  1. I can't stand using an FOV higher than 31o. I need to see the skin cells of that dragon over there so I can make sure that I miss every f*#@ing shot. Also, maybe it's just my imagination, but if my FOV goes any higher than 31o, I see this odd little stick poking out of my right eye. Could you check it for me?

  2. You know how dragons get blood spattered all over their models as they get injured? The texture that's used to apply this effect has always felt incredibly out of place on the dragon, and I'm quite certain that making the texture transparent (25% ~ 50% opacity) would improve the effect greatly.

  3. Hello and thank you, Nexus modders!

I've searched the Nexus quite thoroughly and have not come across any mods that modify Whirlwind Sprint to have the specific functionality I had hoped for when I first was introduced to it.

I had hoped to be able to use Whirlwind Sprint not just to move across land or water, but also to move up into the air, to dash directly where I would aim.

I found that, unfortunately, Whirlwind Sprint does not allow for vertical movement of any sort unless a collision forces it; the Dragonborn is, in practice, limited to horizontal movement with Whirlwind Sprint.

I would love to see a mod that altered the functionality of Whirlwind Sprint to allow the player to dash in the direction he is aiming, without the vanilla limitation of either staying grounded or jumping off a cliff.

There are several mods that offer similar functionality with custom spells, but I would like to be able to do this in a more lore-friendly manner.

  4. A good solution to your problem exists in a couple of different mods, but they tend to be part of larger overhaul-level projects. Here are some examples and alternatives.

Skyrim Perk Enhancements and Rebalanced Gameplay - This does not add an armor enchantment. However, in the reworked Alteration tree, you can unlock "Mage Armor." Your armor spell will last until you toggle it off, and if you are not wearing any armor, it quadruples the magnitude of the spell and allows your Alteration skill to gain experience as you take physical damage. Coupled with another perk that can increase the magnitude of fire-and-forget spells by up to 45% if you "charge up" the spell before casting, you will have no need for an armor enchantment. This is a great gameplay overhaul that is much more friendly with other mods than PerMa and SkyRe.

Wintermyst - Enchantments of Skyrim - The armor enchantment here isn't a flat armor buff. The enchantment grants armor that increases over ~1 minute as you spend time in combat. It is a great mod anyhow that works with just about everything. Some enchantments may seem overpowered or useless at first glance, but they are all pretty balanced due to the fact that your playstyle has to account for the enchantment for it to do any good. They can all be ridiculously powerful in rare, fringe circumstances, worthless in others, and may even cause you to get yourself killed trying to force a favorable situation.

Fortify Armor Rating Enchantment - This is the mod you are asking for, and it is definitely not overpowered. It doesn't add items to the leveled lists like Wintermyst, but you can either craft one of the items or add it via console commands.

  5. I have another idea for the enchantment that should be fairly straightforward and balanced.

"Deals 'X' damage, ignoring armor, based on the number of dragon souls the wielder has available."

Make X equal to 2.5~3 times the player's unspent dragon souls, put it on something as good as an elven blade, and you have yourself a perfectly balanced artifact, no matter your level or your playstyle.

I have always loved the idea of enchantments that scale with use, like the ones on the Runic War Axe and the Bow of the Stag Prince. I don't like the way that the BSP gave defensive boosts, though, and I hate the time limit on the RWA. This would be a perfect solution.

Unfortunately, I don't know CK that well. If someone could make the enchantment as a mod and post it on the Nexus, or maybe even put it on one of the existing swords made for this mod, I would be very grateful. All I ask, if anybody does make this work, is some credit for enchantment concept. :)
