  1. Hah! Thanks Jordan that did the trick. And by that I mean, going back into my Nvidia settings and poking about. It turns out SLI got DISABLED when I recently updated the latest drivers. Which was about the time I saw the sudden drop. What a difference that makes. So where I was getting 20-21 FPS I now see 38-45 FPS. This is outside specifically. Inside I have jumped anywhere from 40-60 FPS. See I knew I didn't need to start turning things off, I just couldn't figure out why suddenly the system started choking.
  2. Hey guys, thanks for the responses. @Jordan 7890, I am using realvision ENB. I also have the 2k HD textures full. I realize my card is at the cusp of the recommended graphics card. But I have 2 of them running SLI instead of just 1 card. Also the TI 560 surpasses some of the 600 series cards. That said, the settings you recommended are set, well except the bShadowsOnGrass=1. @Thomriis I am seeing skyrim using 605 MB and ENB using ~860 MB of memory in Task Manager. Im not sure if my card is set, I am hesitant to reopen the skyrim launcher as that will auto change all the settings I set for ENB in the my ini files. However, I do see that Realvision ENB lists my card when Skyrim starts. Although it doesn't list that 2 of them are running. Is there a way to make sure both cards are working together as they should? As far as I can see the are set to SLI and the system is seeing that. I don't think my FPS is capped, when I went into a cave earlier, my fps went up to ~30. If anything it is capped at 60 according to these settings: [LIMITER] WaitBusyRenderer=falseEnableFPSLimit=falseFPSLimit=60.0 Here are a few more of my enb ini settings:[MEMORY]ExpandSystemMemoryX64=trueReduceSystemMemoryUsage=trueDisableDriverMemoryManager=falseDisablePreloadToVRAM=falseEnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=falseReservedMemorySizeMb=512VideoMemorySizeMb=8192EnableCompression=falseAutodetectVideoMemorySize=true Skyrimprefs.ini[imagespace]bDoDepthOfField=1iRadialBlurLevel=2[Display]iBlurDeferredShadowMask=3fInteriorShadowDistance=3000.0000fShadowDistance=8000.0000iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=1024iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048iShadowSplitCount=2iMaxAnisotropy=0fLeafAnimDampenDistEnd=4600.0000fLeafAnimDampenDistStart=3600.0000fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=10000000.0000fGamma=1.0000fDecalLOD2=1500.0000fDecalLOD1=1000.0000fSpecularLODStartFade=1910.0000fShadowLODStartFade=200.0000fLightLODStartFade=3500.0000iTexMipMapMinimum=0iTexMipMapSkip=0iWaterMultiSamples=0iMultiSample=0iShadowMode=3bTreesReceiveShadows=1bDrawLandShadows=1bFull Screen=0iSize H=1080iSize W=1920fMeshLODFadePercentDefault=1.2000fMeshLODFadeBoundDefault=256.0000fMeshLODLevel2FadeTreeDistance=2048.0000fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=2844.0000fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=10000000.0000fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=10000000.0000iScreenShotIndex=4bShadowMaskZPrepass=0bMainZPrepass=0iMaxSkinDecalsPerFrame=25iMaxDecalsPerFrame=100bFloatPointRenderTarget=1sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti"bFXAAEnabled=0iShadowMapResolution=4096fShadowBiasScale=0.1500iShadowMaskQuarter=4iAdapter=0iPresentInterval=1iShadowFilter=3bShadowsOnGrass=1bTransparencyMultisampling=0bDeferredShadows=1bDrawShadows=1[Grass]b30GrassVS=1fGrassStartFadeDistance=6000.0000fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=0.0000 Finally skyrim.ini[General]sLanguage=ENGLISHuExterior Cell Buffer=36uGridsToLoad=5 [Actor] fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=12288.0000 [Display]fShadowLODMaxStartFade=1000.0fSpecularLODMaxStartFade=2000.0fLightLODMaxStartFade=3500.0iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=2048bAllowScreenshot=1 [Grass]bAllowCreateGrass=1bAllowLoadGrass=0iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=7iMinGrassSize=70
  3. I am also seeing random drops to the desktop or the game will lock up. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. Just as an update to my original issue. I fixed it by clearing all the graphic enhancing / altering mods and ENB. I then readded them 1 at a time following the guide on the Real Visions ENB site. Issue was resolved after.
  5. As a note, I do turn off background programs, including the firewall and anti-virus. I tried running FPS booster but it didn't help.
  6. I just recently started seeing a big drop in FPS. My save game file size has not increased dramatically. I have tweaked my ini files a bit but I am reluctant to drastically lower settings. I have a pretty decent machine and shouldn't be getting stuck at 20fps. At least I don't think I should. If anyone could point out potential areas where I am having issues by all means. I am using an ENB, but I also have a 560ti x2 SLI. I will post my system specs and load order below. System Specs: OS: Windows 8.1 GPU: Geforce GTX 560 TI x2 (SLI) CPU: Intel Core i7 960 3.2GHz Driver Version: 332.1 Memory 12 gigs Motherboard: Asus Saberthooth x58 Load Order: http://www.mystiquefx.com/load-order-01.jpg http://www.mystiquefx.com/load-order-02.jpg
  7. Not that anyone came to help me out... But I solved the issue. I uninstalled all the visual mods and then stepped through 1 by 1 and made sure they all went in exactly as instructed. Seems to be working now.
  8. Here is an image of what's going on: The line you see out in the water actually flickers. http://www.mystiquefx.com/black-water-01.jpg
  9. Here is are images for my load order if they help at all. http://www.mystiquefx.com/load-order-01.jpg http://www.mystiquefx.com/load-order-02.jpg
  10. Hey all, I just got a new video card, 2nd, geforce 560 TI. I got them set up via SLI. I decided to start playing Skyrim again and wanted to mod it out with some high end stuff. I decided on the following (this is not all my mods but some of the big ones) Static Mesh Improvement Mod Skyrim HD 2k Textures (all) Skyrim Flora Overhaul Natural Grass Texture Floor W.A.T.E.R SkyFalls - Animated Distant Waterfalls (I think this one is on, im not at my PC to check just now) Project Reality - Climates Of Tamriel Climates of Tamriel - Weather Patch Realistic Lighting Overhaul 4.0.8.01 Real Vision ENB There are a lot more, but i think those are the primary graphic ones that might be messing with the water. So I followed the instructions on the Real Visions ENB page here at Nexus. I installed the mods that i was going to use in the order suggested, that should be right with installing over previous mods. (i think). I changed the settings in the various ini's. I turned off the in-game FX and via nvidia control panel so ENB can set them. I copied the ENB files required to the skyrim folder and ran the install as instructed. That said, the game looks good for the most part, but when I get to any body of water there seems to be an issue. Along the edges the water is all black like it's shadowed wrong. Also the edge lines for the shore are extremely jagged it doesn't look good. If I turn the water settings off in ENB, the black goes away. But the edges are still sharp. Parts of the water will flicker at times, in the shape of a line. Short of taking all the mods out and redoing the order of them, I really don't know what's causing this. I couldn't find anything else particularly with the jagged edges online on how to fix it. Anyone have any ideas?
