In response to post #39384620. #39390810, #39439100, #39440610, #39616270 are all replies on the same post. Stealing an artifact from someone else's home and selling it under your name is theft. Saving an artifact from certain destruction and putting it in a museum is preservation. This is kind of like... tomb raiding, which is acceptable for historical and preservatorial purposes in my opinion. If the mod authors don't want to, for some reason, compromise in the face of armageddon and would rather see their work disappear, I'm sure they can have their mods removed from preservation if they just ask.

This looks like a great mod. So from what I've understood you must manually set up each weapon? That sounds like lots of work, do you figure it would be possible to make a script to keep your last weapon holstered when switching to a new one? Like if you're using a 10mm pistol and switch to a Hunting Rifle, the pistol stays on your leg. Then when switching back to the pistol the rifle stays on your back? This could of course cause some clipping when equipping things like Power Fists that are in hand when holstered, but that's no big issue. -

Well, someone made a radroach outfit, so if someone made a deathclaw outfit, you could make a NPC wearing it and give him the deathclaw voice files, but you'd have to do with one minigun, unless you made the dual one, and ofc the deathclaw armor. If i recall the radroach one was taken from a bigger pack of monster outfits from fallout 3, but i don't know if it has a deathclaw one. still it would need to be ported and such. -
So, I'm thinking of making a mall inspired by the one in Dead Rising 1. I was going to place it in freeside. The idea was there wasn't really anything like it in New Vegas, most stores we're small general stores and the biggest interiors we're probably the casinos. So, i can make the mall myself, but i don't want to make just another empty worldspace that the nexus is filled with, and i'd like some tips to make the NPC's and such. I'm familiar with building things in the geck, making doors, weapons and even simple NPC's. The main issue would probably be dialogue and triggers, if i make them anyway. The general NPC's like looters, freeside thugs and other hobos can be easily made, but it needs unique NPC's to be interesting. Maybe a vendor or two, a few boss fights, some unique unexpected encounter. What it would include is: -a general area with different shops etc. (the entrance area) -a movie theater. (scouted materials from the dlc start, when you tfc you're in a small movie room) -some sort of amusement park-ish place where i'd use the rollercoaster parts from primm and such. -another plaza-ish area (i have an idea of it but can't describe, a more "run down" place) So if anyone is interested in it, or could give tips on what parts in the geck are best for doing the areas, since i'm not a experienced modder. Suggestions are obviously welcome. Sorry for bad english, I'm European. :D

Well, the securitrons aren't humans, so you'd have to replace them with humans first. then add the stormtrooper armor into their inventory in the geck, and set their voice setting to what the securitrons say. To do this you must have the stormtrooper armors, since the famous Star Wars mod was removed from the nexus, people that don't have the mod can't do it. Even i could probably pull it off if i had the armors, just experiment with the geck, get familiar with moving objects first, then get familiar with editing things like weapons, armors or NPC's, it can be confusing but in the end it's probably the best and easiest mod making tool i know for any game ever.

So, I'm thinking of making a mall in freeside kind of like the one in Dead Rising 1, not as big of course but anyway. and of course make it fallout-ish. Would you be interested, what would you like to be included in the mod. Obviously some freeside thugs scavenging, possibly hobos living there and such. I've scouted the needed parts for the mall from the vanilla game, but if there's any good modders resources i'd be thankful if you pointed them out.

So, i've been playing the series Dead Rising from the first game in 2006, and i got the idea from that. Not the zombies, but the boss fights, or "psychopaths" as referred to in the game. If you're not familiar with them, it's like you get a vaque description that someone may be alive somewhere, but when you go there you find a psychopath who you can fight. The perfect example would be Adam The Clown, look him up. So i thought i could either start working on a mod like this, or create these kind of bosses for other people's mods if you're interested. I think it would be a nice addition because new vegas felt like it lacked boss fights. I mean, don't you feel like you want to just fight a behemoth sometime, one that's like 2 times bigger than usual? Yeah, to satisfy that feeling.

Crash on Fast Travel

yeah i have a different problem,but similar. so i have a shitload of mods, but this happened yesterday: i was traveling when suddenly all my mod items got "corrupted" they turned into exclamation marks in-game (they were already working correctly before) and i could not open the menu with esc, after 10 seconds the game crashed. now it seems to happen all the time, especially after fast travels. is there some mod incompability issue with this? -
