Hello, I've been teaching myself with tutorials and such online to retexture and am now playing with glow maps. I've created a layer of the draugr greatsword texture with the areas i want to glow bright white, with the rest of the texture black, and added a _g to the .dds texture file. Now i have the original texture with the area i want to glow retextured brightly(as a test) as well as the modified glow map .dds file in the same folder. In game i'm getting the retexture without any glow. I believe my problem lies with the ambient color or emissive color settings, though i cannot figure out how to make sure it's not set to black in GIMP. I've googled "gimp emissive color" in google with no hits. What am i doing wrong? Thanks.
