  1. alonsomartinez, you just don't know any better. No offense. The difference is night and day. I would recommend using HGEC if you plan on making clothing and armor. As the poll suggests, a lot of people use it. Don't forget about DM, too. ^^
  2. It's kind of too late for that. All my skills are pretty much maxed out and I use a mod to hide the level-up icon. The difficulty is tweaked to perfection and I would like to simply enjoy the story and do quests and such. Something that prevents the level-up screen from happening at all seems like my only option at this point. It seems like it would be something fairly simple for a knowledgeable modder, which obviously I am not.
  3. As the title suggests, I am looking for a way to prevent me from leveling when I sleep. I would prefer to stay at the level I am at now (I don't really enjoy the high-level gameplay in oblivion as much) and am concerned about any quests or other extra content that might require me to sleep. Does anyone have any ideas?
  4. You can call it going downhill if you want. I call it the natural lifespan of a console gaming system. How long do you expect one to last? It's been 4 years, it makes sense that it might be slowing down. Of course there is Sony's habit of slow starts and strong finishes. Ps2 to this day is still the best selling system ever, probably because 10 years later, we still see new releases, and Ps3 has a lot of titles on the horizon. A rare exception, most consoles don't last half as long. In the end though, it's a good strategy if you can pull it off.
  5. Anyone like these games? Reception was definitely polarized, love it or hate it. I was among the former. These games are still my most favorite RPGs, and I have a lot of memories exploring the dark and brooding game worlds. I also appreciated the laid back, yet challenging gameplay and completely seamless game world. They were truly epic adventures. These are real RPGs: immersive and rewarding and it's a shame that there are no more in the works. They probably won't make any like this anymore, much to the relief of those who didn't like it. I am currently revisiting The Ancient City and loving it all over again. For those who have a Ps3 there is currently a game called Demon's Souls in the works, the "spiritual predecessor" to the King's Field series. Apparently it's due out in October... although judging by the trailer it predictably won't have a whole lot in common with the old games. Anyone care?
