Try this turn off "Save on travel' in game settings it seems to have fixed it for Me

If you don't want Vortex idling when you run your game, just stop it before you launch your game.

I am not so sure look at this got this from Diagnostic Data Viewer "VortexHttpAttempts": 2" I got this with Vortex closed and internet unplugged.

MS says "VortexHttpAttempts Number of attempts to contact Vortex".

This should not happen when an APP is not running, So I am a little concerned abort Vortex running an census/Spying on what you are playing and what mods are loaded and so on,

With out letting us know? Or it may be trying to check for updates, regardless of use it is using Internet bandwidth and cpu cycles. Still running in background.

[Nexus Mod Manager download servers extremely slow?]

 

 

Hello people! I thought I would add my two cents in here. Downloading through the Mod Manager can severely limit your download speeds. Youre much better off downloading through google chrome or something.

 

Not sure if this will give you any new info, But I have been using my web browser to DLD mods to a HDD then install through NMM This file is an example

(Remodeled Armor for CBBE Bodyslide and TBBP HDT) manual install 2min VS. NMM install 2+Hrs UnInstall takes longer I find that strange, So I believe that NMM has issues with large and or complex tree structure files.

All of the other smaller simple mods seem to install/uninstall fine.
