Ripping as in 3D ripping, ripping the model and importing into your 3D application.
I was looking around and i didnt find anything on it.
Is there by any chance a mod that can put the Players character or an NPC in a T-Pose?
Its for ripping purposes. It would be a time saver if i could somehow get my character or an npc in a T-Pose. Ive heard of mods doing it via bugs, but i wouldnt know how to reproduce it.
Any help would be much appreciated.
The T-Pose has to be done IN-GAME, not nifskope or whatever its called. Id do it myself but i dont use 3ds max so i lack the ability to actually do a mod like this myself.
What do you mean ripping purposes?

It is surprising there aren't any tutorials on the subject. If I figure it out I'll post a tutorial on my Skyrim modding site.
I feel theres a lot of "i figured it out but i wont bother posting a tutorial" when it comes to some of the more advanced mods. Not that theres anything wrong with it, your choice what to do. I am suprised though, you'd think skyrim modding would come with a huge amount of tutorials. Sadly all i find are kind of half-assed tutorials or some with heavy foreign accents that make it hard to understand. None touch on this particular subject.
Oh well, i guess its up to trial and error.

Great.
What about changing a models appearance? I know i figured this out years ago but i cant seem to remember. For instance a skeever, if i wanted to change the model of the skeever to a custom model (one i modeled in an external modeling program) but have it keep its behavior when i import it back in. Basically if i wanted the skeever to look like a dog, id extract the skeever model and model it to look like a dog, texture it, then re-import. Im assuming it would go something like that?Would you be able to point me in the right direction for that? All i keep finding are armor / weapon tutorials.
You could look at the vanilla ones, like the Old Orc or the Redguard woman. They might be Story Manager quests, but I'm not sure. I'll check if I have time.

After googling around, all find are random encounter mods but no random encounter tutorials.
Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction? It would be much appreciated.
Just to be clear, by random encounters i mean X has a random chance to spawn at Y location. If possible, at Day or Night (im assuming it would be by game time).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well, if you haven't changed anything between XP and 7, do you run it through Steam and is it fully updated? Have you verified the file cache? Do you have the latest graphics drivers? The more info you give beforehand, the more help we can give you. ;)
Like i said all i did was reformat from xp to windows 7. When you reformat you pretty much need to download everything all over again like my video card drivers (otherwise i cant use it) and steam + skyrim.
Thought it wouldve been obvious my bad.

An old computer of mine used to run skyrim on windows xp pretty much fine except for lag in combat intense areas.
Reformatted it to windows 7 32bit, same mods and same settings, and for some reason objects in dungeons go missing with the only other case being dragon bodies (the skeleton they leave behind).
Im hoping i dont have to reformat back to windows xp just to get it working correctly again so instead i thought id ask here.
- Typical scenario: I find object on the table, object flickers once or twice, as i interact with the object (kicking it around, moving it, etc) the flickering increases, object eventually stays transparent.
- I found posts saying that this is a problem for anti aliasing (ati) but my card is nvidia and ive disabled anti aliasing there and in skyrimprefs.
- This occurs with objects in dungeons like books, draugr tools, pots and pans, junk like that.
- This only happened outside of dungeons when fighting dragons, when they die and turn to skeletons, that skeleton turns transparent after a flicker.
By flicker i mean the object literally goes from there to completely invisible but still there as i can still target it. Ive noticed a semi bright light on the flicker as if they get really bright then turn invisible then back to normal. It could just be me seeing things as it happens quickly not sure.
Im hoping its just windows 7 uses more ram than windows xp, and if thats the case then ive already ordered ram.
windows 7
2.5 GB ram
pentium 4 3.80 GHz
nvidia geforce 8600 gt
yes yes i know its old, its an extra computer and it did run skyrim previously on a windows xp install so it DID run. Also i did test it out with no mods / default ini's and a clean data folder, same effect so i dont think its mods.
anything?

If you want your script to affect practically all Draugr in the game then the easiest way would be to create a new Ability (of constant effect) with a Magic Effect of archetype "script", then put your script on the Magic Effect. Then add the new Ability to the Spell list on the Draugr Race form.
thank you, worked like a charm

I just want to add a papyrus script to all the draugr and i dont know what those actor templates dont allow it.
Pointing me in the right direction would be most appreciated.
You can't attach a script directly to an actor form if it is used in a leveled list.
But you can attach the script to the leveled list version of the actor. Those are the ones that begin with "LvlDraugr...".
Or, you can simply make a copy of the template. The copy won't be used in any leveled list, so it will allow you to attach a script :)
So if i were to add a papyrus script to "lvldraugr" would it count for all draugr or just those using "lvldraugr" ?
The last line confuses me, what template would i copy and how would it affect draugr in game?
sorry im just trying to wrap my head around this :wallbash:

My instinct when I first read your problem was that the Draugr had an actorbase, but looking at the screenshot it doesn't and seeing that the respawns box isn't the problem. Try adding a papyrus script to a new NPC to see if that's okay.
I can add papyrus scripts to the entries that have masterambushscript already in them.
I can add papyrus script to the E3 demo entries and tried it with a few random npcs like spiders and bears and i could
-
It might be because it is a respawning NPC. I've been able to add papyrus scripts to NPC's many times, but I think they have all been unique NPC's.
I checked and its definitely not cause of the re-spawn tick

So ive been messing around with draugr and I wanted to modify them with a papyrus script. Im new to CK so im not sure what i could do exactly but im assuming the "enc templates" are templates used by the other individual draugr actors?
I figure if i could add a papyrus script to those templates then maybe it would transfer over to the rest of the draugr so i dont have to go through them one by one (unless thats how its done).
I looked in DraugrRace and couldnt find anything there either to add a papyrus script to all the draugr. Im stumped. Been messing with this all day and i forgot that i could ask for help.
Below is the screen shot of one of the enc templates that have papyrus script box greyed out

I dont normally post if dont have an answer, but seeing as you said your new to modding I thought i would just chip in that trying to switch the model of a bear with that of a deer would be pretty advanced, Ive been modding for awhile and i only have a vague idea of how you might do that
Wow didnt think it was that advanced, thanks for putting it in perspective.

Im new to modding with skyrim and i learn best by trial and error but i cant seem to get this right so i figured i'd ask for help.
Basically im trying to figure out how one would replace a model with another like this mod:
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26468
I can only find tutorials on how to re-texture things or adding npcs / weapons but i cannot find any tutorial that teaches you how to replace a model with another.
In my case i want to change bears into deers. I want it to keep the behavior of the bear but have the model and movement of a deer.
What tutorials should i look at to get an understanding of that?
I currently have the creation kit, blender with nif plugin, and BSA browser if it matters.

Is there a mod that can put your character in a T-pose? (or npc's)
