So the CK is just around the corner and people are getting all these new ideas for mods, so I thought I'd share my idea hoping someone wants the same. Basically it would be an Arena much like the one in Oblivion. It would probably look something like the first arena from the movie Gladiator, small and lively, with hanging rags for banners and a variety of pelts for tapestry. Something that would feel fitting in the world of Skyrim but similar in essence to Oblivion. This could be situated anywhere really, and made into an enterable zone for performance purposes, since there would be plenty of npc's there, scripted to cheer and applaud as the hero killed his opponents, and opponents themselves training in another area and performing other routines. As for the enemies, they would not be leveled, so if one should prove too much of a challenge, then the hero could always return when he's more skilled, OR even try his luck and if he's close to dying, yield and suffer a penalty of double the amount of money he bet on his victory for example. There's a lot of potencial for a mod like this, especially since there's so much NPC variety and so many custom sets of armor and weaponry around, that we could make all kinds of unique characters to battle in the arena, and, for example, make champions hailing from differents parts of Tamriel to compete, each wearing distinct armors from their region. So basically I thought this idea would be great before making new lands outside of skyrim or even complete overhauls, for the simple reason that those take a very long time to make, a lot of effort and plenty of updates. An Arena however, not only adds more quests but also adds more life to Skyrim, plus, it takes less time to make and since its a small zone in the game, it would probably be quicker and easier to fix. The textures are there, the armors and weapons are there, the CK is almost here, so this more than possible.
