or intervention, and is done almost automatically. I love lore friendly mods and I play on survival and can't quick travel, a mod like this would make looting great since I tend to drop off items at the nearest settlement but might want those items later to distribute to my settlers. I know scrap is shared but things like food, water, aid, guns, armor and ammo etc doesn't get shared. If someone could make this or if it already exists I would be so happy.

I've looked around and can't find a mod that makes guards stronger, I feel like they die to easily and I would like to make them stronger and more useful. I'm not completely unfamiliar with the creation kit, but I could use some help/tips on making a mod that does this. Any help is appreciated :)

Geck not loading objects in render windows

I have the latest version of fallout new vegas and the geck, I have geck power up a fork, fallout script extender installed, after loading the geck and then loading an interior cell I get something like this in the render window, I even tried installing everything on another computer. does anyone know how to make the objects appear?

I've been having a problem with hearthfire to, it's possibly the dlc being buggy, I just found it to be the source of my ctd near falkreath, tried uninstalling all my mods first, then deactivated hearthfire and the ctd went away. Edit: you could try using the unofficial hearthfire patch, it didn't work for me but maybe it will for you. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25127

Is there a mod that lets you craft gems like diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and rubies onto bolts and or arrows and gives them a special enchantment? Like Sapphire tipped arrows will drain magica on your targets, rubies drain health, emeralds drain stanima, diamonds cause extra damage, if there is that would be a cool mod, and give more uses to gems.

Did you install unified hud last? Edit: sorry trying not to clutter up your post, but have you also used boss to sort your load order, and do you use NVSE? Also When you say "Mod Menu mod" do you mean MCM, mod configuration menu? Quoted from schlangster "Project Nevada comes with an integrated version of The Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) by Pelinor" He also suggests in his troubleshooting secotion again quoted from his words: "Problem: After I load a savegame, a message box tells me that Project Nevada wasn't properly installed. There are multiple things that could cause this: 1. Project Nevada wasn't properly installed :) If you did a manual install and forgot to follow step 3 in the guide above, this is what happens. To fix it, install Project Nevada properly as described in Section 3. 2. Archive Invalidation is not activated. The recommended way of activating it is using FOMM, and enabling it in the Tools menu. 3. You installed Project Nevada with an older version of FOMM. In this case it may happen that even though FOMM confirms a successful installation, some important changes were not made. So if your FOMM version is older than 0.13.21, upgrade it and re-install Project Nevada. 4. If this problem suddenly occurs when you were already running Project Nevada successfully, this means some other mod overwrote an interface file. With FOMM, this should be fixed by simply deactivating Project and then activating it again. When using multiple mods that add new elements to the HUD, we recommend the Unified HUD Project to resolve any potential problems. If you don't use FOMM, then this is where things will get complicated. First you have to find out which other mod causes the conflicts, then with that specific information you can ask for help in the comments." I would suggest number 2 and 4, deactivate and reactive, I use project nevada as well but without problems, I hope this helps to fix.

Best underrated mods?

People make mods for themselves, and they are not products lol, I don't see anyone selling anything. :P Most mods are wips or betas anyway and are constantly updated to be better. I understand your concern for not wanting to review something, give it a good score or whatever, only to find out something is wrong with it and then people are mad at you, so that would bad. So test them first check for ITM's and UDR's and wild or unintended edits so you know It's clean and a good mod, even some of the more popular mods can and do have dirty or wild edits. You plan to try these mods before you review them, don't you? -

NMM is a good program, I tried it, but would prefer to use FOMM, OBMM, Wrye Flash or Wrye Bash for my games for now. I look forward to a later release, if it works better then what I use now I will and I'm glad it works for 1.33 million people and they should keep using it. I will also check out the review, maybe I missed something. Was also just trying to help, I want to be more community active on nexus :) it seems like there's not much help here sometimes. -

It could be a problem with modding the hud, that has caused crashes for me, especially when I incorrectly changed the ini files. -
I think it could be something to do with fook2 and weapon mod kits, maybe they are conflicting with each other. I use weapon mod kits but not fook, you could see if that's the culprit, or you could try deactivating one at a time, the one's I think worth trying is Mart's Mutant Mod, WeaponModKits, fook2, and Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch. Hope that helps :)

I've only heard bad things about nexus mod manager, how it doesn't install mods properly, you might want to try running the game differently. Not to slander the nmm, but it's still very early in developement and has a lot of bugs. -

Get BOSS to help sort your load order, and a very good program that tells you what files get overwritten is wrye bash, but I would trying that out later, it's a more complicated mod manager to use. One mod I would reccomend is Realistic Leveling, no more micro managing to get the best character :) http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/13879
