its weird, the intro sequence plays with audio but after that the main menu has has no audio with the rest of the game

yes i have tried to use speaker but no dice

so i have had fallout 4 for a while now and out of the blue my audio is gone. i have tried running my directx 9.0c setup and vcredist from the _commonredist and nothing works any suggestions.
