  1. You misunderstand. The NMM only supports a limited number (and an even smaller number of types) of games. The devs evaluate what it would take to handle others as they have time (seldom) or when Dark0ne directs (even less often). Then, if easily done, they might find the time to do so.

Otherwise, as is the case for over 95% of all games for which there are mods on the Nexus, it's manual installations. Check the mod's Description for installation instructions.

you seem like you might know :) --> How do I add a Game to Nexus Mods, (that isn't there), but that I have MADE MODS for? (i'm looking to share, not download) - Also what is the possibility of creating a batch file that MODS a game

? (I'm thinking of using Unreal UnPak.exe or Gildors 'Umodel', and putting it in a zipped files that you decopmpress in your executable folder, then runa RunMe.bat batch that decompresses the Pak, Renames the Pak, then either replaces (or changes names) or files to 'mod the game' Could this be considered a MOD? Coud this be available for download on Nexus if I uploaded it? How would I add the game (not on here currently) ?

    THANK YOU!

  2. Hello! I mean for Skyrim Special Edition , I see a lot of info, 'what it is' 'what does it do' 'a brief history lesson' (?) All it says about how to use it, is that it has an: 'Easy-to-talk-to 'Magic-Man-Menu' WHAT IS THAT??!??!?!

here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4577/ I  Look at the page with fresh eyes like someone who has no idea about it, a new Sky Rim player,. would be as I am , CLUELESS about how to use a lighting mod,.. ? There is a section called: 'how to use' but it says NOTHING ABOUT 'how to use it'!!

    HOW TO USE:

The HELPER returns with corrected code! I always preferred the HELPER to MCM, personally, since the changes you'd make with him were visible immediately in-game. And so, without MCM in SSE, it seemed only reasonable to resurrect him and put him back into the service of helping you make the most wonderful Skyrim you can - without need of outside tools like RESHADE or ENB...

... and with ZERO performance loss."

WHO IS THIS 'HIM'?? WHAT???!?! Right?? Am I nuts here, or does that say nothing to a new user except it is inaccessible and unusable.. If I have to spend hours researching something for a GAME, (MCM? as opposed to "Helpers" and how it relates to 'lighting' with 'Reshade' and 'ENB'??) then I will put that energy towards making MY OWN games at NextWorldVR! Games should be fun,.. It's not fun to have to post questions like this about things that should be self explanatory! IT says something about a 'spell'

but I have never done that, you don't get spells early in the game! How would I automatically know how o even where to do all that? It should have steps by steps with real info, every Mod I have seen is just like this, 7 pages of 'info' but no real information...

UPDATE: i HAVE FIGURED OUT HOW TO ACCESS him (LITERALLY A PERSON THAT STOPOD THERE FOR SOME REASON WHILE i WENT THROUGH THE MENU :) but WHEN i WOULD CHOOSE A lIGHTING pRESET, nothnig changed in the scne (i COULD HAVE GUESSED THAT,.) OOOPS SORRY CASPS, To tired from fighting 'mods' that don't qwrk (for me at least) to retype,. :) Any help is appreciated, I am new to gaming, even though I have ANIMATED CHARACTERS for games for 25 years :)

  3. I found my 167th mod with ZERO INSTRUCTIONS OF ANY KIND in the description. Another way to say that: I have never once found a MOD with instructions! I have 45 mods running and no idea how to change anything! BUT This one I need to change because that's why I got it. Anyone know what cryptic, secret unknown info one needs to make this thing darken the scene?

THANKS!! Why do they NEVER GIVE SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE DESCRIPTION?? I can't spend my life reading 200 pages forums to get a single key command! !!

Seems I'm not speaking English or being clear about what I'm doing or trying to do

I'm just trying to learn how to do stuff like make armor suit the body meash I use eg: I was using UNP but just

found the body by Leito http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57749/?

