  1. Now it's the even more generic "What do you need? Bye/Later."

    My load order: https://imgur.com/a/hEmPWEw

Mods I've already tried disabling include:

    No Witnesses

    No Scope (and Loud Gun)

    Functional Post Game Ending

    BREEZE Male Body and Armors

Type 4 Female Body and Armors

    Character Expansions Revised

    Securitrons On Alert

    JIP Command and Control

    Better Ed-E Dialogue

    Personable Ed-E Dialogue

    Lone Courier's Dialogue

    Tell Dad About Jonas

UPDATE: I've disabled every ESP and ESM MO2 allows me to and tested it. Still the same. I'm at a loss.

  2. Lily, as all super mutants, can only use a handful of weapons due to animation constrains. Check the wiki to see if you have given her weapons she can actually use. Also, she can loose her companion weapons permanently if you go into a casino with her but this is fairly rare.

I have yet to enter any casinos let alone anywhere that requires weapons to be handed over with Lily. She's been unarmed since I first recruited her and I've made sure only to give her weapons I know Super Mutants can use. Firing and rehiring her doesn't work either, nor does rapidly telling her to switch between melee and ranged combat.

  3. Everything she's given goes unused and she's been fighting exclusively unarmed. Only place I could find where someone was having a similar issue is an eight year old Reddit thread, and it only offered a single, temporary solution. Said solution being use of the "equip" console command, but as soon as she switches weapons, it's back to unarmed. The only mods I have that might touch Lily's records in any way are JIP Companions Command and Control, Tale of Two Wastelands, and maybe a couple of dialogue mods (Wanderer Courier Soldier Spy and The Lone Courier's Dialogue).

  4. NPCs can fight among themselves just fine, but as soon as I join in, the game crashes.

It started after uninstalling Ragdolls TTW along with it's patches for Diagonal Movement and Player Headtracking, and it continues to crash the same way even after reinstalling them. I don't know how those mods would cause this, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

My mod list and load order.

EDIT: Nevermind, it was a Stewie's Tweaks thing that has since been fixed.

  5. It could possibly use a calculation that determines how much damage it does to the right arm similar to how Immersive Recoil 2.0 determines the amount of recoil weapons have.

Some weapons could be omitted like melee and unarmed weapons in order to promote their usage, or maybe only have the damage occur when a target is hit. I'd imagine the limb damage applied to the courier might be greater when using blunt weapons versus bladed, so the courier might want to stick with a bladed gauntlet a little longer before using a power fist.

When it comes to unarmed weapons that utilize both fists though, it could theoretically apply damage to either arm according to which fist is thrown, but I'm not sure if the game is capable of acknowledging this, since it might just be the fists' "firing" animation. Ever used Scribe Counter with a power fist? Doesn't make much sense considering the left fist does the attack, but the damage remains the same. Would be nice to see that animation mirrored somehow.

  6. I've been using Fallout Classic Fonts for a little bit because I love classic Fallout and I think it's signature font fit the Pip-boy perfectly, but it's still a pretty old mod and while totally usable, doesn't exactly fit DarNified UI as cleanly as I'd hope. HUD text is way bigger than the original DarNified fonts and the Pip-Boy's text seems to be misaligned in a few places (even more so in Vanilla if the mod page is anything to go by).

  7. Pretty sure that Tweaked Standing Idle is the culprit since it replaces the Power Armor Idle animation. I don't recommend using it anyways though because it breaks headtracking on NPCs. You can either use this fix, which doesn't fix the Power Armor Idle though. Or you can use the Better Posture mod which does the same thing but looks a little different and doesn't edit the Power Armor Idle.

Your first suggestion is the one I've been using, but I tried the other suggestion and it still seems to be an issue. The problem seems to persist without either of them as well.

I've made a temporary fix for now by duplicating the Mtidle.kf file and renaming it Pamtidle.kf so that they simply use the same animation, but it's led to some slight slipping with the hands in power armor.

Guess I'll just wait and see if the next TTW patch fixes it assuming it's that. I can't think of anything else that could be doing it now.

  8. I'm wanting to make a character utilizing the "player.setscale" console command, but I'm sure there might be a few instances where the game might try to revert it for one reason or another, so I figured a mod that tries to "enforce" certain console commands by not allowing them to be altered could be useful.

Maybe some kind of .ini file where you could enter something like "enableplayercontrols" so that all instances the game tries to remove them for cutscenes fail.

It'd work as a way to preload certain console commands so that all characters you make could by default be shorter, taller, in god mode, without collision, with all map markers, etc.

Haven't encountered that particular problem before, but it is most likely caused by a conflict with XML files. Please see the wiki "HUD-UI-Menu issues" article, which discusses the basic issues. You will likely have to pin down exactly which HUD-UI mod is causing the conflict before you can then identify the code causing it.

Kind of what I was afraid of, but I trust your judgement, so thanks. I'll have a look at the article and start narrowing down the perpetrator.

Went though all my UI mods one-by-one and still couldn't find the problem. I did eventually find it though, but it turned out to be Stewie's Tweaks for some reason. Not one of the options within Stewie's Tweaks, just the mod in general. Keeping the mod installed with all the options disabled still somehow messes up the key binds menu, and it's only fixed if I remove the whole mod. Odd stuff.

EDIT: According to the mod author, it's an incompatibility with DarNified UI. Guess I'll just be hoping for an eventual fix.

  11. Power Armor Scaling is a pretty old mod that does what it promises, but comes with some issues that can make it troublesome to use. Your courier is pretty much not allowed to have a height scale that isn't the default since unequipping power armor resets it to 1.00 and removing power armor from you inventory while it's equipped leaves you oddly huge.

Considering how much NV mods seem to have advanced in recent years, I was wondering if a modern take on this mod could be done a bit more seamlessly.

  12. Are you sure youâre using the XP part of my mod correctly? Iâve not had any other reports of it not working.

Your mod shuts up ui_popup_experienceup.wav just fine, but ui_popup_questnew.wav will still play on occasion. Mostly right after the last enemy in a fight is killed.

    figured it out

I'd like to know what you did if that'd be alright.

in the geck load up or save an esp and name it whatever i named mine "noxpSounds" under audio > sound > under the editor ID > UIPopUpExperienceUP is what i thought the sound was but if you go down 5 lines theirs an audio file called UIPopUpQuestComplete this is the xp sound that plays when you kill an enemy and sadly its also the same sound that plays when you discover a new location...if you double click it and slide the third slider called "static attenuation" all the way to the right so its at -100 it turns the sound off, i wish the new location xp sound was seperate from the combat xp sound, if theirs a way its beyond me hope this helps

Thanks a bunch, that did it I think. Hopefully someone will eventually make something where we can have one instance of the sound without the other.

EDIT: I think the entry is called UIPopUpQuestNew actually. It was right under the one you said though, so no big deal. I made my own ui_popup_questnew.wav that's just 3 seconds of silence and I'm thankfully not hearing it anymore. I'll still have to deal with that sound being silent elsewhere though of course, but it'll do for now.

EDIT EDIT: Made a new comment on accident instead of editing the old one because I have just the biggest brain.
