  1. As much as I am enjoying the game, particularly due to the unlocks of AI, unlimited aliens firing, graphics and Gotta Get Em All UFO mods; the moment I saw console attached to the title - I knew we were going to get a watered down version. The thing that amazes me, 20 years ago with pixel graphics, this game had impressive depth. Fast forward to gorgeous graphics, we get veneer worthy interactivity. Reminds me of some girls I've known. Based on what I have seen and enjoyed (thanks to all modders, small edits to large), I know we will see a lot of this back in the game due to very switched on members.
  2. I actually prefer the way the sectoids move in this pitch concept; the more animalistic manner presently degrades their creepiness too far for me - I like the gobllinesque manner the Pitch Sectoid skulks away. That and the use of original Xcom music +1 :)
  3. EarX, that hit the nail on the head for me - it does sound like Battle : LA. :D Have been listening to the tracks again (remastered originals) and "Debriefing" has an almost Vangelis vibe to it (think BladeRunner The Movie). - XC
  4. Lovely work bokauk, look forward to trying this out :) Sometimes I think I hear Wayne and Garth during the games' Extreme Close ups - Whoaaagh! - XC
  5. There is a CD produced by John Broomhall, remastering all the Classic Xcom : Ufo Defense tracks. Really superb work, I hope there may be a way to put them into Geoscape, Battle and so on overtop defaults. Bring back that classic sinister vibe rather than the more action movie pace currently. I like how Discogs categorises it as 'Ambient', something we associate with Cafe Del Mar haha. Xcom soundtrack definitely does not chill me out. - XC
