A video showing the problem i am having. As you can see a the ladders/doors work fine lot of the time but the video cuts where the game freezes on my last use of a ladder. Like i said before it freezes enough to stop someone enjoying the mod. I hate that this project might have been a wasted few months work. https://youtu.be/HC0-1Q3O3lA

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone knows about this or if it is a common problem. I have created a couple of cells containing custom items and quests. My cells load ok if i load a save from within them or if i use a console command to teleport into them but if i use a door within the cells the game sometimes loads the next door on an infinite loop and even if its just a ladder to take me to one part of the cell to another. So the cells don't freeze the game a door/ladder sometimes does and just enough for someone to say my mod is broken. Thanks for any help you might give.

Thanks guys, i see now that it does work and its during the event i can disable player contols.I was hoping it would toggle Vats until i enabled it again with another event lol, well at least i know now.

Thank you for you continued help. I would like to help my self but there is clearly something i am failing to understand. Below was the results of many hours on the wiki, I can't see what i am missing here. It compiles if i make the script in a Quest stage but it does not seem to function in game. Thanks again.

Just added the script to activator, not the render window, removed the changes made by the ck and now it works :yes: The transition to the minigame is seamless thanks for your help. Any idea if DisablePlayerControls Will not work in Fallout 4? I tried 'player.disablePlayerControls(abVATS = true)' but it come up with 'disablePlayerControls is not a function or does not exist' I would just like to know to save me chasing a dead horse.

I feel like a dumb person, once again here cap in hand to ask for your help. I have been making a mod which allows you to go to a specific terminal and play a 90s style action minigame. I have so far created all new assets including models, textures, videos, sounds and now im ready to script it all together but im already stuck. I want to start a stage in my quest by clicking on an activator. I want it to work like the 'DefaultSetStageTriggerPlayerOnly' activator only instead of activating my quest by walking into the activator i want to activate the it manually. I tried: Onactivate MODQuest1.SetStage(20) But nothing happened. My second query is, is there a script that will store the players inventory into a container and return it all when i want it too? That is important so that i can keep players from bringing HD stuff into my retro minigame. Thank you anyone than can help me, i love making mods but scripts always sets me back.

I will try looking at the assultron helmet when I get home. That changes state during combat.

Hello Sorry to be a pain but i was wondering if anyone could help. I have created a follower and i would like him to change into the outfit on the right during combat or during power attacks at the least. I have tried adding a script to change his outfit to various places in his quest but nowhere seems to make it work. Any advice i would appreciate, thanks.

I'm not sure if this is ok because its off topic. I am sculpting a head for him which is more terrifying for when he fights. Does anyone know how i can make him change outfit just for combat? I'm trying to follow tutorials as fast as i can come up with ideas but i can't find one that would help me with this specific one. Thanks for any input :) -

Hello. I am hoping anyone would help me with a follower i am making. I created a vault boy puppet in 3ds max and i attached it to a duplicate of the feral ghoul race now called puppet race. The puppet race plays the same sounds as the feral ghoul race which i would like to change to my custom ones but not replace the sounds of all feral ghouls. I'm not trying to create dialogue, i just want custom sounds when the creature idles, attacks etc. I have created sound descriptors based off of the feral ghoul ones like 'NPCFeralGhoulIdleAnim' renamed to 'NPCpuppetIdleAnim' and changed the sounds within to my own. This tutorial Creature SFX Implementation Guide | TESRenewal: Morroblivion, Skywind, Skyblivion tells me to edit the behavior graph FeralGhoulProject.hkx to point the races sfx towards my custom sound descriptors. The application ConverUI might be out of date because i cant get it to do anything with FeralGhoulProject.hkx so im stuck trying to make FeralGhoulProject.hkx editalbe. Please share any knowledge you have on this subject, i would really appreciate it as i really want my puppet to play spooky phrases/music and not just zombie sounds. Thanks.

For reasons unknown to me the texture fixes itself when i move the body weight slider up and down in the showracemenu but wont stay that way for long. I have problems with the morphing of the body also, possibly because Num Vertices in NiTriShape with _0 and _1 nifs dont match up but im not altering anything. The vertices in nifs malebody_1 and _0 match, i import into 3ds max then export and vertices in both files no longer match. Also is there any way of copying the body from malebody_1.nif into my armor.nif using nifskope? it would solve all of my problems.

I find my problem is with slsf1_facegen_RGB_tint in nifskope which when ticked is suposed to apply your characters skin tone and texture to your mesh but insted messes up the texture for me

Hello everybody. If you have any hints please share, i so tierd with this. I made armor in 3dsmax and imported the male body from \meshes\actors\character\characterassets folder minus the [censored]. I then exported and did the usual sorting of messed up BSLightingShaderPropertys on my armor and gave the male body the BSLightingShaderProperty from the original. On the left is the armor in nifskope and on the right in skyrim with a messed up body texture. http://s14.postimage.org/6wphtup01/ass.jpg Does anybody understand why this is happening? The texture displays correctly on him naked without the armor on. Thanks :smile:

happens even without body mods It's something to do with whether the skin tone morph gets applied on the head and the body. Nothing to do with the body mods you install. So everyone is experiencing this, what about people on consoles? -

Hello. All the the npc vampires in my game have a skin tone that does not match their bodies, my character (the one in the middle) is fine though. I have done everything i can think of please if any one has any ideas what i can do say. Its driving me nuts. http://i49.tinypic.com/25gdj5u.jpg