Sure he's done the default armors etc but if I want the correct sizing for custom armors I have to learn to do that myself

so I did the tutorial by Nightasy, cept I load the XP32 skeleton, problem is I'm not sure of the details for example

Nightasy says load the Female_0.nif (shows a pic of the settings) and says check load skeleton, if I load Leitos body

the same way am I getting a skeleton or am I maybe better to load a skeleton.nif them load the body without load skeleton

    checked.

    What I'm doing is:

Load the XP32 Skeleton on a layer

Load the Body on a layer

Load the Armor I'm editing on a layer

remove the BS stuff and skin apply a smooth 2

move shape and edit the armor to where I need it

Apply a skinwrap (selecting Face Deformation, weight all verts)

Add body convert to skin (If it has a skirt load famers dress and select "blend to base mesh")

(I was not sure either for example if I needed to do that for each piece or just the skirt piece)

Add a BSDismemberSkin seclet all (drag select to select the whole item) use drop down to select

Skyrim MainBody and click Create to get out

Repeat for each item of armor, whem done select all and export as <name>_0.nif

Delete the _0 body, load the _1 Body and edit

This where I get totally unsure do I delete all the BSDismemberSkins and skin and redo the them,

or just edit under them without deleting anything, just move things, then export

There does not seem to be a tutorial that make this process really clear.

Things one maybe needs to know for example

Does the "import dialog" box (when Importing) when "Import Skeleton" is checked load the skeleton automagicly (when there is or is not, a skeleton.nif in the same folder) or is that skeleton in the body skin and BSDismemberSkin

Hopefully this is English enough for people to understand

All that rudeness, and you never thought t just TRY AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS? Import, if the Skeleton is there, then what is the answer? YES.. If it imports, then YES IT IMPORTS,.. English enough??

  5. I normally put stuff like meshes and textures and the .esp files into the data folder. But many mods are "fomods" these days, aren't they! Like "XP32 Maximum" skeletons, for example. They seem to have dozens of folders, and I have no idea where they all go. It's just confusing. Is there any place I can go to learn about fomods that's simple and straight forward? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello, THere is usually a Fomod at the top, then underneath there are 'individual' no FOMAD installs, that represent each of the Choices th FOMAD would offer in Mod Manager Proggie,..My idea, is to USE the FOMAD, BUT also download the 'no fomad' for the precise options or option combo you want, then for istance use the 4k txtures from the fomad and just the Information of what files to use from the non-fomad! The contents of the second zip file, will tell you, what files to use (and only use), from the FOMAD zip file.. Now to go see if that works :)

  6. So, is the SKYRIM entry the same 'MOD LIST' as FOR SKYRIM VR? I would just TRY ONE, but when it didn't work, I would not know whether it was not working because I have never Modded before , OR because it is for Skyrim not Skyrim VR (or any of a hundred other reasons I don't know about -until I do... :)

I am not even wanting to play as much as simply TRY it, research how to add Mod ability to our upcoming AAA+ Open Alien World VR game. We have Character Animators (myself included ) that worred in Hollywood for 20+ years. I worked at Activision, I most recently worked on Life of Pi, (and then spent the next 5 years working oon our ipcoming title) I had an Animated TV show on Playboy TV as Animation Supervisor... I am trying to bring perfection to the VR world (every item in our games is Grabbable, Functional, Destructable and Flammable (if remotely appropriate), you have a Body, lke in Sansar you can be 3rd person.. etc. Al controls are Real World, etc/

Also, I read this article about how VORTEX is the right software now, NOT Nexus Mod Manager, but when I got throughth te day long install and trying to understand what it was, I came to Nexusmods and right at the top it says to Install NMM!! I can't imagine that's bad advice!! Regardless, I can't get EITHER working, :( This is such an awesome 'Ready Player One' kinda place, I really want to understand and try it out :) Make Modding an option for OUR games, (though we Start and will Release with elaborate, high rez and beautiful Characters!)

Is there a DEFINITIVE guide that has updated info and clear steps?

    THANK YOU!!!
