[LE] 3ds Max editting .nif files

Thanks for the tip, I'll check the Nightasy's tutorials for sure! I really don't know what you mean by weighting, but I guess it's something in 3ds Max. No, I am not a student, but I can have access to a full 3ds Max account from a friend after the trial expires. The only downside is that I won't be able to have access 24/7 obviously, just a couple of hours now and then - still better than nothing! Thanks again, really appreciate the help! :smile: Thanks for your reply too mate! I have NO idea what all those things you mentioned are and how to do them, so I guess 3ds Max wasn't as simple as stretching the mesh you want to stretch and all is fine! Thanks for your info too, will check those out too after I watch some tutorials from Nightasy (as IamTheRedd mentioned above), as it seems this weighting thing you guys both mentioned to be the problem. Thank you both so much, really! :smile: EDIT: Oh and as for Outfit Studio... I have never heard of it before, but with a quick nexus search I found this: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49015?tab=files So I'm guessing this is the one you mentioned. Hello everyone. I'm not a modder or something but I'm editing here and there to adjust mods to my preference. So now I have come a cross a difficulty. I'm trying to change the male mesh of Seppoko's "Mask of Blades" mod (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30033?tab=posts) so that there will be no chin clips with male races (especially elves). I did so with 3ds Max, but it seems it doesn't work... When I export the nif and load the game, the mask is stationary a bit inside my character's face. when I move, it is behind my character's head. I'm using Mod Organizer so I don't know if that's the problem. I also manually import the skeleton from C:/games/steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/mod organizer/mods/XP32 Maximum Skeleton Extended - XPMSE/meshes/actors/character/character assets/skeleton.nif when I import the mask nif, so I don't know what am I doing wrong... The original nif works fine, mine never works. I'm totally new to 3ds Max so I guess there is something I'm doing wrong/haven't noticed. I'd really appreciate it if someone can help me... It'd also be a first step to becoming a modder myself! (although I don't have infinite access to 3ds Max. It's a 30 day trial, but who knows, maybe someday I'll buy it and mod myself! :D ) I'd really REALLY appreciate any help. I'm not asking for others to do it for me, just for a tip of what I'm doing wrong so I can do it myself! And no, I'm not going to upload my changes as I don't have permission to do so, I'm only doing it for me so I can have my bosmer wear the mask without making him chinless!

Hello, I've encountered a strange problem and I think I know what it started it, but I don't know how to fix it. I played skyrim with several mods, but then decided to change PC but didn't want to lose my saves. So I installed skyrim to a new PC, installed all my mods there as well and added my save file too. After loading for the first time, I did not get the message of "there is content missing from this save file, do you wish to continue?" which results when a mod is missing, which means I installed all the mods I was using for this save file correctly. However, I noticed that in the MCM the values were all like 0 for mods and for most mods I could not edit the values. However, even if the values showed 0 or something, everything was the same as before, so I didn't mind as I didn't want to change any values anyways. So the problem is, I have huge lag spikes over time, lasting for 1 second to even 10. This happens at random times and sometimes even one spike after another, with 2-3 seconds of normal gameplay. if I stay still, the lag spikes don't appear, but when I move, turn, interact they appear and it's gamebreaking. My save file is 12.4 MB which means it's not that big to be causing the problems, but still I tried creating a new character. I managed to get my new character over level 40 with no lag spikes at all and this new character's save file is 7.70 MB, so there is no big difference. So I concluded to the fact that only the save file that I tranfered from one PC to another is the problem... Anyone knows how I can fix this? I'd really appreciate it... My game is official Skyrim Legendary Edition running through steam, so I got the latest patch etc and got the latest SKSE (yes I'm sure I installed it correctly, it's just drag-and-drop anyways :P + the save file I created in the new PC works normally) Here's an image of a mod in MCM. I can edit those values to change them from 0 to 1, but it has no effect in the game. The values work normally as they were set in my previous PC, so there was no point in changing them, so I left them like that: If you have any idea to correct this, I'd really appreciate it :smile: Edit: oh and if you need any more info ask anything

well thanks for the effort but what I am actually looking for here is a recharge of the enchanted items little by little, as imo trying to get soul gems, fill them and then use them to refil spoils the fun

I noticed there are 12 downloads of each image but I got no replies... please if someone is actually interested in creating this let me know, as by now I'm a bit dissapointed by the lack of interest :(

guys... in in-game time it is actually like a day from a city to another... what you ask is TOO much of realism and for that time should be adjusted to real time (1 minute = 1 real minute, not 3 seconds) which would make the game almost unplayable... ok realism is nice but... the thing is to have fun with the game, not make it ultra realistic. for me it may be 2 minutes to go from a city to another, but for my character it is actually 1 day due to the in-game time mechanism. Still it isn't a bad idea, it's just something that would 'cause many gameplay problems in my opinion...

I don't know about the whale, but the phoenix thing is a great idea. But still I haven't completely understood what you're up to here... Would these creatures be enemies too (like bosses or something)? Or just for cosmetic reasons liike the hawks we see flying around in the sky? -

Hello everyone, I have a unique Jack of Blades armor from the game Fable: The Lost Chapters request. What I mean is I'm not asking for a retexture here, but for a unique set of armor, craftable I guess, which looks like this: The creation of the mask isn't needed as it already exists (thanks to seppoko's great job). Also, if possible, instead of having this underwear-like red thing on the start of the legs, I'd prefer if it could be more like doodaboom's Scout Armor legggings, like this: But I guess this needs to be allowed by doodaboom himself/herself. If they just say no then this can't be created and wont. EDIT1: If someone's interested in this and/or needs more pictures in order to create it just post here for more pictures and I'll upload more :smile: EDIT2: The same applies for information, as EDIT1. Well all these ideas are great. But I'm very excited to see Andrewchap's blocking magic recharge thing, it's such a unique idea -
well the actual problem is that modders don't even see requests, they just create want they want to create... I don't even know why I bothered adding a request, as no mod is created by a reaquest... Just... Wanted this to happen... Still no chance though :(

I'd like to see a darker green version of one of those standalone monk hoods in order to match with the scout armor mod, as the scout hood has clipping issues with elf ears and isn't that good looking. If the hood could be light armor would be awesome, but I don't care that much as the only thing I ask is a simple retexture of a monk hood to dark green. I know it's not too much, but that's why I'm asking it, 'cause it won't waste your time for one request. :) If nobody can't do that, I'm fine with it, I don't actually believe any requests get done, I'm just desperate writing here xD

I'd like to see a mod that makes enchanted weapons recharge little by little automatically, more or less like it was in Morrowind. I know this mod is possible because a similar one existed in TES IV: Oblivion. I'm asking for this mod because ok, unlimited charges is just TOO much, but having to find/buy empty soul gems and then fill them with a NON human NPC (60% of them ARE human -.-) via soultraping is worse in my opinion. So something balanced would be an auto-rechargable mechanism with a in-game menu (SkyUI I guess) where the player could change the recharge rate. But even without the menu, it would be great, just having the weapons equipped recharge overtime would be just great :smile: Thanks for reading and sorry for my bad English, non-native English speaker here :smile: Edit: I got confused; when I said a in-game menu I meant MCM, then one SkyUI uses too.
