Something that would be cool would be spells with very long casting times, but almost negligible actual magicka costs. These could range from summoning permenant familiars, etc, similar to how D&D and Pathfinder handle ritual spells; usable by people without much magic but they take a long time to cast and have longer reaching, mostly utility effects. EXAMPLE: Bind Familiar: cast time: 15 seconds, Magicka cost 50, Skill level Apprentice - Permenantly bind an animal to your service, creates a ghostly duprlicate that will follow you until they die. Consumes a Soul Gem on cast

SSE Alternate Animations for different weapon types

We currently have Alternate Animations for rapiers, halberds, staves, and spears. Theoretically, it should also be possible to export this to 1 Handed weapons: Katanas Scimitars Shortswords Daggers All use the base One-Handed animation and could theoretically be differentiated to each use individual animations. 2 Handed Weapons: Longswords Currently use Greatsword animations and could possible use a faster, lighter animation style. -
Title is pretty self-explanatory; capes and cloaks that can be worn over armor, perhaps taking up an armor slot or something, preferrably with physics but frankly at this point I don't care too much. It just never made sense that people in this crapsack world wouldn't wear something to hide weapons/give cover from the elements/etc. A cloak is a highly useful thing in a ruined world.

I love the "Bound Weapon" spell. Its glorious. And I also like swords. I also like the mod "A Sword Accursed". However, I'm not looking for a sword in particular. What I'm looking for is a mod that lets you pick a sword, any sword, and designate it as a "bound" weapon. If you enchant it, it'll stay enchanted the next time you summon it. Etc. Basically just any old sword, except instead of sheathing it, you dismiss/summon it.

He's wearing what appears to be Hide armor over a tunic/sleeved shirt, along with Nordic Steel gauntlets, Scale boots, and Iron helm. He's wielding a Steel sword.

Just curious to see what mods people are running to make their games combat more interesting. Basic combat in vanilla skyrim isn't all that complicated, so I've got a few things up and running. Equipping Overhaul (with Realistic Unequip) SkyrimSouls - No menu pause (to prevent me from devouring 99 pounds of cheese in combat) PerMa - general stat and damage adjustment + more combat options Combat Evolved - minor NPC AI improvements TK Dodge - dodge rolllllll Dark Souls Quick Menu - to keep my hotkeys from being too crowded Mercy - Npcs who yell "I yield" actually run away and stop trying to kill you I'm sitting pretty at 253 plugins on my Skyrim installation and I'm just trying to think of anything else that could spice things up without making it too hard. Even now I often find myself getting 3shotted (and I'm wearing heavy armor and wielding a shield; shield has saved my life so many times).

I've been looking for a mod that can do this, but i've not found anything Would it be possible to remove the classic method of saving, but you now save by an item like a notepad that you keep and activate? It takes up one hour of time to record your thoughts in the notepad and save, and you obviously can't do it in combat or anything like that. It would work nicely alongside mods like Take Notes - Journal of the Dohvakiin by Lord Conti, Reflection by Chesko, and Classic Level Up by Saggitarius12. Not sure how feasable it would be, but it would be awesome for roleplayers and such. The Windpath player home has a similar feature where it saves by you sitting at a desk and writing into a journal. So I DO know its definitely doable but not sure how you'd implement the activator or item or whatever triggers it, since I have no idea how scripts or anything of the sort work (My only modding is a couple of personal weapon mods)

When I asked my brother, He told me that the only thing he's downloaded was the latest version of F4se, and that he didn't even download a real "mod" so to speak. When I went to check the F4se installation, everything seems to be in place without any wierd issues. I went to try to check on the plugins.txt file, but there seems to not be any file of this sort in AppData/Local. Indeed, the Local folder doesn't seem to appear AT ALL. Someone help, please. I usually just leave this stuff to Steam to deal with but my internet is pretty shitty at the moment so I can't just redownload everything...

I let my little brother log into my computer to play Fallout 4. Now, he's familiar with modding, even moreso than I am (he's modded his skyrim to 254 plugins, AND somehow it doesn't CTD. Somehow.). I've got a lot of mods on my Fallout 4, and everything was running smoothly, however he told me he installed a mod on my Fallout when I let him play it. When I later tried to play Fallout 4, the game crashed on startup. I can't locate what mod he's installed, and there don't seem to be any load order conflicts when I look at it. However, when I try to load LOOT to check my load order, it gives me a weird messege about AppData/Local/Fallout4/Plugins.txt being unwritable that I've never gotten before. My load order is posted below in hopes that someone can help me out. I like to use The Walking Dead mod along with Frost, since when you have a ghoul sprinting at high speeds shaking his head back and forth its near impossible to get off a headshot (FROST makes ghouls only take damage from a headshot, which usually 1 hit KO's them). Problem is, now they're a bit TOO slow, and really aren't a challenge in the small groups of 3 or 4 that they seem to only spawn in. I'd like a small standalone mod that edits the amount of ghoul spawns aboveground, if its possible.

I would like to second this. I used my Rebel outfit as a go-to armor set once i made it all the way to sanctuary and haven't looked back since, and I'd REALLY like to complete the look with the gas mask as well.
