Here's my general advice: 1. Play the game 2. Learn about dnd 5e (useful to know) 3. Learn how to install mods, play mods (and give feedback to the modders) 4. Check out Discord pinned tools (Norbytes lslib and ShinyHobo Multitool and Laughing Leaders BG3 Mod Manager). 5. Download mods from Nexus, unpak and see how they tick. 6. Unpak game files to see how they work (backup/ be careful) 7. Try a simple mod yourself, test until it works and ask for assistance. 8. There's likely something in game (or in a mod) that you can learn from 9. When satisfied upload to Nexus for others to enjoy (optional)
