  1. Howdy, Last night I followed the process I outlined. Once all the Xbox gold cloud saves were deleted, I was able to download Red Sonja and the rest of the mods I had problems with. My Theory on the cause is simple. The cloud was syncing up my console save information. The cloud syncd save information kept tabs on my mods. According to that information, I already had the mods and could not download them again. Each time I downloaded Skyrim for a reinstall, had no impact on the cloud saves. I simply wanted my time and bandwidth. It's kind of a rookie mistake for someone as versed with end user errors as I am. :) I've got to say this because my OCD nature won't allow me to leave it out. The issue was not caused by application component overlays by mods. Reflecting on advice given in many other posts gives me a preventative manual procedure. Do a hard save after mod updates (add, delete or order modification) then quit the game and reboot the xbox1. I'll keep adding mods until my favorites back in place. I'm at 2 gigs worth right now. If all continues to go as expected, I'll give a final report.
  2. Howdy JWD and Nexus modders, I have an update. The issue with downloading mods is worse and DOES NOT appear to be related to Red Sonja. I have had issues with bijin all in one, rdo, color patch remover and a few more. Steps I took: Reloaded Skyrim SE for XBox 1. Started new game. Downloaded Mods until received ' operation can not be completed.' The game play saves eventually get corrupted and I have to reinstall Skyrim to resolve. I omitted what may be the critical link. I never synchronized with Xbox gold. Tonight, I will delete all mods, wipe all console AND gold saves. Perform hard console reset. Verify there are no save files anywhere. Start new game with vanilla character. Download 1 gig of favorite mods. Play through first mission. Save. Verify save was successful. Attempt additional mod downloads. Play, save, verify save. Complete mod favorites download. Total 3.5 gigs. If it works, I caused the initial issue when I blew out my mods. The issue was perpetuated by Xbox gold saves. If it doesn't work. I'll follow the same process and add a reinstall after I delete all mods and saves again. The cause may be tied to overwriting some of the skyrim application code, objects, etc. I'll share what I find. Justin, If you see this, I apologize for any bad publicity. Your mods are fantastic!
  3. Howdy JWD and Nexus modders. My favorites are the original Red and Valeria. Well I had to reinstall Skyrim and lost them. I reinstalled them. There is a recent update to Red. I tried to get the update but I received the ever loving 'operation could not be performed' message. From There on all mods got the same message. I reinstalled again today because I finished some really huge mods and I was going for one last run through. When I tried to add Red again, I immediately got the error and I once again can't download any more. On the first failure, I thought I popped the cork with too many mods and corrupted segments due to combos and load order. This second load failure is emperical evidence. I could do it a third time but with only Red but I think I have enough evidence. Red Sonja (cbbe) has divorced me. I'm going to let her be especially since JWD has some other winners. Although... Nothing compares with my first downloads of Valeria and Red. Hope that's useful JWD. I'm always looking for your latest stuff.
  4. Ah, I wasn't specific. When I select a piece of apparel to enchant (rings, helms, circlets, bracers, armor, boots, etc.) All options are disabled. Tried many times and many ways. I went legendary in hopes to reset. Once broken, always broken. I have restarted from clean vanilla saves many times. I deleted all my saves, and reloded the game this last time. I hope that fills in a few of the gaps. My suspected mods are 'cheat room, levellers tower and the vdk start chest rings. That's what make me believe it has to do with incompatibility with the vanilla code. Perhaps a save table was overlaid. Weapon enchantments work fine.
  5. Howdy, This is Mark. It seems to me that enchanments on apparel gets busted if I use a cheat to increase enchanting level over 100 or I use a mod item to boost enchantment. I don't really care too much but my best levelling methods after playing through some mods is to use enchanted apparel to help boost alchemy and smithing. I can no longer boost apparel. I'm going to reload one more time and start a final game with the best of your mods. I'm avoiding the cheat rooms and anything that artificially boosts skill levels. I'll avoid apparel that adds enchanting bonuses because I don't think the game can handle it. Anything else I should avoid?
  6. Howdy Nexus Regulars. This is Mark. I'm a 56 year old Fiddler from Texas. Even at my age, I still like playing through elder scrolls games. I suppose I had over 1500 hours into Skyrim by the time I loaded up a mod on to the xb1. Dang!!!! You people are freaking awesome! You all got me laughing my rear off. You literally got my heart roaring with some scary stuff. You have amazed me with some of your creative brilliance. You totally outdid everything Bethesda offered up. Mind you now, I'm a big time Elder Scrolls and Fallout fan. You all raised the bar. Just saying. One more thing. I've won many a fiddle contest and made a small fortune off my music. My woodworking skills would blow your mind. I know this seems like bragging but It will help to make a point. I have a good idea of what art is. You all are artists one and all. Some of could compare to Beethoven or Rembrandt. The only difference is you have a different set of tools to express your art. Some of your stuff is simply amazing. Nexus Team, thanks for bringing it all together! Because of you, Im building a gaming PC for my Den and I'm getting a mega screen 4k tv as a gaming monitor. You gave me taste, now I'm hooked. I've got to find out what's next. Talk at you all later! Mark
