the title says it all.

well its about that time again guys for me to come here and suggest another game and offer a bit of help if needed as the game does seem to be slightly buggy for some people but also to encourage people to mod the game as it does have tools available if any of you are familiar with the game from its original release then you know its a fine game worth atleast a replay there are a few mods out there but nothing super great what the game could do with is some texture based overhauls but other than that its got well enough gameplay to enjoy its even been talked about in recent years to be considered in having a sequal since bioware is going to be the one to handle all that you can look up info about it on youtube but whatever you decide to do just let me know your thoughts on the game perhaps your favorite aspect or even what you disliked about it and as always i'm eager to see what you guys have to say
-
this topic is about games you have long since loved and played to its fullfillment and would like to either see a remake of or an update of that game to current specs such as engine transferment graphical or mechanical enhancement or remastery you may also include sequals to games that have none or in the cases for games like Final fantasy where each game has a seperate story and cast of characters such as the idea of Morrowind 2 or morrowind updated to skyrim (i do not mean mods i mean an official release by the developers of the game in question)

i'd have to say darksouls 2 myself :P
-
i remember Dungeon siege 1 i played it when the online servers were still up and running its probably the best multiplayer experience i've ever had the sad truth is that the game went offline due to the developers going under the series got picked up by 2k games i think? the sequals are hardly good but the campaign/story is better no doubt but they lost the whole pvp elements and the reason dungeon siege 1 had such a great community was because of the ability to modify the game and edit characters to be so unique without all that the single player isnt that amazing its still better than a few other dungeon crawlers i've played but there are also better ones if i had to suggest a game thats sort of dungeon crawler mostly open world and has fun multiplayer and single player elements i'd go with torchlight 2 lots of mods and the games got a fun atmosphere :D
-
i think people just need to play the game first in order to see if they think its worth it yeah the games old and the chances of it getting a strong modding community are slim but the tools are there and there is still a chance wich is why i'm trying to push people in its direction its on the G2 engine and with some texture replacers possibly some sort of addition of new meshes we could get it to look almost brand new i mean look at morrowind the game is almost as ancient but people still mod it and people still play it so its not about the age so much as the initiative if people enjoy it they'll want more out of it wich is what mods provide now i'm not asking for prospective modders to rip it apart and put it back together although if someone wants to try i won't stop them but the game is great the only problem is that its got glitch problems and the likelyhood of this game still being supported by the creators is pretty much ziltch
-
even if the game is old its not lost its value but if a modding community does start here at the nexus i would suggest bug fixes most of all and then on to the fun bits
-
so i found a rpg that kind of reminds me of the old Star wars Knights of the old republic games and i thought i'd ask the powers that be here on the nexus to consider mod support for the game as i've looked on google and do know it is moddable and there are tools for it but sadly no real community behind it, it looks to be a very cool game and even if its only texture modding this game looks to have great potential the game Anachronox is on steam for 6.99 if anyone wants to take a look at it if you like it and agree there could be some fun to be had here with mods than please get back to me i'd love to hear everyones thoughts on this

"This sword, one of the rare dragon weapons, came from the tail of Seath the Scaleless, the pale white dragon who betrayed his own." "Seath is the grandfather of sorcery, and this sword is imbued with his magic, which shall be unleashed as a wave of moonlight." so does anyone else think that now that the bloodskaal blade is in skyrim that this mod is possible now? just recolor the effect from red to light blue and use a new mesh and texture for the sword itself a very detailed model of what the sword in dark souls looks like perhaps as a way to avoid getting into any trouble with copyrights you could perhaps change the name and the design a bit so that it uses a nordic inlay and has a more stalhrim crystal look this sword in the game is pretty much the only sword i know if atleast in the terms of large weaponry that mages can really use with any sort of effectiveness so perhaps switching it and making it a weapon for long range use against dragons for warriors who cant be bothered with magic is a good idea so with this i thought of the basic fantasy name "the Dragon slayer" perhaps translating it into the dragon language would be better but this is all i could come up with :P

