It involves copying some files around, too, and the use of Bodyslide to stitch together a body shape you want... that's because the game goes looking for meshes and textures in ...\Fallout 4\Data\Meshes\actors\character\characterassets and ...\Fallout 4\Data\Textures\Actors\Character\basehumanfemale folders respectively while Unique Player makes the game go look in ...\Fallout 4\Data\Meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets (meshes) and \Fallout 4\Data\Textures\Actors\Character\playerhumanfemale (textures). Before anything you first need to copy the (2) 1st person files and (2) body & hands files from Data\meshes\actors\character\characterassets into the Data\meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets folder. Then -when using CBBE (which is recommended)- you need to get six files from CBBE (BaseFemaleHands_d.dds, BaseFemaleHands_n.dds, BaseFemaleHands_s.dds, femalebody_d.dds, femalebody_n.dds and femalebody_s.dds) into Data\textures\actors\character\PlayerHumanFemale. All you've got now is a Unique Player with a generic CBBE body and textures. Now you can open BodySlide to adapt a body to your liking and when done hit "Build" while holding down the "ctrl" key on your keyboard (if you don't, you'll build a new generic body which will be used by every female in the game as BodySlide will place that build's FemaleBody.nif file in the CharacterAssets folder. Holding down ctrl while building saves the .nif inside the BodySlide folder). Once done, you need to copy the new FemaleBody.nif from BodySlide to the Data\meshes\actors\character\PlayerCharacterAssets folder and you're done: you now have a Unique Body that is only used by your character... When wanting to add tattoos or some such, you need to download those manually and unpack in a separate folder. Then you can choose just the tattoo texture and copy that to the PlayerHumanFemale folder  This isn't very clear, do you think you can give a step-by-step to this? I'm insanely confused and I have no clue how I'm supposed to get this to work.
