  1. Sir i don't think it is the game, i think it is your definiton of above-average that is a bit wacky. I run skyrim on high on my one year old mid-range 13.3" laptop, on an external monitor with 1920x1080 resolution. There are minimum and recommended requirements stated on the game before you buy it, if you don't meet these then buying for pc may not be a good idea.
  2. Using the werewolf power in places you shouldn't. In the quest were you get
  3. Ancient nord arrow and a visual glitch is my bet, although hard to say. Got curious myself
  4. You should just settle down with 'magic'. Some illogical things you should be able to look past, after all there are undead walking around, people shoting fire and ice out of their hands and so on :psyduck: (just always wanted to use that smiley) Once the construction set is realeased, give it a week and all the lights will be removed from these sealed of places (hopefully not from all the dungeons, i don't think bandits live in utter darkness), oblivion had tons of those mods.
  5. At first it is like a normal shout, or whisper. The whole point of that shout is to make a sound somwhere else so that enemies will walk in the wrong direction. And yes, you shout that makes another shout that shouts insults  Very useful for stealth characters if some enemies are in a bad posistion, find myself using it a lot.
  6. I completely agree with this, there should be some intimidation factor tied up to what armour you wear. Were daedric is on the top of the scale, i mean you look like the devil himself, who in their right mind would mess with you? I think it is a good idea for a mod, the cooler the armour you wear is, the less chance there is for any low-level bandits to mess with you, and will usualy prefer to flee. Also the chance for the intimidation option in a dialogue to work will increas depending on the armour. I'd love a mod like that
  7. I don't really know what it is you are aiming for, but like the guy above said, open console, click the npc and type setsize [number from 0.1-10 or something]. Setscale also does the same i guess
  8. haha, isn't that the too? funny screenshot
  9. Showing a holier-than-thou attitude does not put you on some moral high ground, quite the opposite i think. A post like this does not really contribute to solving your problem, it does the opposite and i think you know it (and said it yourself). Gotta remember that the first line of defence against flame is to ignore it, and then move on to laugh about it, flame wars can be pretty enjoyable to read if you see some humor to it  Heated arguments won't go away, people are different and therefor view and respond differently, thinking anything else is silly utopian thinking so live with it!
  10. I'm supprised so many had the same feeling as me, that the quild quests were incomplete. I was afraid that i'd be getting a lot of flame and insults for feeling that way, so this was a plesant supprise ;D I think this has proven that the age of dlc is upon us, we all know beth can do better and i'm sure they will, just in the form of dlc later on. And as many other people, i also want to play the drum naked in the streets
  11. As a member of the Dark Brotherhood, I'm not at all judgmental of other people's "evil" tendencies. That being said, is there any way to "complete" the quest without killing him? Like lying about killing Cicero during the DB quest? Wait, you didn't kill Cicero? How could anyone not kill that crazy Jester, hell, i even tried to kill him once when i met him randomly on a road, i even did the DB quest line and still killed him, but then again, he had it coming. You should read his journals, then you will see. You will also see that he was right further down the line :-) you can even talk to lucien(or how it is spelled) about it I didn't want to kill that dragon either, he is just too cool and has been far more useful than the blades. Even though i feel a connection to the blades because of oblivion, i didn't want to help them. In fact i tried killing the after they made the request (storm call ;-)) but og course they were marked as non killable npc
  12. I love the tundra area in the middle of skyrim, find it beautiful and i actually prefer travle over fast travle there. Quite enjoy the dragon dungeons too, love stumbling over a dragon preist and get that mask and the occasional staff.
  13. Try entering the town with your weapons up, when they start attacking you, press R and they should give you the option of going to jail, paying the bounty or die. @elvinkun Sometimes they bounty message will pop up, but is followed by a message that says bounty removed due to last witness killed. Many times i have also thought i got a bounty for killing some guy in the wilderness, but has always been removed as long as there is no one running and screaming from ths site.
  14. Before i go on with my rambling, i have to pardon my english, not a native speakers so please don't call a lynch mob if you see an error :-( So i guess there is no secret that the quild quest were forgettable. I mean they were so short, no real storry that was told or no mystery that was unrevealed, and had a serious lack of variety with the quests. The companions were ok, with this whole werewolf thing going on. But the quests were pissboring, always kill the leader of this dungeon. they story can be said the same about, they tried to mix in some companions history and the past (which could have been interesting if they played on it, instead) but instead they went with this stupid lets take revenge, which was followed by revenge from the other side which was again answered with revenge. In oblivion the fighters guild had a much more interesting and cleaver storyline, with the black water company and all, and the quests had a much greater variety then just enter a dungeon and kill the leader. The mages guid, just what the hell was that? 3 quest and then the old guy runs up to you and say: "you're the arch mage now" and what was the deal with these mysterious mages you saw a total of two times before they disapeared from the game. So much wasted potential. Oblivion had a much grander scale to it, and actually had a storyline which was not some incomplete rushed grabage that was over before it began. And finally the dark brotherhood, man what a bunch of interesting characters and how much effort they put in to setting the atmosphere and developing everyone. Could have been so much more, as with all the other quest lines you didn't get involved in to any kind of interesting storyline, killing the emp. seem like som grand scheeme they could have done so much more with, instead we get three quests were putting and arrow in someones head is all it takes to finish, then the brotherhood is killed of and you are left with a bunch of generic new bortherhood members, a dead emp. and and endless amout of pointless quests. The only interesting part of the brotherhood was reading scicero's journals. Again, wasted potenial and forgetable, uninspiered quests. I won't believe how rushed everything felt, how can they have failed so badly at something they did so awesome in the previous games? which leads me to my question, will we see a continuation of the storylines in some dlc? were they made short and rather pointless so that there is room for expansion? Discuss, and please stay on topic :-)
