  1. Thx, I'll look into Vivid Weather. Currently using the non-compatible Dark Skys. Just a bit of a distraction. There was a mod years ago to remove it in one of the Fallouts as a means of improving FPS
  2. I'm sure there must be a mod to remove the paper and trash blowing around. After 210 years it should be gone and I keeps distracting me from actual threats.
  3. Just right now setting up an XP / offline computer to play some of the games that don't play nicely with Win7. So happy to hear you will continue to support the old XP OS so those great games don't just fade into the mist. Great Jobs
  4. After poking with this for almost two hours, a passing comment clued me in that for XCOM:EW the proper location for all the changes was under the XEW directory! So, I was playing XCOM:EW and changing items for XCOM:EU, no wonder I couldn't get it to work! A bit of attention to detail and not making assumptions about what reader know, would have saved me (and probably others) time or lead them to just give up on this brilliant information. Comment is intended purely in a constructive manner and this is a great addition to the game and many thx.
  5. This is probably more my general computer ignorance than specifically Skyrim, but help still needed. When I set Skyrim to my monitor's native resolution of 1920x1080 and windowed, Skyrim comes up tiny - like 1/6th of my screen. How can I fix this so I have good resolution and a full sized window? UPDATE My error, fixed it.
  6. Strangely I can't find this information. I'm coming back to Skyrim after an absence and want to update all my favorite mods to the newest and bestest versions. However, I'm very confused about the correct method in NMM to do this. Should I: 1) "Deactiveate the selected mod" and then install the new version, or 2) Install the new mod and then select "Would you like to upgrade" - Yes, or 3) Install the new mod and then select "Would you like to upgrade" - No and then select "Yes to all" when asked if you want to "overwrite with this mod's files?" I seem to vaugely remember that the right answer is 3, but I'd really like to know for sure what to be doing.
  7. Huge Thx! We were exactly right, disabling FNIS (which I must have installed incorrectly) fixed the problem. :)
  8. Coming back to Skyrim after an absence and thought I'd try playing 3rd person for a change. I was startled to see my character body floating along with no bodily movement - is this the way it is supposed to be? Looks strange.
  9. YES! HIALGOBOOST GPU UPGRADE was exactly what I was looking for. Many thanks. A small thing but missing it was a constant irritant.
  10. The Riverside Lodge with Sauna by Lupus linked above is one of the best house mods I have ever seen. Clearly a lot of thought went into it. Highly recommended.
  11. In my last install of Skyrim + Nexus Mods I had a mod that as an afterthought had the ability to toggle your middle mouse button to flip your FOV 180*, This was not the point of the mod, just a little goody the mod author tacked on. Not I can't find it. Help please.
  12. Thanks, I think I was trying to spawn using a specific Reference ID rather than a Base Form ID for the type of object.
  13. I must be doing something completely wrong. All I want to do is spawn some items and then locate them using Feng Shui, but every time I try to spawn something I get a response of "Invalid Inventory Object". Here is what I'm doing: 1. ~ to enter console mode, then left clicking on the item I would like to spawn to get the item code, i.e. a Combat Shotgun comes up as ff001d23. 2. Then enter "player.additem ff001d23 1" 3. Then I get "Invalid Inventory Object" I suspect I'm doing something very basic wrong. Advise appreciated. And just to add to the weirdness, for me, I can spawn ammo OK. The item number for .308 ammo, according to several sources, is 0006b53c. If I drop the leading zeros, and only if I drop them, and use 6b53c I can get ammo. ARrrrrrgh.
  14. I'm pretty sure 22111 is wrong. Not only does it not work, but the format of the number is wrong.:( I've checked around looking for the console code, but so far nothing. Any ideas would be appreciated.
  15. Thx. I think it is probably bugged as I have tried it with several different kinds of empty bottles. I had not wanted to go to console codes if it was something I could actually do, but looks like it is off to tryout "player.additem 22111 1 ". :)
