In BOSS, how do you change the default browser?
KlinkKlink replied to KlinkKlink's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Maybe I'm not phrasing this correctly... Google Chrome is my computer's default browser. What I want to change is the browser BOSS uses to show the BOSS log. Sorry for any confusion. -
So, I seem to have let BOSS grow too attached to Internet Explorer, and I can't seem to find an option in the settings menu to change the default browser to something more acceptable (i.e. Google Chrome). Who here knows how I can go about this? Thanks.

I have something of a predicament. You see, objects and actors that are indoors get this strange transparency when the camera is in juuust the right place. Observe: http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/5862707-1371206662.jpg If you look at the front of the bed, you can see a person and some barrels on the floor below. http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/5862707-1371206774.jpg You can see straight through Jennette, here. On top of all that, sunglare will pass straight through the scenery and I have no Idea why. Check it, yo: http://static.skyrim.nexusmods.com/images/5862707-1371222779.jpg Perhaps the the buildings and land forms are transparent, too. I don't know. What the heck is causing this madness!? Is it a bad mod? Bethesda's perpetual incompetence? If you know how to fix this, please say so. Thanks in advance, guys.

So, apparently ENB mods use some type of anti-aliasing. That's nice, but for some reason I'm not seeing it. My preset of choice is wolfstryder's very own Quietcool ENB. The first time I turned on the game with it, after the annotations I got this red text reading "Hardware AA detected. Quality reduced and some features turned off" or something along those lines. "Well, I'm not gonna settle for less quality," I declared to myself! So, after some time of monkeying around with the AA settings on the Skyrim launcher and my Nvidia Control Panel, I just turn it all off. I start the game again, and Hey! I don't see that red message! I rub my hands together in anticipation as my game loads, and when it finally finishes, sweet Zombie Jesus! Everything was so blocky and jagged, It was like Pablo friggin' Picasso was was Bethesda's concept artist. Am I doing something wrong, here? Is there some tinkering I forgot to do in the ENB files themselves? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to pick out a combat overhaul that can add some life to the otherwise dull and repetitive Elder Scrolls combat system. Care to share your favorite one? I'd like to know why you like it and what it contributes to the game. Thanks, guys!

Decent Alternatives to Nuska's Real Skin
KlinkKlink replied to KlinkKlink's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Oh, and I forgot to mention I'd like a texture that work for all races. I'd hate to have have the characters in the game look fine, but have the other half be these peculiar, pixelly Picassos. Shoulda mentioned earlier. Anyways, thanks, Caithe. I appreciate the input. Now, who else wants to put in their two cents worth? -
As we may or may not know, Nuska, that cheeky son-of-a-gun, pulled those famous female skin textures from the Nexus a while back for reasons unknown. Possibly, it's to satisfy some sadistic lust derived from giving nice things to the masses, then snatching them away to watch the ensuing chaos, but I digress. My point is, with the skin textures gone, I am trying to pick out a decent alternative. I'm considering XCE, but I feel like I'm missing something. Care to help me out in my endeavor? My guidelines are these: The texture must have that rough, gritty look Nuska's did.It must go well with MacKom's Real Skin for Men, -OR- the texture can apply to both males and females, but still have that same charmingly disheveled look.Ideally, I'd like it to be for the vanilla body, but UNP is fine too... I guess. I just want it to work well with the Immersive Armors, is all. And That's it. Thanks in advance, Nexus!

Alright, I seeing problems with the game. In interiors when I step into certain areas, the lights will flicker and my character will turn semitransparent. And when I'm outside, the ENB sunglare (I use vibrant Skyrealism) can be seen THROUGH the terrain. The lighting mod is Realistic Lighting Overhaul. I'm not sure if these issues are related, but they arose when I updated and downloaded some mods. I appreciate any help you can give. Thanks in advance. The mods are: Dual Sheath ReduxAnimation Tweaks and FixesaMidianBorn Book of SilenceEven Better Quest ObjectivesLess Intrusive HUD II

Alright. This s*** is getting annoying. At the most inopportune times in a fight, shouts will just suddenly stop working. By inopportune times, I mean when you need to fade away from a killing blow, or when a guy can be shouted off a cliff. They'll disappear from favorites, be grayed out in the character menu and selecting them will give you a message stating that you can't change shouts while shouting when you were never even shouting in the first blasted place! I first started playing this game on the Xbox version and it was a problem even there since day one. A year later (a goddamned year!) I join the PC community and I'm still seeing this problem. What in the name of Amun-Ra causes this, besides Bethesda's incompetence? Is there a fix for this? If not, there goddamn should be. Thanks in advance.

Good evening, Nexus. Gather 'round and listen to my problems. I want Belrand as my steward, but alas, Bethesda's usual incompetence must rear its ugly head and have hiring mercenaries bugged to all hell and the Unofficial Hearthfire Patch is yet to address the problem. It's a shame, too. Everything about this man screams "for the love of God, make me your steward." That said, I am wondering if there is a workaround for this. Can I like manually put him in a faction via console commands or something? Thanks in advance, guys.

Heya, Nexus! Ever since I bought Skyrim I have noticed stuttering and breaks in dialogue from NPCs that are next to me. "I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an --- to the knee" is what I'll hear over and over again. Does anybody know I can to fix this? I downloaded the latest audio drivers for my sound card and even reinstalled game but to no avail. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

LE Intimidation is clearly broken. There should be a fix.
KlinkKlink replied to KlinkKlink's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Alright. Opinions seem to be somewhat mixed, but it seems that the consensus is that a lot of people would love to see a mod that addresses the intimidation mechanic. I you are a modder that knows how to make this happen, for the love of Thor, do it. Please.- 10 replies

Hey, guys. I must ask. Do you remember ever passing intimidation checks more times than you can count on one hand? I daresay that you don't. If you ever tried to play an intimidating character, you'll realize that you're not passing many of them. For instance, I started running out of patience with this nonsense and decided test how functional this core game mechanic really is. I popped in some console gibberish that raised my speech skill to 100, forced on the "Intimidation" perk, and I added an "Amulet of Dibella" and "Dibella's Blessing" for good measure on a level 30 character. This is representative of a player that is pretty far in the game, and yet - and yet - you cannot even spook off the dirty guards on front of Riften. This isn't right at all. Why should your evil vampire orc warlock have to be polite and sociable? I looked in vain for a mod on the Nexus and then Steam, which brings me here. I, and I wager many others, would appreciate it if a person skilled at this sort of thing would create a mod that changes whatever formulas that are behind the intimidation mechanic to something that is actually playable. Thanks in advance, Nexus!- 10 replies
