I ban Oblivionaddicted for reminding me there are a few of those I haven't seen yet. (And yes, every time they announced a new one, part of my brain wondered, "Is it rated arrr!?" )

A: If it is, does that mean The Gods Must Be Crazy? Q: That. ^

Out: A surprisingly happy werewolf, who'd been looking all over for that toy. Scary as he looks, he only wants to lick your face. And he knows his strength to avoid hurting you. In: A quite realistic styrofoam jack-o-lantern with a night light bulb inside it.

Better two minutes than zero minutes?

Hmm, do we raise it from the depths again?

Also, .nif stands for NetImmerse Format (or something like it), as it began as meshes for games using the NetImmerse game engine (e.g., Morrowind). NetImmerse later evolved into the Gamebryo engine (Oblivion, Fallout 3 & NV), which Bethesda later reworked into the Creation engine (Skyrim, Skyrim SE/AE, Fallout 4, Starfield). It has nothing to do with the Nexus directly -- other than the Nexus has always had mods for games that use .nif's.

Yah, I probably should've mentioned them broadening to include new games once they were successful with old games. And they still add older games from time to time, as rightsholders are tracked down for permission, and games get patched to run on modern computers or in modern emulators. (Their parent company CD Projekt started out by making official Polish localizations of other companies' games, before they launched CD Projekt Red to develop their own (especially the Witcher series), so they have a long history of patching games.)

Indeed. I own a lot of books, and legally I'm mostly free to do what I want with them -- write in them, re-bind them, chop them up to turn into art projects, etc. But I donβt own their content; I didn't write or illustrate them, nor have I bought the rights to that writing or illustration. So I'm mostly not allowed to copy them. And much like that historic house (which it pained me to read about), I wouldn't be surprised if conditional sales are possible here too -- like if I bought a historically valuable copy of a book, where a condition of the sale is that I sign a contract to keep it intact and preserved.

@RedHeadAngel Realistically, legal efforts against piracy tend to target distributors more than consumers. And even then it's pretty much impossible to completely stop it. That said, there are other risks that deterred some of us, like downloading a virus or a broken game, or having a troubled conscience.

Searching around, Shopee is an online store in a bunch of Southeast Asian countries. Maybe that person bought a cheap bootleg copy of the game from someone on it.

It's a game store kinda like Steam (owned by CD Projekt, the way Valve owns Steam), but everything on it is DRM-free. The name originally stood for Good Old Games, as its original mission was to make older games available legally again.

MO2 should warn you of missing masters too, in the right pane. Is it flagging anything with s? Yah, easy enough to make an MO2 profile with no mods loaded. (Myself, I have some "no mods" and "minimal mods" profiles I use for testing.)

Mod that tracks how many bullets your weapons has and shows it.

What game? You posted in a general forum and didn't say. It's possible your game has its own forum here in Game Communities, either at the top of any forum page (on desktop π₯) or in the β‘ menu > Browse (on mobile ). Hit Join Community on any game forums you want to post in. (Not all games have their own forums here, though.) -
In that vein, it'd be nice if every computer game eventually got a legitimate, reasonably-priced, DRM-free* or DRM-light** release. And depending on how the streaming service wars go, we might well see a resurgence in movie and TV piracy if getting some things legitimately is too expensive and difficult (have to subscribe to too many services to get what you want) or outright impossible (something isn't available at all, or is blocked to subscribers in your part of the world). * like on GOG ** like the Steam client's

How to turn off info in the upper left corner?

How do I make a main menu replacer?
AaronOfMpls replied to RedHeadAngel's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
It does. And one of the right-pane tabs can show exactly what files and folders the game (or utility program) you're launching will see in that virtual file system. And some mods have their own files in .bsa's -- usually [mod name].bsa, or sometimes split by file types like [mod name] - textures.bsa. -
Will Game File Verification on Steam Ruin Mods?
AaronOfMpls replied to Arpin282's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
@Arpin282 -- what they said. β If you're on an older version (1.5.97 or 1.6.640), there might still be a way to not update, via the "secret" console tab in the Steam client; search around for "downgrade" info here. But I've never done that (I'm on the current 1.6.1170), and I'm not sure if those methods still work. -
Yah, I saw that. Somebody got extra-banned that day.

I'm not sure offhand myself; it's been a while since I've played. Maybe someone in the FO3 forums here knows. Go to Game Communities (at the top of any forum page on desktop , or in the β‘ menu > Browse on mobile ), and look for Fallout 3. Click Join Community by it to post there.

Wasn't it always the "at" symbol -- e.g., "widget juice @ $5/L"?

Why are we @'ing people in here?

Aww... We did kinda forget about this for a while, didn't we. (I win for now. )

A: Not enough Toad the Wet Sprocket fans to sustain it. (The "Rock Notes" version, not the RL version.) Q: Who the heck thought "Kum & Go" was a good name for a convenience store?
-
Out: A well-dressed M'aiq in a playful mood. In: A werewolf's claw.
