I retried reinstalling NMM into the same place it was before with no luck. I then tried installing it in a different location and it now works and all my installed mods are still in place, Thanks for the assists folks. That's why this forum is the best!

I just checked both the NexusClient.exe and the desktop icon and both are still set to run as an administrator. I have the latest .NET framework installed (4.6.2) My Norton AV shows the file as safe. I set Norton to go into Silent Mode and tried again but the NMM still doesn't run. I manually added the NexusClient.exe to my 'Always Allow' programs to run on my Norton A/V. Still no luck.

I have been using NMM 0.63.14 since it was released and suddenly it will not start either from my desktop icon nor from the file folder. I reloaded the program (I did not uninstall it, just reloaded it) but that did not help. Will uninstalling the program mess up the mods I have already downloaded and activated? To add to this, when I click on the icon a window pops up asking if I want to run the program. When I select YES the window disappears and the 'working' circle starts, then... nothing. It doesn't show up in Task Manager either. It just doesn't run at all.

When I started playing Skyrim I found your mod early on and loaded it because I noticed that many of the best pieces of armor and clothing required it. Now I am playing Skyrim SE and look forward to your mod coming in to improve the looks of the characters. I salute you for a most excellent piece of work.

I tried that. I loaded it in C:\Games with no change. It still will not run. I re-verified that all the .exe files were set to Windows XB Service pack 3 compatibility and set them to run as an administrator. I also went through the steps in the sticky on this forum about going through the registry entries. I am running Windows 8.1 and followed the instructions but the items listed in the post were not there. They may be named something else but I have not gone through all the folders to find them.

I had played this game before and was revisiting it. I reloaded it and it played fine. I started installing mods and then suddenly it crashed. I couldn't figure it out and finally resorted to uninstalling the game and reinstalling it. Now it crashes every time I start the game. After much anguish I found that I am missing the Oblivion.esm file. I have since attempted to reinstall the software but it still doesn't work. What is strange is that BOSS and Wrye Bash shows it there and active, but when I look in the folder it is not there. I have loaded the patches, both official and unofficial but the file is still missing and the game will not play. I have the GOTY edition if that helps any. I am running the game on Windows 8 and have set the compatibility of all the launchers to XP SP3 and set them to Run as Administrator. Any ideas????? :sad:

I am having the same issue. Mine is telling me that I am missing the Oblivion.esm file but BOSS and Wrye Bash say it is there and active. I looked in the Oblivion folder and could not find it. I attempted to unload and reload the game, but it is still missing. If anyone else sees this and answers it would be a great help.

For some reason the "Mourning never comes" quest does not start for me. I have tried all the recommended fixes I could find but nothing works. I have tried the lengthy prid/moveto console commands, the setstage DB03 commands for all levels from 5 to 200 and the resetquest DB03 command. Nothing works. Astrid keeps looping in her dialog after she talks to Cicero but the quest never starts. The getstage DB03 command shows at 0.00. I have killed all 3 targets from the previous quest but cannot get the rewards because I keep getting sent back to Astrid. I went back to a previous save where I had just finished with the Aretino boy but before getting kidnapped and let the game go into the DB quests again (twice), but it still doesn't work. Any ideas?

I had the same issue. It turned out to be one of the mods I had installed which was FNIS. Your problem may be from a different mod. If you have installed anything recently I would uninstall it and try again.

I have been working on the Companions Quests and completed the main ones. Now I have 2 issues with the radiant quests. 1. In "Striking the Heart" I have assassinated the leader as required. The quest does not progress to stage 20. I verified the stage and it says I am at stage 10.00. I tried console commands to force it to stage 20, 100 and 200 but the quest does not advance. 2. in "Escaped Criminal" the quest suddenly dropped into the grayed out area as if I had completed it. I checked the stage and it showed 255 as if I had failed it. Again, I tried forcing the stages without success. Now I cannot get more jobs (I could before Escaped Criminal) and have no way to finish these quests. Any ideas?

Does anyone have a mod that will alphabetize ALL of the inventory lists? Some inventories list them by strength (I think). I would prefer to have them alphabetic when I am searching for a specific item.
