Black Face Texture When Made Higher Resolution
Drumber replied to Drumber's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I think it's a safe bet that the reason is you have to make all the face textures 2k, you can't just make one texture higher resolution. All textures in the face customization folder are 1k apart from specular maps. If you change the resolution of any of those textures they stop working also. -
Black Face Texture When Made Higher Resolution
Drumber replied to Drumber's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
It kinda looks like it takes the basehuman texture, mixes it up with what is found in the character assets folder and then outputs the custom texture to the facecustomization folder. If you figure anything out message here or pm me, I've been trying to figure this out all week but can't get it to work -_- -
Pretty much as the title says, whenever you change the human face texture to a higher resolution than the standard 1024x1024 it changes the texture to be black in game. I've made a high resolution retexture of it and I cannot get it to work. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this and get it to work properly?

I'm having a slight problem with a face texture replacer I'm creating. Whenever I install the face texture it keeps the vanilla texture and turns the characters face black, see screen here https://i.imgur.com/fvqlo6v.jpg. Not sure if this has something to do with a change in texture format? Any ideas how to fix it anyone?

Update on NMM status, more site fixes implemented
Drumber replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
Couldn't see this on the list of known bugs, sorry if it is. On files after you have downloaded, you can't vote for them for FOTM or endorse them. This may just be limited the the New Vegas nexus but a mod I have uploaded Fallout Character Overhaul (been hidden) had a few comments saying people couldn't endorse. I have also tested this on another file I recently downloaded and it said I have to wait a certain amount of time before I can endorse when it had already been well over 24 hours. This may just be a server thing whilst you are doing maintenance but thought I'd let you guys know anyway! -
Day 1 patches, fixes, cure for the slowness and NMM temporarily down

In response to post #10437407. When there is an update Dark0ne will say so, I am waiting for NMM to be online as well but it's pointless people posting here asking all the time. -

I see your point TheThirdRace, maybe I feel the way I do because I am not going to just ban users from using my stuff on a whim unless they blatantly are setting out to just be an annoyance or to cause an argument. But I suppose some less tolerant mod authors may do. I guess we will just have to see how it goes in the coming months and see if mod authors will abuse it or not. -

I agree with greggorypeccary, I think mod authors should have the right to share there work with who they want to share it with. Personally I am happy with everyone using anything I make but if all they do is troll and are generally an ass then I think I should have the right to not share my work with them and report them to a moderator so they can decide if they should be banned or not. -

New mod author comment moderation features and updated terms of servic
Drumber replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
It kinda seems like from reading a page and a bit of comments mod authors like the new features but mod users who don't mod themselves are strongly against authors being able to block a user from there mods. Personally I think the new features are great, giving mod authors more control over who downloads things that they have made is always a good thing as long as mod authors don't abuse it. Hopefully this new system will stop people just trolling mod authors, not leaving them alone by messaging them and demanding things from them so there mod suits them more as they have an endorsement to give them in return which is something that has been my main annoyance with the nexus community. Thanks for the update Dark0ne! -
Geck crash on startup (Windows 8)
Drumber replied to Drumber's topic in Fallout New Vegas's Mod Troubleshooting
Took enb wrapper out of my FNV directory and making it run in compatibility mod worked, thanks! -
Title pretty much says it all, the Geck opens up and as it is loading it just crashes, can anyone help? Anyone know if it even works with Windows 8?
-
I have been trying to get these to run together for a while but whilst ENB seems to be enabled (can get gui up) it has no effect at all. Anyone know how to get them to work? EDIT: Fixed it

Okay so I have a problem, I have been added to manage this file http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/53082//? but it's not working, I checked with nekronom12 that he added me correctly and everything but still not in my managed files or anything, anyone know how to fix it?
-
Thank you both, I thought this was the way to do it but I recently got added to a mod page as I am doing some work on it and the only thing that changed was my name was highlighted in the comment area which is why I was a bit confused.

Is there any way to have more than one person to edit a mod page, like the description/uploading files etc?

Looks really cool -
Just thought of this whilst playing the game, I am guessing it may require scripting but having the player do headtracking like NPC's do would be awesome and a must have mod for me. Hope someone considers making it
