  1. i do use NMM, and i just found the option to toggle archive invalidation; what will that actually do? will it harm my files in any way? so, you're saying i should just find the files i downloaded for the mod and delete them manually from the data folder?

  3. i did not! how do i toggle archive invalidation? will that solve the issue or will i have to manually delete the files as well?
  4. Hey guys so i'm running a new character and switched mod lists, i was sure to disable a few texture packs for robot and securitron screens as i will not be seeing them as often and didn't want the strain on my pc; except minutes into my new game i realize that the textures still seem to be active. double checked my manager and load order, but theyre still there. Whats the solution? i assume this is still pulling on my pc?
  5. Hey all, i'm certain that this is a silly question, but i've been a decently long-time GECK modder in New Vegas, and recently decided to start a Fallout 3 playthrough. How do I switch the GECK to load and edit Fallout 3's files instead of New Vegas'?
  6. Hey guys, not sure if I should be posting this here or in the GECK modding forum, but I have messed with the GECK a decent amount in creating my own worldspaces, and adding nice touches to parts of NV I found lacking, but I haven't the slightest clue how to make myself a custom set of armor. I don't mean custom as in new meshes or a completely fabricated outfit, I really just want to splice together a few of my favorite resources from outfits, (ulysses duster, with some shoulder armor over top) and maybe edit the mesh on his duster so it doesn't flair out so much. How do I combine/recolor resources for things like that? Is it a feature in the GECK? Or another software. Do I need something like Photoshop if I intend to recolor a resource? Thanks!
  7. (sorry for the incompetency, i am not at all used to dealing with these kinds of issues) my geck is installed in the root folder, and my game is installed to wherever it installs by default. i have loaded and played with this mod before in the exact same location, i figured that i must have deleted something by accident when removing the enb files which cause my game to update and disable all my mods. nexus mod manager is what i used for most mods, and those work fine after just re-enabling them in the manager. the problem is with the one mod i have from the geck, which is directly in the data folder (where it defaulted to after saving in geck). here is a screenshot of the file inside my new vegas data folder file:///C:/Users/henry/Pictures/Screenshots/Screenshot%20(5).png
  8. I just tried renaming the file, I also earlier tried to just add a stool to a random cell of camp forlorn hope to test loading a newly created mod, but it still didn't appear in the data files at the launcher. Is this a problem with my geck? It is saved as a .esp file
  9. Alright, so I foolishly tried my hand at adding ENB's and other game enhancing mods which require installation outside of a mod manager. (please don't come at me talking about how simple it is, my computer is pretty trash as is, i'm lucky if I can run a few mods at all) And essentially gave up after realizing that my system probably was just better off without it. I must've fuxed with something in the data/mods folder though, because my game updated itself and uninstalled everything I had. I was worried about my save data and mods, but luckily the saves were kept and i could re-load all my mods, all but one. And that mod was an overhaul of the lucky 38 penthouse I made for my home, meaning it has all my valuable items from the entire campaign in a few chests that are now gone. No matter what I seem to do, I can't get the mod to appear for activation in the "data files" section of the New Vegas Launcher. Help!! I've placed it, removed it, copied it, and done everything I can think of. It's in the data folder, but my game just isn't registering it for some reason. [edit, the mods that were saved were through nexus, so i just uninstalled and reloaded them through the mod manager]
