Hi there. I've been searching and somehow "following" new mods, in order to find one which make repairs of settlement objects automatic (that's the big mod), it would be like a furniture item which would require a settler and that one would repair damaged things automatically using resources on the workshop or requiring a recycling post to be active on that settlement or even electricity. For the smaller mods : 1- It would be great to have an indication of damaged items when entering a settlement, the best thing would be a quest marker i guess (another information would be great, which is how much juice is used by different generators) 2- A way to automatically collect settlement caps when entering there (or auto-add to inventory wherever the player is, via an option), it would require a settler to use a certain item in order to send us the caps when entering the settlement. Personally i never understood the recycling and caps-generating systems on F4, but when reading X Caps have been added to inventory with the sound effect, there it's clearer :D Hope these ideas are "tasty" and do-able, anyway, Thx for reading and hope to see these mods someday :smile:

@SuperSledgeNY : i'm not having stutters before freezes (quite sure about it, i play normally then *PUF* freeze). @PowderdToastMan : i tried fnv 4gb, but i don't use it because i have a 32bit operating system (gonna change soon to Win 7) so i thought it would be useless for now, but after what you said, i'm gonna re-use it... about bettergamepreformancev4, i had deadly stutters of death, lags, fps drops (call it whatever you want) without it, simple the game is UNPLAYABLE without it (never removed it since i started using it), btw thanks for the help and the configurator seems to be a good tool ^^ For information i restarted the game (removed some (a 'lil) mods) and actually i have no problems at all (except rarely a ctd...which would be fixed by fnv-4gb). again thnx all for the help :thumbsup:

yup that's it, i think i'm gonna replay the game with a new char, avoid overwriting savegames i hope i won't get this problem again... last questions : 1- is there a mod that create a new savegame every X minuts (i remember a mod in oblivion... but forgot its name) 2- in my old save (the buggy one) i used to open every metal crate and other boxes, even in exterior... so i wonder if avoid doing this would help preserve the cache and consequently avoid crashes and freezes. thank you very much GrindedStone for your support, kudos for you mate ^^

it seems to work... i mean when i started a new char i could play without freezes... after that i notcied 2 other things :D First is that my old quicksave game is 8 Mo the new one is 2 Mo i wonder if i can ... Purge the save (for exemple remove dead bodies or remove objects places .. things like that) Second, i noticed that the ...... dry grass bowls ( the western rolling dry grass ) are static in my old save (it's impossible to move them), perhaps it have something to do with world objects or havoc and cache ? (i rly dunno it's just suppositions) the question now is how to purge the game... like a reset of all world objects, perhaps it will get rid of freezes (i'm pretty sure that will fix all the problems, but is it possible ?) by the way i personally think that the funniest part of playing FNV is the mods, i really enjoy adding new mods everytime to get THE perfect game (in my opinion).. and i didn't added all the mods in 1 time. (i never had problems like this one in fallout 3, i could even reach the mod limit, after which, the game started to get buggy [missing textures and meshes ^^] and i never had freezes like theses) thx again Grinded for the tips :thumbsup:

i tweaked the game some time ago, but replaced the original files after seeing it wasn't working, then i tried your tweaks, i changed all the values you gave me in both files but as i said it didn't work... i'm gonna un-reinstall C++ & .NET but i'm not sure that's the problem 'cause i didn't change thouse since i started the game & if i remember well i didn't have freezes at the begining... perhaps it's the save, i'm gonna start a new char & see if i can play normally anyway thx for your help :thumbsup:

unfortunatly GrindedStone these tweaks didn't work... i still have random freezes :facepalm: thx anyway :biggrin: by the way i'm searching if there's a way to purge all the mods using FNVEdit and removing ALL records except the last used one (latest in load order)...i wonder if it's possible (perhaps it will fix the issue or at least lessen the stutters and other incomodities).

the three first points are interesting, so if i understand well i need to clean these mods (i'm gonna remove all conflicts and duplicated modification of one option)... i'll try this and see if it works (gonna take time :confused: ) thx GrindedStone

thx for the reply ak47b3ast. unfortunatly the NV Game Stabilizer is not available on this site and its author is banned i think, so i can't try it (i can't find it elsewhere), and the freezes happen ingame not in loading or menus (i'm not experiencing crashes .. well 1 or 2 in a loooooong period that's all).

:wallbash: i've tried all the fixes i could find... the game still freezes (with sound playing), and the only way to quit it is CTRL+ALT+DEL... i'm using the latest 'actual' version of FNV with many mods, sometimes i can play like 15-20 minuts before it freezes and sometimes i can't even reach 1 minut..... the problem is i don't remember i had these freezes when i started the game (i started the game WITH many mods, i installed new ones since and I UN-Loaded them... but still have freezes).. the freezes happen randomly, sometimes when i open a box, sometimes when exploring the mojave or when entering somewhere... i tried the default game configuration (with low setting)... not the solution, tried to change settings in fallout.ini like disable audio -dunno why i tried that :P- but it didn't work.. ah and i'm not sure if it can help but when i listen to a radio, when the freeze happens my radio freezes too, but not the other sounds including world radios.. Well i have many weapon mods (+ WME) and nearly all have their own weapon mod kits, so i wonder if it is possible to have a mod that can show the possible attacheable mod kits on any selected weapon (it would work like KHWeaponscanner for Fallout 3, this mods show all hidden weapons data, you mouse over a weapon & push a key to have information about the weapon).

FPS Knife Hotkey... it's in the files tab of grenade hotkey mod as an optionnal file. (i know it's been a month but who ever knows...)
