  1. Unfortunately I have no idea what causes this; I can only recommend you to ask in the official support forum
  2. well the currently unused gets renamed to _copy. you have to rename the one you want to play to Skyrim (so, while playing you'd have the folders "Skyrim_skyrim" and "Skyrim" [=Enderal] ) same with the saves - name the one you want to use "saves", and the other...something else. SkyrimPrefs.ini and Skyrim.ini is the same. rereading I realise I was unclear before, sorry.
  3. you don't even need to copy around - I have two Skyrim folders under /common and rename them accordingly (Skyrim_enderal / Skyrim) same with the save folders and the two *.ini. :)
  4. did the mods completely vanish, were they deactivated (greyed out) or just unchecked? I think, I'd just ignore the "vanished" mods, until there's a problem. (if it works, it works, right?) but yeah, probably try reinstalling. I'll also recommend you to head over to the SureAI forum, where more people (with better english) are to help you :) also, for starters, here's one guide for using Enderal and Skyrim at the same time. there's another youtube tutorial (there are other guides too, my approach is also a different one) (I really want you to play Enderal :D )
  5. you could look into Requiem, if you haven't already. It's not exactly what you're desctibing, but close enough I think :)
  6. It's absolutely worth it  the modlist over there states HDT Physics as compatible though, so there seems to be some other problem with your game. I'd suggest you head over to the SureAI forum, there are more people to help you :)
  7. I did use that, and at first, I thought that was the mod that was causing it. Although I never had problems before with it. It was the first Mod I uninstalled. sidenote: as long as iHUD was active, the crosshair at least dissappeared, as soon as I used something else. (meaning, it only ... flickered?) but thank you for your input  Update, maybe something of that helps? - I tried reloading the language file (unsurprisingly, that did not help.) - setting the whole UI transparency to 100% helps - I very much would like to keep most of it though :/
  8. So, after years of peacefully playing Skyrim, I run into a problem that makes me actually write a forum post. Short description: Whenever I try to cast a Ranged Spell, that crosshair appears. Looking in the menu, it is of course turned off, as always. Only thing I can do, to get it to disappear, is to turn the corresponding option on and off again. Until I (see above) try to cast a Ranged Spell. Stuff I tried, not necessarily in that order: - eliminating Mods: I'm now on a completely fresh install (meaning, copy of one I had on an external drive. That counts, right?) - deleting Skyrim.ini (why not?) - verified the integrity of game cache (or whatever it's called. Several times) - tried modifying that option via .ini file. Joke's on me, "bCrosshairEnabled=0" means, it's already off, no? - googling. for some hours, and I didn't find anything even close to that problem. - also, the LOG-file ist completely unhelpful. Only some DLC related notes. Some more, longwinded info on when it occurred: (not sure how helpful, since it's now on a new vanilla save) Since months, I play (uneventful) with the same mods - including Requiem, which I now wanted to update to the latest version (1.8.2). The manual warned about a possibility for the included helper-tool (the reqtificator) in localized versions to not completely working correctly. Since even the provided update didn't work for me (I'm not alone in this), I changed my Skyrim to the English Version. (which worked for that problem) I then started a new game, and noticed that whole crosshair thing. Should the be there's anything I left out, I'll gladly provide any needed info. If anyone has any idea what I might try (apart from complete fresh install via Steam, that's for later), I'd be super thankful. Thanks a bunch for reading  I'm also sorry for any language-related mistakes, I'm no native speaker.
