  1. Hi, im unsure if this is the right thread. I have semi-proffessional audio recording equipment and want to offer my services as a voice actor to modders. Maybe this thread can be used as a register for people who offer the same? Will update with samples soon. Details: Male 30ish
  2. Thank you so much! You dont happen to know how this games cubemaps are named, right?^^
  3. I cannot install the toolset, but i wanted to extract the environment maps this game has. Any pointers?
  4. This Mod was wonderful! Simply astounding and marvelous. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25964 As i know that many of us rather play with mortal settlers (bethesda is too afraid of (negative) consequences in their latest games it seems) But giving them a fighting chance by upgrading their equiment gets so tedious and unrealistic (a community of "self aware" people in a dangerous wasteland are incapable of getting better gear? really?) once u got some settlements and some settlers. this mod was the absolute solution. So i beg of you, continue this work... even if the game is old... it would benefit many peole that love this game and mods like SimSettlements, of that i am sure. thanks for your time.
  5. Hiya all! I was wondering if it was possible to add in a new AI behavior to simulate NPCs actually shopping for new equipment. I know there are some AI packages and mods avaiable, but none have implemented anything like this so far (as far as i know) Most of the NPCs have jobs, so they could receive a regular small amount of gold, which, in turn they could use to buy better stuff for themselves, new clothing, better weapons, food, drinks etc. Plus, this would further randomize the inventory of merchants, as the other NPCs would buy and sell stuff. Thanks for reading, just an idea to solve an immersion problem i always had with Bethesda's AI simulation. EDIT: Just realized, this would be better in Mod requests. i am sorry, can someone move / delete this topic?
  6. Hey All! I was wondering if it was possible to assign alternate textures for armors. I mean same stats, same category, same levelled lists etc. just alternating/diverse styles. For example if i created an alternative texture for the leather armor, would it be possible to implement it in a way that the game assigns some instances of the armor with one style and the others with the other texture. I know this game is old, but it is my favourite and i may want to look into modding a new Complete Conversion and this is a question i have always had. My G.E.C.K. experience is very rusty right now, and i can remember something with alternative textures in the GECK without having to copy and reassign the .NIFS Thank you for your answers. Regards, Sac'
  7. Hello Modders and Modderettes, first of all everytime i play Skyrim and do some questlines or ultimately finish them i am utterly dissapointed that first of all, it went to fast, i mean the mages guild, really? Second, and foremost, where is that feeling i got when i did the Bluebrand-quest in Morrowind? Or what about the Visual progress my (and your) Outpost grew overtime in solstheim? Sorry now it gets clearer: My Idea is that quests you finish actually add something to the game-world, Take morthal, the burned down house is no longer needed, so it could be rebuild over time and some new NPC could live there. So Every major quest should somehow benefit or change the settlement, town, guild, thus adding immersion and making the world a little less static and unchanging. Actually i got the idea From the thieves guild and the Ragged Flagon. The changes could be random or in direct connection to questgivers, questlines etc. So tell me what ya think.
  8. @dangman4ever if everyone was happy with what there already is, nothing new would ever be created ;)
  9. well you are right. now that i think about it with your very true statements... aw pity but of course you are right... damn if only i could do this kind of modding but i have no time for it as i have a 6 days week. okay point taken idea burned... maybe i should write bethesda to make it better next time but thats pointless too... silly me :( pity but still if anyone has ideas how to make it possible please do not hesitate :) hope dies last
  10. Well then the groundstone basically is layed down we just need to go the green mile (huh huh... not funny) hmmm i thought about the trousers/boots/shoes problem and what if the trousers were short... lets say they ended just underneath the knee, and the rest down the leg was an armor addon thar can be overwritten by the boots or left untouched when worn with shoes? Well in the beginning clipping would be unevitable (is it written like that? im not a native-speaker sorry... im a kraut) but could you please give an opinion on my idea? is it immersive and beneficial or just a waste of time and effort for something only i am very interested in? And for funkyness of different footwear and clothing, all thrown together... in my opinion its more important in a postapokalyptiv world to wear protektive stuff than looking like a supermodel :D Edit: @necronom12 yes it would look odd to have all the pants suddently be tight around the feet... but i think it would be okay if they were taped together or banded... because if you step in a puddle of radioactive mud you dont want that stuff to go all the way up your leg :P
  11. Yes thats nice but only a tiny bit of what i was thinking :) Yeah clipping sucks... maybe the trousers had all to be altered to be covering the boots and the boots made thinner to disappear beneath the trousers. what do you think?
  12. In comparison to Oblivion or maybe even Morrowind... yes lets take Morrowind (some of you remember the single Pauldrons, one left one right... and the single boots or Gauntlets) FA3 and FA:NV suck big time don't you think? i mean what chance is there that in a postapokalyptic world where everithing is so Spare and Rare i always find complete Armors/outfits?! wouldn't it be great if you had to collect everything you find to make your armor the best, but using every part you find? so take any forsaken place as an example, lets say a police station... You open up a locker and find one single Boot that someone left there... you grab it because it looks somewhat more protektive than your sneaker you have from goodsprings. You look further into the station and find one leather part that looks really sturdy, you grab it and with a stapler and one pair of scissors you make the piece of leather morph into a simple but still protective bandage for your forearm... (Maybe taking advantage of that survival skills and perks of yours) So as i think you get where this is going... I Talk Modular clothing... bits and pieces and craftable little helpers to survive longer in the wastes.. Shirts, boots, trousers, gloves, pauldrons all that good stuff. Maybe even belts or bags that increase your Wheight limit a little This has two major Pros... -IMMERSION (And variation, too) -An oportunity to use all that Junk you see lying around And so on... (to be honest i cant think of any more than Immersion right now, so sorry) The cons are of course -Lots of creating and conversion -Much spend time But anyhow please let me know what you think of this and of course correct me if such an mod is already avaiable... and i do not mean that maiden thingy which is pretty cool in individualisation but not of so much use. And of course if anyone is inspired by my (not really) enthusiastic talk and willing to do the mod... i thank you in the name of all that is immersive and god damn awesome :) Sac'
  13. Sorry but i think you get it wrong... i did not mean to simply put zombies in fallout 3 (or NV) i meant creating a whole new game xD i know a little over the top but hey its just an idea. So i meant new story, new environment, new Npc, new apparel... in fact All new but some of the weapons :P
  14. As i watched the terrible resident evil: afterlife, an idea came to my mind... Fallout would be the perfect starter-kit for a complete new Zombie-Apocalypse-Survival (or short: ZAS) mod, i mean, wasteland, ruins, settlements and stuff pretty much fitting! what would you think about it? and i mean real zombies, not just swamp the CW with ghouls :P
