  1. Steam doesn't have a choice if ZeniMax/Bethesda decides to update the game they have to send the update through. If you're going to point fingers then point them in right direction. And it's Bethesda/ZeniMax that decides you need Steam if wasn't Steam it would be some other platform. Steam is just a distributor a store front so you can't actually take "ownership" of the game from them but either way that would be breaking the TOS and depending on where you live it can also fall under piracy. Not to mention considering what would need to be done in order to do that you would for all intent and purposes make your game un-moddable.
  2. i installed xp32 and all that it requires and still didn;t fix it  You misunderstood what he wrote mainly the last sentence. That any mod that listens to the OnObjectEquipped event and runs a lot of code will crash the game he only fixed it for XP32. It's up to the other mod authors to fix it on their end with there mods. In other words you got a mod that is listening to that event. But since you installed XP32 you better wait tell you're done with your current play through if you decide not to keep it as that's not a mod that can be removed or disabled mid-game wish you would've waited for clarification if you were unsure of what he meant. Unless you have Save to fall back to from before you installed XP32 and it's requirements but if you've already played 60 hours with it (unless I'm mis-understanding when you installed it) or you could just play around with it maybe you'll like it. As for me I only use it for the *cough* titty jiggles so I only have the bare minimum requirements or the General use requirements.
