How about REPLACING Khajiits with some Arab/Indian looking people and Argonians with Asians.

I prefer immersion and I want to feel like the character is me. So, I want the character to look like me as much as possible. I'm not planning on a sex change, so I'll stick to male characters.

Fallout is better. Skyrim has boring combat compared. And no, it's not because it is with melee weapons rather than guns. Mount and Blade managed to make melee combat fun, so why has no other game been able to?

Crossbows of the European Medieval variants were in use since the 1000's, long before the renaissance. The arquebus came in the renaissance era. Katanas can't even harm a man in chainmail beyond the blunt damage, let alone a man in full plate. Contemporary European knights would destroy isolated (not good for development of weapons technology) feudal Japan if it ever came to it. What a Japanese sword is good for is cutting down unarmored revolting peasants.

Iron sights on crossbows would be awesome, muskets next :)

It would be most interesting if you could place this town or village at a location of your choice.

I agree. Skyrim combat is boring compared. Better in rpg and graphics but horrible in combat.
