dionysist's Grass Pre-Cache for LOD mods are pre-generated grass cache for certain grass mods: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/users/32474590?tab=user+files So NGIO is not needed, assuming you only need NGIO to generate grass cache... It appears xLOD should be run first before TexGen, but not sure if it's a hard requirement.

Thanks for the help! Yeah not sure where the issue is but I'll keep poking around. Only using Cathedral Landscapes and other Cathedral environmental mods - but I am using Cathedral 3D Pine Grass and ENB Complex Grass for Pine Grass, maybe those are the culprits  Edit: just found this! https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/81824 Fingers crossed

Hmmm according to the Cathedral Landscapes Grass Pre-Cache mod page this mod takes the place of needing NGiO: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/78246 I noticed the mod page also says to run xLODGen, but I thought that wasn't necessary anymore with DynDOLOD 3? I've gone through the No Grass LOD checklist, not all of it makes sense but a few things for sure - CGID grass cache files are being generated, grass LOD billboards are being generated. I'm not sure where in the whole process something goes wrong or is missing...

Can't get grass LOD to work, what am I doing wrong? Installed Cathedral Landscapes Grass Pre-Cache because I'm on 1.6.353 Installed Grass Cache Fixes Set AllowLoadGrass=1 in Skyrim.ini as per Grass Cache Fixes Ran TexGen with HD Grass checked Ran DynDOLOD But no grass LOD  Anyone know what steps I'm missing?

Hey all In my last playthrough I had a mod that allowed you to enable/disable individual components of CC Survival Mode, so I could for example disable Hunger and Fatigue and just keep the Cold mechanics along with iNeed. Can't seem to find this mod on Nexus anymore, but I don't recall exactly what it was called. Anyone remember this mod and know where I could find it? :)

Disable Character Menu zoom effect?
chazzranger replied to chazzranger's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Thanks, I do have Racemenu installed but I think you're talking about something different. I mean the character menu that opens when you press Tab/B button to open the menu for Skills/Items/Magic/Map. Left Alt unfortunately does nothing to remove the zoom effect :( -
This glitch has bothered me since 2011, and when I point it out you won't be able to unhear it. Sorry. When an NPC is doing house repairs/hammering, and when your PC is using the Smithing workbench, the sound of the hammer hits is off by one hit - there's an early hit sound effect just when the animation starts, and the last animation hit is silent. Please for the love of Talos, can anyone fix this??

Is there a setting or mod that disables the little camera zoom that happens when you open the character menu in first person? It's especially annoying when exiting the menu as the camera zooms back out and 'pops' into place. Also when seated in first person and exiting the character menu, regardless of which direction you were facing when you opened the menu, it will pop back into the original seated position view when you exit the menu. So annoying, any mod that tackles these camera bugs? I'm currently using Improved Camera SE.

A long-standing Skyrim glitch, my NPC's eating animation almost always shows no food/tankard. Other than Animated Eating Redux, is there any mod/fix for this? Really don't want to deal with FNIS just for this one mod...

Thanks, the square texture fix didn't work with my previous ENB last playthrough, but using a different ENB this time so I'll give it a try again

We know vanilla blood effects look bad. So bad. But the EBT square blood decals bug look just as bad. I'm so tired of trying to fix it, as we all should be by now, but definitely not giving up my ENB to fix the issue. I'm currently using Just Blood which looks fantastic on bodies, and also Remove Blood to disable the comical looking hit splatters and screen blood. Mostly I want to remove blood on the ground, as my choice is either fugly vanilla blood or EBT square blood, but it appears when you disable ground blood decals, it also disables weapon blood decals. So - is there any way to disable ground blood while keeping weapon blood?

Any issues with straight deleting CC BSA/ESM's from the data folder? Will it mess anything up? I kinda want Fishing and Saints & Seducers the hell off my Skyrim

What's the current consensus on cleaning AE ESMs?
-
Opinions please! Got a new PC + ultrawide, wanted to start up Skyrim again, been away from Skyrim & modding for over a year. Find out about the AE upgrade and now faced with a choice. Roll back to SE proper and start building my mod list, or stick with AE (I won't purchase the upgrade, I already own the only Creation Club content I want) and wait for a few more mods to update? Does the AE update bring anything else to the table to make it worth not rolling back? Also, I have copies of cleaned plugins for 1.5.80. Can I just use them, or do I need to use the Unofficial Downgrade Patcher to properly downgrade? Thanks for any advice!

Tips for fresh game with stable modlist?
chazzranger replied to chazzranger's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
If you are confident that all your mods are stable, you can fire the game up with all of them active. Just make sure you are using Alternate Start Live Another Life so that you are in an area where you can just chill and let all those mods do their start up thing. If you are not going to use an alternate start mod but rather go through the opening Helgen sequence, only apply the mods needed to create your character. Everything else can probably be added to the game as early as getting your hands freed just inside Helgen Keep or just after exiting the Helgen cave. Thanks, exactly the answer I was hoping for! I have a clean unmodded save in the cave just before exiting Helgen into Skyrim. As long as I can just hang there and wait for the main mods to load up, that's perfect (some mods I prefer to add as I play, like when I hit certain levels or complete tasks that relate to the mod... adds bonus incentives to look forward to and adds more character-building) FWIW, after many many years of using NMM and MO2, I prefer Vortex :) -
About to start a fresh game with what appears to be a stable modlist. What's good protocol now for activating mods? If I'm confident it's stable, can I just fire up all the mods and go? Or will MCM explode? Only got 160 plugins. Using Vortex if it matters.

Hi all, can anyone help with instructions on how to remove CC backpacks from leveled lists, for someone with only basic xEdit knowledge  Tired of having 2 or 3 backpacks showing up in like a side table drawer lol I've read conflicting instruction i.e. some say just delete the list under Leveled Item, some say don't delete lists... Something obviously needs to be deleted to remove an item from leveled lists, but which line? Thanks

I'm creating a mod that changes ownership of Drelas' Cottage and all items within to Player Faction, so that after killing Drelas (hey, he attacked me first) the player can use the cottage as a home without everything being marked as stolen and followers can use furniture etc. However, even with the ownership changes, I still can't Sleep or Wait in the cottage because the game says I'm trespassing. Anyone know how to remove this? Do I need to wait for the cell to reset maybe, or is there a specific setting I've missed?

How safe to uninstall a mod that changes respawn time?
chazzranger replied to chazzranger's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Nice! Thanks for that  -
Yes, I know "iT'S nEVeR SaFE tO uNInSTaLL anY MOd EVAR", thanks. Skyrim has issues whether it's vanilla or modded, usually we ignore non-game-breaking issues and keep on playing. I'm only worried if removing this mod will actually break my game :) So how potentially damaging is it to uninstall a mod that changes respawn time? This type of mod doesn't rely on any scripts, correct? (specifically https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6235)

Smithing Workbench - hammer sfx fix?
chazzranger replied to chazzranger's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Sorry, now you'll never unhear it  Thx tho! -
Anyone know a mod or tweak that fixes the workbench hammer sfx? The audio is off by 1 hammer hit, i.e. starts early, ends early, the last visual hammer hit is silent. It's been annoying for a decade, is there a way to fix it?
