  1. I'm quite certain that there will be another screenie competition! The Nexus guys will be reviewing how it went on their end, in order to try to make improvements to the way their competition system worked. Then, once they have made the necessary adjustments and sorted out who's doing what again, I'm confident they'll be doing another one :) This just means for us that we can take our time doing more cool screenshots. Hey, in this interim, see if you can all do images of different themes, then you can have some ready for whatever theme they do next! :D Looking forward to next one. I'm sure it will be easier to submit entries next time so I don't think there'll be much to worry about :)
  2. I like to see myself as something of a photographer, or well, photography hobbyist? heh.. Unfortunately, I kept looking at this event thingy and seemed to feel very uncomfortable and anxious. I obviously wanted to join in but I have always looked at the images and how they are rated / voted / judged / call it what you will (the very thing that this screenshot / image "event" involves - being judged and winners selected over others), anyway I've always looked at how images are rated and it's mostly boobs n ass that get endorsements and then ego boosts and I dunno.. I just get jaded. Anyway, back on-topic.. being as self imposed jaded as I seem to be, I instantly felt hesitant to 'enter'? this event thingy. I still think it's great and can be fun and all, but I guess I must need more encouragement hehe I dunno <_< I think my conflict (oops sorry) lies in the title; "Screenshot". Therein lies the dilemma. Can you edit the screenshot? If the screenshots are being judged and prizes given out, how does the poor guy who can't afford photoshop or happens to be dyslexic and struggles with tiny words on a screen, possibly compete (yes you are unnavoidably in competition here) with those who have super duper photo shop and all that stuff? <hides under a table>
  3. Meh, prefer to avoid entering in these kinds of thing. Rather not see this stuff to be honest. Haters feel free to hate away but I have way better shots than some of those above, yet I know I'll not get a look in, dunno, I just know. So I avoid anything like this. Most of the time it isn't about merit but who's who and popularity. Other places that involve this stuff prove this notion. The judges need to be independent, not selected from the community here. The admin of the site would be good candidates, or even a "jury" of their family members or friends who are NOT affiliated with nexus mods OR its members. With a positive addendum to this comment, this feedback, I hope can be helpful in future.
  4. Hi there Forum, Basically I am using True Storms latest version and Darker Nights, because I prefer it over other weathers. But I want to know which ENB is compatible? Some ENB descriptions are requiring NAC to be installed and I really don't want that. I'm old School and do not seem to have the hots for NAC, ('Natural Atmosphseric Commonwealth' weather mod) as many others seem to be having. Mainly because of the way it disables/affects some of the game settings and also just the fact that I much prefer True Storms / Darker Nights. I want to stick with True Storms weather as I've always done and I have noticed many ENBs REQUIRE NAC as well as True Storms. I simply don't want that. I've tried PRC enb and I'm really not keen on it, especially as it is really made for use with NAC. Having exhaustively scoured the site's forum for ENB that is best with True Storms but doesn't involve NAC, I just can't seem to hit on anything, searches come up empty. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  5. ah man... That sucks. What else sucks is that Bethesda are in blatant competition with modding community, yet trying to look like they aren't. Involving Nexus in monitoring mods would have definitely stopped this crappy stuff going on for sure!!! Why are Bethesda so ignorant? Stupid? Something that comes to mind here, from your post, Beardedwonder95, is that Bethesda don't want to do anything because it looks like there's a possibility that Bethesda are making money off uploaded/downloaded paid mods? That's awful if it's true and needs action taking against it.
  6. I was looking for this simply for the hood. Trying to find a decent hood is really hard. I want my female character to look like a wasteland S.T.A.L.K.E.R type but so far, all I've seen are edits of the Hunter's hood and I think the Rebel Hood with a beanie under it, which isn't good for females with hair. Damn, might have to settle for the Hunter's Hood with removed bandana I guess for now. Honestly, it's a bit of a throwing toys out of pram attitude though, to deny thousands of people the file he initially shared on here. It doesn't make sense to do that since it only serves to make the 'stolen' upload look more original and unique, having no original source due to it being removed. Whelp, up to him I suppose. It's not a nice thing to do to steal someone's creativeness, let alone copy it. If I were him I'd have left a message on my mod informing of the issue but that Bethesda be contacted and have the copy removed, maybe things were more complicated than that? Bit late to the party I know, but it's a shame all said n done.
  7. I found this extremely helpful, thanks very much, Tomomi1922. I was having same issue and was kind of onto the right track, but got to what I was looking for with the help of this streamlining explanation here. It is always worth posting helpful stuff like this, because people do searches online and without helpful comments posted, like this one, they won't come up in any search. It's pretty difficult to find what is needed, especially with most of the advice outdated, referring to much older versions of things. But anyway, thanks. This helped me when I did a search in Google. It brought me here, (eventually). EDIT: Oh, I'd like to add, I couldn't find "out black" in colour correction or anywhere in the ENB menu. I know that would really help me, but don't seem to have it or it's a new name now, still, I used brightness plus what was detailed above and it's well, much better, I can tweak a little to help it during the different times of day and save accordingly.
  8. I gave vivid textures a try, didn't like the low res textures. So went with True Grass. It's not a problem with your graphics, it's the resolution of Vivid's texture maps you have installed, not very good. Oh, and for the cars, and well, pertty much everything else, texture-wise, use FlaconOil's Retexture Project. It's amazing.
