  1. Unique reward, unique playable character (early psi op, alien, MEC, Van Doorn with unique perk combos), also rare or one off ingredients to manufacture single weapon upgrades or weapons/armour. 3 mission arcs, maybe missions that include a strategic choice - get this reward, but lose this region/reduce supplies, trigger dark event. Make use of low use maps (avenger defence, UFO raid). Generally hell yeah, l would be very interested in anything that interrupts repetition, particularly as people seem to be hankering for longer/more missions campaigns.
  2. I prefer this one, mainly due to the limitation on what you can put in them. Multiple extra slots gets runaway OP real quick and impossible to balance imho.
  3. Ha nice. Shame it's not compatible with armor stat customiser. I use that to implement armour not HP, along with "new armors". I remember that getting an additional slot for armor beyond the two was some holy grail thing, and now it seems like "oh did you still want that? Here it is" My mistake..it IS compatible. reading fail.
  4. His last post said something like "everyone thank Zyxpsilon, and the project was cancelled" (l paraphrase). It was immediately after Zyxpsilon's spiderman post, which was clearly piss taking imho. Lacking further posts from Zyxpsilon, I GUESS Zyxpsilon didn't like something about the mods but without him posting why he decided to have a pop, we can only speculate. Shame, l was looking forward to SHIVs, and deleting existing workshop mods is not what l expected for sure.
  5. Yeah that's what l meant. Guess you havent got an existing workshop item yet as l can't find you. Looking forward to seeing your work.
  6. Great, look forward to seeing it in the Steam Workshop. What's you steam id so l can follow you?
  7. @ bg if there is a non-highlander way to do this, l am suprised that someone like your good self hasn't already made a mod of this type. Esp given there doesn't appear to be anything in the workshop that increases slots outside of ones like ammo as weapon upgrade type mods.
  8. Also you are going to need some way of stopping people having two ammo's or two vests right? i.e. one in the new slot and one of the same in the original util slot?
  9. Normally it's the reverse but... can you upload this to Steam workshop please? Will mod added ammo and vests use these slots seamlessly or would they have to be declared in your mod beforehand?
  10. How are the slots implemented? I am guessing that it will break the grimy loot mod as this opens slots on armour already? IF you can add them as an exclusive additional slot without treading over existing slot mods then l would definitely use this mod, highlander or not.
  11. Regarding this and other future alien rescue missions.. Gate the mission itself behind a science project that requires X corpses of that unit like an autopsy. The project would be "MEC AI" or "Viper neurology" etc and in itself is implying that to communicate, condition, train, sequester (whatever!) an alien being requires a much deeper understanding of what makes them tick. Then you spend a load of intel and supplies to find a rogue or rebellious alien captive and rescue them via a mission. I suggest you only ever get to trigger ONE mission of each alien type and it should be super hard (l assume you have control over EASY/MODERATE/DIFFICULT in these triggered missions?) I mentioned in the steam thread that maybe it should also require a new facility room (xeno-habitat) for each alien type you recruit, but that's VERY punitive, so l am just putting it out there really. Buildable MEC's... I think this would work if you made the build pre-req a number of MEC corpses, some lovely alloy and it ended up being more of an self learning SHIV than a unique unit. But then why are you rescuing one? I don't think players should be able to get 1 of every critter in the game in one campaign. You can provide an unlocked version if that's what floats their pokemon? I like the idea of getting one or two max in a campaign, they should be unusual and unique. If l want to experience a campaign with a different set of beasts.. well that's replayability for you, and congrats for adding another reason to do a new campaign after beating the game. If l simply must 'collect them all' then l can use the unlocked version? Whatever you decide, it's very clever so well done to all involved.
