  1. Right, I did assume Nifskope was just displaying textures for the sake of them being there, but thank you for confirming that! I'm using substance painter to texture the model, then taking them to GIMP and converting the exported images from png to dds using an add on. There are a bunch of sub-options but I read for the diffuse to use a certain option, but I'll try paint.net under your suggestion to see what happens. Cheers!
  2. You wouldn't happen to know the location of the PA skeleton through the B.A.E? It'd be a great help!
  3. Update: I just ran the .nif to bodyslide and it does also appear that the diffuse is a missing texture
  4. Hey there! I'm texturing my PA Torso and have just converted them into a BGSM file and put it in the game. However the normal (and specular?) appear on the model, but the diffuse appears as a missing texture, despite working in nifscope correctly and is definitely in the BGSM file, having gone through the whole process twice to make sure. I'll keep messing around with it until it appears properly and I'll let you know if I find a fix, but any assistance to anyone who knows what might've gone wrong will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
  5. Sorry, it's a torso piece! I'm creating my own power armour mod, past this all that's left to do is texture. I'll have a look into outfit studio and I'll just use another PA torso piece as reference. Thank you friend!
  6. Hi guys, Just finally got my mesh working in the game without crashing, textures aside it's shaping up quite well. However I have this problem with the co-ordinance when it's equipped? it's appearing in this weird location that just looks like the default location i just happened to model it in in Blender, but in nifscope I've already adjusted the co-ordinance to where it needs to be corresponding to other power armours in the game. The only thing I reckon it could be is that it's not mapped out to a skeleton, but I was always under the impression that the pieces of power armour were just mapped out to the location as to where they are on the the power armour frame, but if that's the case I'm lost as to how to do it. If anyone could lend a hand that'd be great help, Cheers!
  7. I've been looking into other power armour mod nif files to see how they've done it so if I have any other additional questions/problems I'll just update this thread, and dig around the forums to see if I can find out more about implementation. Thank you very much for putting me in the right direction though! edit: In terms of rigging, is there anything particular you need to do/is it necessary? I've seen some PA mods that will properly be rigged to the power armour when it's entered, and others where it'll just simply stretch out the mesh when the arms and back of the legs open. I know it's not really a massive concern for some but I'm just wondering if it's a simple process of just adding a seam where you want the armour to open, or working with the PA frame's animations.
  8. Hello! I'm on my way of creating my own power armour to put into Fallout 4, properly built around the frame taken from the game files. Now, I've looked at a few resources on how to properly implement and through trial and error I've only managed to show the model from the "inspect" menu. However it won't appear on the PA itself when equipped, it'll show the original model the power was based on - seeing that it was a copy paste of the T60 ID from the creation kit. I'm aware that there are two states of power armour of being both a furniture and an equipped object, but I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for when it comes editing the file itself. I'm using FO4edit to skim through the file but I'm wondering if I needed to extract more from the B.A.E, seeing what I'm assuming I didn't actually take the equipped model to begin with? - I also know its textures aren't correct, they're the original power armour textures, and that the co-ordinance for the inspection menu is off-center (I've fixed the latter already). any help or points in the right direction would be greatly appreciated! Cheers guys!
