Panterradora

So, I am so completely new to all of this PC gaming stuff, as in, I just downloaded steam and origins this morning. I am trying to download some mods for Dragon Age Inquisition and had to pick where to open it to, I picked Explorer because word and paint didn't seem right. So, now, I have gotten to the "view downloads" page and trying to hit open and a screen pops up then it goes away and nothing happens. I am probably about to chuck my computer, a little help?
