  1. Both Fallout 3 and Fallout NV are both not working for me, crashing in the slideshow before the main menu also, both reinstalled, and while I had fallout 3 modded, I've modded NV, they're both vanilla now.
  2. Hey, I saw on another forum to use "event viewer", and I'm showing that my error is in gameoverlayrenderer.dll Does that mean anything to anyone? EDIT - Actually that's only when the launcher crashes on me, which is just an irritation. When the actual game crashes the source is "unknown"
  3. R.P.R. - Does Fallout 3 work for you, or does it also have the same crash? Both are having the same error at my end...
  4. Sadly no, no progress. can you go into more detail on that? FOMM was NOT running well for you before, so you updated your .net framework? I haven't had any problems running FOMM itself, but upgrading your .net framework now allows Fallout to run in compatibility mode? Well, it allows it to run and then crash as usual, I imagine...
  5. Yeah, I'd get that error too if i set falloutnv.exe to run in compatibility mode and tried to run it through FOMM. Also, I found no tweak tool in the FOMM for New Vegas either.
  6. Yeah, same here. I've never seen the main menu of this game... so sad... If anyone has an answer, please post it. If anyone wants to try and help, I'll "watch" this thread.
  7. I've had the exact same symptoms, with crashing while loading the splash screens. Without fail it crashes at the 'Bethesda' screen. I've never once seen the main menu of this game, this has happen since the very beginning. Please post if any of you find an answer. Thanks everyone, especially ccmechanic2 for your in depth support. I've been lookign through forums for answers but so far nothing has worked. I also have a similar issue with Fallout 3, so I'm wondering if it's some sort of a codec or driver issue.
