  1. No, people who don`t partcipates on it can also decide what is or not fair compensation, doing anything about it is another thing, i can say what is fair or not it is my opinion, but i can,
  2. For me it would not, i cannot play oldrim with mods withouth ctds, i can play Skyrim SE with more than 140 mods and have no ctd, i will not play it withouth skse tho, so that is sad ;/ even on windowns 7 the game crash too much.
  3. Yeah you're right. But as many of us said before, its very likely that the more time passes, the less mods will get ported by their creators. That's not really what I meant. If they release it without all functions and data structures decoded many mods won't be able to be ported. Actually why don't I explain how SKSE works very briefly. SKSE's main components are skse_loader and the skse dll. The loader simply takes care of injecting the dll into the game's process and is actually really simple. All it does is create a new process with the executable of the game (which starts paused). It then finds the address of the LoadLibraryA function. Then it allocates some memory in the games address space (which it can do since it launched the process!) and manually writes a function call to LoadLibraryA("skse.dll") into that memory. Then it creates a thread (again in the games process) that starts in the memory it just allocated. Thus the thread runs and loads skse.dll and everything is good to go before the actual game thread starts up. The dll hooks into the game and does a bunch of stuff, the main thing modders notice are the new papyrus functions. These are exposed by hooking the function in the engine that registers all the normal papyrus functions and simply also registering the skse functions. This core functionality is probably done for skse64, after all it's only really a few functions that they need to find, and barring any really strange circumstances their hooking process will work fine for any function. The trouble is that in order to actually *implement* any new functionality SKSE needs to know the exact layout of the game's data in memory. If it gets this wrong then SKSE will end up reading and writing to random unrelated places in the game engine and anything could happen, including save corruption, erasing your disk, or causing nasal demons to erupt from your graphics card. There's a good chance that skyrim64 has added some functionality to the games internal objects, thus changing the order of any function pointers in them. Thus the SKSE team needs to run skyrim under a debugger, break on their hooked functions, and manually examine the game's objects to make sure SKSE's versions of those objects are correct. This involves creative debugging (adding breakpoints and making sure they get hit when expected) as well as actually looking at the code to make sure it more-or-less does what they expect. Now SKSE has MANY more thing exposed than F4SE does, so it's A LOT of work to update everything. Also as they are updating things they may find that an object is the same between both games, in which case they may decide to add that object to F4SE. So I don't think work on F4SE is mutually exclusive with work on SKSE64, but we have to recognize that the functionality we have in SKSE today is the result of years of reverse engineering work, and unless you want a version of SKSE64 that crashes all the time and corrupts your save in extremely "interesting" ways you need to be patient. Again I would love a little bounty board for verifying the layout of skyrim's objects! He never said, that is what he meant, what he said is, either way it sucks for us, because if more time passes less people will be play and less mods will come, your explanation is great but not really needed.
  4. Given the lack of updates on it since April, I think it's safe to say SKSE64 is completely dead. So, "It will be out when it will be out" just seems a little... wrong to me given all indications are it won't be out at all. Agreed, it won't be out, and that's why skyrim is also dead, atleast for me, it was fun while it last, never finished the game even tho i played it for years, thanks for the skse on oldrim, but if you guys were to stay silenced instead of giving a time of realease people wouldn't be complaining AS MUCH i think, but right now the state as things are i can easily say, you guys did a really bad job here on newrim XD, anyone is free to badmouth me, i know i'm not wrong , see you guys in a week.
  5. This, along with the so very many popular mods that have been ported with workarounds (like spells) to replace the MCM functionality, is why I now encourage folks to go ahead and play SE. Many mod authors have said (usually in their pinned posts at their mod page) that they will re-tweak their ported mods once SKSE becomes available for SE. This means you can have your cake and eat it too. Go ahead and enjoy the stability of SE now and then switch over after SKSE has been released and the majority of your favorite mods have been tweaked to get rid of the workarounds and use SKSE instead. The only problem I foresee is that replacing the mods with the updated ones will probably break saves. So you will most likely have to start a new game. Chances are that you would finish one playthrough before SKSE64 is released, and then mods are retweaked for that. So yes, people should be playing SSE now, without waiting for SKSE64. Most good mods are now available for SSE. And a truckload of them together don't cause stuttering or CTDs like oldrim. That itself is sufficient to warrant SSE sans SKSE64. Not really, also people already made one playthrough. and that is on Oldrim, also,i don't play the game withouth some mods, and there are some mods that actually NEED skse. which means i cannot play the game, btw, the search bar on skyui 2.2 does not work, which is a really bother when you have a ton of mods, also, the icons are really bad and the icon mod that some people are using is also really bad in my opinion XD, so no, the game is not playable withouth skse once you play with it, and no, you cannot achieve the same results as Requiem for instance which i do not like, but you cannot achieve the same results with ''various mods'', something will ALWAYS be missing, i am one of those who got boring of the game and waiting for skse and by the time it gets here i will not be the only one, i used to check this foru, 5 times a day, now i check once a week.