LE hearthfire kids growing up and joinging the fight
Kuerva replied to ajah666's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
well really i would like to be able to train the kids to fight and have them follow you around teach them to use spells or archery or swordplay depending upon your own combat style that alone seems like you could make it more realistic so when the kids are grown they have the training and skill to fight so they could be a strong follower, perhaps with a realistic drawback, better fighting skills lower carrying capacity due to smaller size, as they level up with you that could be used as a way to make them grow up and eventually become a grown follower who will call you father/mother so when a child reaches level 25 they could turn into a teenager when they reach level 45 they become an adult or something along those lines -
LOL Doooo eeeet

Even more stuff to look at
-
so i was hoping some of you amazing armor modders out there would take a look at some of the concept art i've found lying around for GW2 and if you guys happened to get any inspiration out of it to make something similar to post here or let me know i have more so i'll have to make another post
-
you know another idea would be to create your own custom male skeleton model so that you can increase its muscle distribution/size by default it would be considerably more work but once its done you wouldnt have to even fiddle with any of your measurements in your character editing just do the face bit and you'd be good to go
-
i think it depends on the country though if your looking for a ninja mod go look through the japanese mod sites even if you don't find this mod your bound to find one you'll like :P

okay so i am well aware of ALOT of gun mods out there, but the thing is most of them use the crossbow animations so when firing these weapons they always look like they are shooting a bit off. since the skyrim mod kit has all the bits and pieces needed to make guns i knew it wouldnt be long after it came out that people would be attempting to make them, but what we need is a fix, to change how the weapons are aimed and handled now i'm all for the dwemer guns that even have the reload lever set exactly the way the crossbow string is pulled back but for those who have not seen them there are many MANY gun mods out there that need more mechanics and animations to really look good, since the models, textures and sounds are all out there what i was thinking was making an animation that centers the gun barrel a bit so it provides a very fallout style aiming system, and before you all say "ahh its too hard to make animations or "if you want guns go play fallout" well i've played them, ALL of them and i can tell you they are amazing, but i want to bust a cap in a dragons arse and not look like a moron while doing it, so someone anyone out there please tell me you can do this!
-
Lol not to get off topic but this somehow reminds me of the hulk mod for GTA4 xD but i do think skyrim could do for alot more body related mods for male characters as well as skin/hair and head meshes i'm aware of how amazing the female mods are for skyrim but in contrast to male mods theres really not alot for them
-
that actually doesnt matter anymore or so it seems, i've seen mods taken down or cease and desist ordered before they are even released due to third party content, its a shame but nobody seems to want to fight for the right to mod what they want anymore
-
i must admit those are both fine mods but the reason i wanted this mod made was because it is a specific sword one that was made in a very specific manner and had the Uthbert inlay on the blade now the models are there and if the proper permissions were asked for perhaps someone could make a standalone model with an hd 4k texture hook it to the skyforge inventory and done, i'd settle for that
-
pretty sure there is a few mods by hothtrooper44 that does stuff like this
-
lol i'd like to see my player be a hawk too, so i could drop bird poop on bandits xP
-
eh, the thing about importing models is that you need to have permission from the developers of the game, in this case capcom but dealing with these huge companies is a hassle :/
-
i like this idea o:
-
So i recently saw a documentary about a real viking sword called the Uthbert wich was considered the best sword of its time, made roughly around 800-1000 AD, there are various different grips and pommels and guards that were found on different uthbert swords but all of them carried an inlay with the name uthbert, and to help those of you who are interested in making a mod based on a real viking weapon i'll post a youtube link for the documentary that i saw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXbLyVpWsVM as well as some pictures found on google as examples these should give you some idea on what to model if nothing else, but the video would give you a lot more info on the sword and even a new modern made uthbert using techniques available in the time period of the originals so i encourage you to check it out if you really want to know as much as you can. to make this weapon even more believable in game i would like to suggest it be a skyforge weapon and craftable only
