Hi all I have SKSE and numerous mods requiring it installed and running fine in my game. However, the SKSE installer never created an SKSE folder in my Data directory. Googling has turned up numerous threads in which people in my situation are recommended to "create the folder and .ini file yourself". My problem is that I don't know how to do that without messing up my install. Please, imagine that I am a time traveller from the 60s with an inexplicable interest in modding videogames. The workings of MO and .esp files are like magic to me, and so far I've been surprised that everything works almost like a charm even though the SKSE folders that everyone takes for granted don't exist in my Skyrim directory, and reading what is out there on the topic it feels as though I am the only person on the internet for whom "create it yourself bro" isn't a terrifying and incomplete direction. If I just create an SKSE folder in the Data directory, it will be empty and useless. I don't know how to create an .ini file, and even if I did it would also be empty and I'm worried that that'd mess up my SKSE install. I have plenty of plugins that use SKSE that seem to be running fine, and I don't know how to integrate them into a Plugins directory that, again, I apparently need to create myself. If there is any benefit to having this folder (fewer crashes or better SKSE/plugin performance, whatever) I would like to have it. If someone would hold my hand through creating it, I would be more than grateful and probably wiser for it. Help me Obi Nexus Forums, you're my only hope... EDIT: I just realised the ShowRaceMenu Precache Killer comes with an SKSE folder witha Plugins folder inside and, within that, .dll file. I have installed this via MO and have seen no problems, so again I don't want to play with fire, but if I just copy this folder into my Data directory will that take care of all my problems?