  6. Amen!! There are 12312312 comments like yours, its becoming a spam already XD
  7. Your comment about that doesn`t help either, people will complain anyway, it being free or not, your comment won`t change that, so you may as well just ignore, cuz it won`t stop, so give up.
  8. It is fine by everyonne, even for impatient people, as it is free, and being impatient isn`t really a bad thing, atleast it is for me a quality i have :)
  9. Your comment has being commented here like 10x already.
  10. No, we are not having ``doubts``, if you properly read the comments you will see that we were talking normaly and we never said they ``should do this or that``, all i said was, `` They could lose 5 minutes and say where the job stands`` that`s all, after that came people saying that ``we shouldn`t ask for anything because it is wrong`` btw, i have reasons to start ``questioning`` actually one, Mid March has passed, i have no right to be an a**hole or anything, i have all the right and reason to ask for info, as i stated before, they also have all the reason to ignore as they are doing, its their right, but it doesn`t matter if it is free or not, i can come here and say, ``What is left to do in the project guys?`` or ``how much time is still needed?``. I`m not doing anything wrong in that part and if you get upset because someone is making an normal and polite question, then you shouldn`t be on the internet at all, it is a simple question. Btw they aren`t mad with me asking question, or saying what is right or what is wrong, they are simply ignoring. Again, just so we can stop talking about this, i will question, i will ask for info, its my right, you can ignore me if you don`t like me asking questions, you should actually ignore me, but i won`t stop, so you may as well just stop replying to me and move on, you think i`m wrong? Cool, i won`t stop anyway. because i`m simply not doing anything wrong, or breaking any rules, i`m not offending anyone, done, i won`t reply to any other comment about this, and will ignore, i know i`m right and i`m not doing anything wrong so i`m fine here, going to sleep here, too late already. Actually, i will just stop coming here, will stick to reddit for updates as it seems people there are less ``senstitive``, cuz here it looks like i`m talking a lot of bad things of peoples idols and they start to be upset and fight about it even when they are wrong, good life to you folks.
  11. No, asking is not wrong, how you ask can be perceived as churlish, or in bad form  Manners are important and allow for those mod authors to know you are not being an entitled mod user. And i have never asked in a bad manner, NEVER, so his comment still doesn`t apply for me and for the guy you last replied to. And when asking you are not helping at all, no mater how nice you ask. Only fulfils your needs, not the team or the community. What the team needs, is time to do what they do, and love from us. What ever info that comes out from the project will reach everybody in a different way. Most of us will smile and say "thank you for the update", but a few will twist it and spin it out of proportion. And those few make a lot of noise and chaos and doesn't help at all. So all in all, its better to let us in the dark... Sad the world has come to this, but that is the pain about personal free will and internet. The only one who gets to say what the team needs its themselfs, are you a part of the team? If you are not, then you can`t speak for them, also, if i wanted to help i would have said ``is there anything i can do to help?`` Or even donate, i haven`t done either, all i did was thanking them in the reddit post and say that i love their work, and of course it fulfil my needs, it is exacly why i asked in the first place, to feel a lit bit ansious, and it would do the same for a part of the community, so yes, it does help the community, also, as grc472 have said, your comment doesn`t help either, so when you are trying to act smart, you are doing the same you criticized me for doing, the irony. Also people will use this ``no info`` the same way you said they would if they would give us info, if you give info, people will say bad things, if you don`t give infos, they will do the same, so, there`s no logic in that part of your comment and doesn`t really aplies here. I will say this just to be clear, if you don`t like me asking for info, that`s fine, its your opinion, but know, that i won`t stop asking for info, just because you don`t like. if Behippo comes here and say, that he doesn`t like it, that would be another thing, i would stop, but you are a random person like me, so it doesn`t matter what you think about it.

  13. It does not matter if it is free or not, i have all the right to ask for info, to know where the job stands, the same way they have all the right to just ignore me, i`m not demanding anything, i`m ``asking`` for info, your comment may be close to being churlish than mine. Questioning, and asking for info, is normal, it just means people are ansious about it, if anything it would make them happy to know that people really like their work, demanding things, that is being churlish, , when there`s an anime episode realease and it is still not subbed, i ask why for the people who makes the subs and they tell me why, Because there`s nothing wrong with asking, they may choose to answer or not, i`m not doing anything wrong.
  14. But taking like 5 minutes to say ``we are doing this, and this is all that is left`` wouldn`t hurt anyone and would actually calm people like me hehe.
