Nexus Mods Profile

  1. Name: Mike Moronee Gender: Male Age: Probably in late 50s Race: No, I hate racing. Combat Style: Shooting the enemy with a highly uneffective .22 Revolver. Specialties: Tasteless fashion senses (Motorcycle helmet with a wasteland settler outfit) Weaknesses: Getting shot. Because getting shot kills you and makes you dead. Likes: Nuka-Cola. Dislikes: Willow. He actually shot her head off with a combat shotgun because she's an obnoxious *censored*. Wants: Nuka-Cola. Fears: Nothing, because Mike Moronee is a moron. Friendly Factions: Himself, NCR Enemy Factions: Legion Companions: ED-E, African-American Goodsprings Settler (until his death in a heroic skirmish at the Divide) Various robots Love interest?: Nuka-Cola. Parents: Some pricks. Early life: He did a lot useless stuff and huffed powdered Nuka-Cola. Teen years: Same as above. How did he/she become a courier?: He didn't, everyone is just too damn demented and thinks Mike is the courier. The courier actually died from the gunshot.
  2. I've usually gone for the NCR or Yes-Man ending, and I've realized that the NCR ending is best IMO. Sure, the independent path brings freedom but since the securitrons are deployed only in Strip, other towns may have hard time protecting themselves from potential raiders. A Viper Gunslinger or two shouldn't be a problem for a sheriff or a settlement where every person has a gun, but there will be eventually bigger raider groups with better weapons. NCR's troopers aren't exactly the best, but they're at least given a little more training than "hey take a gun, here's how to reload it" and ye olde Service Rifle is better than a crude single shotgun. Taxes are a *censored*, but jeez, things are fueled by money. And most towns see enough merchant traffic to cover it for most part (except Goodsprings, I think) Only thing I don't really like about NCR is their president and General Oliver. Tandi was a much better president than this jar-headed imperialistic douche. If it was possible ingame, I would throw that douche off the Hoover Dam and become the president myself.
  3. It's quite annoying how some LBGT characters in videogames tend to be just stereotypically flamboyant and annoying, but Arcade is a pretty good exception. Arcade's reason for existence isn't his orientation, he just subtly mentions it in a brief conversation. And after that, it's not really mentioned anymore. I'm not saying that ever videogame character should mention their orientation only subtly, be it straight or gay, but they shouldn't bring it over the top in an annoying way (Unless it's a more humorous sort of game)
  4. Yeah, adding all Fallout New Vegas related .exe files to my firewall's exceptions seemed to work.
  5. Charwo, I'm not implying that Fallout 3 fans are better at making pictures. I'm just questioning the lore-friendliness of the pink-haired spandex heroines who shoot lasers out of their tits.
  6. Okay, I don't really hate New Vegas but I'm starting to get creeped out by the Nexus fanbase, judging by the images uploaded by Nexus users. Pink-haired anime heroines in mint-condition ultra-futuristic spandex combat armors? What the hell? That doesn't definitely fit Fallout.
  7. Say, if I were to make a mod that requires few Fallout 3 models to work properly, would it be okay to include them with the mod or must I require the downloader to extract the required models from F3 BSAs?
  8. There's already Fallout Online 2238, but I guess playing New Vegas with a friend would be fun.
  9. Also, I like cleaning the room with a fully modded .45 Auto Tommy Gun.
  10. Ever heard people say that Fallout 3 has a better story? Yeah, go find your goddamn dad and then fight pure evil people, as opposed to "get a poker chip that somehow applies upgrades to a robot army, then choose which faction you want to side with and fight on Hoover Dam" Okay, both aren't very great but Fallout 3's story sounds much more mundane.
  11. @TrickyVein Yeah, admittedly NCR protection isn't the best. They spread too thin, like several NPCs say in New Vegas. They also need some really better leaders, instead of some dipshit General Wait-and-See. Of course, I would stay independent if I had decent army who would protect my town, and food and water is abundant enough.
  12. I started using mostly energy weapons and they're pretty nice. It's quite fun to melt enemies, and the ammo is convenient. Nothing beats shooting a legion troop's brains out with the Survivalist's Rifle, though. Heavy weapons are fun at times, too.
  13. I'd side with NCR. Sure, taxes suck, but NCR protection is mostly better than just some crude militia. Unless you live in a place that sees no traders, or can't produce anything that NCR could see as useful.
  14. Oh great, we can expect yet another post apocalyptic shooter. Another option is to hope that Bethesda learned something from Obsidian and Fallout 4 turns out to be at least somewhat like New Vegas. Or let's hope that Bethesda lets Obsidian finish Fallout 4 or make another fallout game at some point.
  15. By the way, who is the developer for Fallout 4? Obsidian or Bethesda? I'd really hope for Obsidian, since I don't want another post-apocalyptic shooter.
